Wedding Chapel by the Sea

From the very beginning I was not happy with this chapel. There was a cheap 8.5×11 typed-​up sign hanging on the door saying that personal cameras were not allowed to take your own pictures. Who in their right mind would NOT take pictures, especially since it was my brother’s wedding! There was also a handwritten post-​it note attached asking guests not to ring the door bell because a wedding was in progress. It looked extremely unprofessional.
The bridal suite was okay to get ready in. It had a mini fan, a bathroom and a full length mirror in it. The altar where the actual wedding was held was decorated nicely. However, the video cameras they had set up in three different parts of the room were cheap little Sony handhelds. These were the video cameras that they were using to make a wedding video?! I am curious to see what this video will look like, however from what another reviewer stated I am not expecting more than just a slideshow of photos.
During the ceremony, there was no photographer in sight. SO we whipped out our phones and cameras and took our own pictures. No one said anything. When the ceremony ended, a woman came rushing in with her camera and pushed the groom, bride and her father out of the auditorium saying they were now going to re-​enact the whole thing for the photos. I’m pretty sure that’s not how you’re supposed to do it. When you’re getting married you want the true emotion to show in your photos! On top of this strange re-​enactment photo shoot, the photographer was using a 700 dollar Nikon DSLR camera with the original stock lens. My boyfriend owns this same exact camera and he only purchased this camera to take photos as a hobby. Any real photographer should use a full frame camera and certainly NOT use the stock lens that came with it! The brides mother upgraded the package before the ceremony started so that we would have more photos and also a wedding video, but after seeing the whole process unfold I was terribly unimpressed and very disappointed.

When me and my wife got engaged, we both decided we want a beach wedding and choice Myrtle beach. After researching around on line, we came across Wedding Chapel by the Sea. after do more research we decided to go with the Platinum package. It 7,500 dollars but it included pretty much everything you needed. From invitations, reception, catering, a golf out ting for the groomsmen, spa day for the bridal party, and even two night honeymoon suite at the Sea Mist. I had everything we needed. As time pass Wedding Chapel was emailing back and forth (at the time) my fiancé parents (who were paying for it). They would show wedding cakes and catering options to pick from. A month before the wedding they told us they double booked the reception hall but the new hall ended up being much nicer.
So we got down there, did are spa day and golf out ting and everyone really enjoyed it. Then we did the rehearsal and we were pleased with the gazebo outside were we where getting married. Plus the Chapel inside (in case it rained) was very nice. The wedding day came up, of course I was extremely nervous. The wedding end up being perfect, couldn’t have asked it to be better. After the wedding we re staged the wedding for pictures, plus of course took a ton more pictures outside the chapel. Limo came and picked us up (which was included in the package), took us to the respect ion hall. We took more pictures and went inside. The reception was beautifully setup, The DJ (also included) did a great job and got everyone out on the dance floor. Later that night we checked into are honeymoon suite, it was a very nice room. So far Wedding Chapel did perfect. Weeks later include we were suppose to get pictures on line, a wedding album, and a 4 blue ray wedding videos.
First the picture came up on line, they were BAD! There was blurry shots, pictures with peoples eyes close, not locking at the camera and pictures with the photographer in it. We weren’t happy with them. So my mother in law emailed them about it. Turned out they uploaded the wrong file on line and ended up fixing it. The new pictures they upload were MUCH better. We got are wedding album in it it was pretty nice, not perfect but we enjoyed it. Then the wedding videos came in. In just had my wife and me being pronounced husband and wife, then having a slide show of pictures. Again not what we wanted but we contacted then and again they fixed it. So with the exception of the first time messing up on are pictures and wedding video. Wedding Chapel by the Sea did everything perfect.
