Just A-OK food. Good service. Nothing much to talk about…

I stopped in for a turkey wrap with side salad. The wrap was ok but needed more filling. The salad with dill dressing was good.

Decided on Somewhere in Time Café for brunch today. The four star rating on Unilocal helped direct us to this café. Upon arrival, we noticed a sign on the door notifying customers the establishment didn’t accept credit/debit cards. Despite this minor detail, we continued inside for breakfast. ATM was available inside. The establishment was pretty busy. The wait staff was very amenable, but slow. Neither the waitress who seated us or our waitress offered us beverages before attempting to take our order. The four of us ordered breakfast. I ordered a water and coffee. The waitress informed us the coffee and beverages other than water are self served and located by the cash register. Upon receiving our food, the four of us were disappointed with the home fries. The home fries seemed to be frozen and mushy when cooked. The corned beef hash was notably from a can, and lacked seasonings. Some of the food came out luke warm. The food overall was nothing more than average. The serving size was very adequate. For the four of us, our bill was $ 54 dollars. If you are looking for an average restaurant, please feel free to visit this establishment.

Just finished breakfast here for the first time. Food was delicious and ample. I had the sausage gravy and it was fabulous! I highly recommend it. Grab your own coffee with many choices to pick from! Wait staff were super friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated.

They do not accept credit or debit cards. I do not understand how in this day and age you cannot accept plastic. Directing me to some shady ATM that changes money to use is ridiculous. Even the farm market vendors have Square. The food was fine. It’s hard to mess up breakfast. The waiting area smells like cat pee.

What a great find for breakfast. Walk in and seat yourself; get your own coffee and tea(this is genius!) we had omelets and chicken apple sausage. All delicious. Looks like it must be very busy on weekends, we were there on Thursday Jan 31 and people were streaming in around 10 am. My daughter also likes their other place in Waterford, When Pigs Fly. We will try them next…

Can’t say enough good things. The hospitality, the food, the service all top notch! A walk inside, and you’re greeted with a little wait, but it’s short and you’re invited to go inside and grab yourself a mug and get started on your coffee while you wait. Once inside, you’re greeted by 50s and 60s kitchen furniture and a feeling like you’re in your mom’s or grandma’s kitchen. The food choices for breakfast/brunch were creative and well done. There were also more typical breakfast dishes as well, and everyone of those I saw come out of the kitchen looked great. I had a special that consisted of tortillas folded in the shape of boats and turned on the griddle so they stayed that way, some rice, taco seasoned sausage and a perfect scramble with avocado. This was called«Breakfast Taco Boats». Also at our table we had Egg Nog French Toast. This tasted like Christmas on a plate. The food, the warmth and the coziness of this experience make it what it is

I thought I wrote a little something for this place already. I don’t know my phone could have eaten it… Anyways, this place was awesome. I am not from the area but my boyfriend is and he just found it and now were hooked. We go and sit ourselves at a retro diner table with cool chairs, then help ourselves to a cup of coffee at this cute station set up on the wall. I like making my own coffee not only because it will taste better but I can get a refill when I’m ready, not because the server is offering. Diggin’ it. I got the classic eggs, home fries, toast with a side of bacon. All awesome, especially the home fries. Food comes out fast and hot, which like I always say is all I ask for when I’m paying for food, let… it…be…hot… I will come back again and again to casually stroll in, sit down at what feels like my kitchen table, make a coffee, my way and then have someone else make me breakfast. Perf.

This is an excellent place for brunch. They are cute, all fresh ingredients, and the staff is super friendly. When you buy. Coffee it’s unlimited, and you can take it to go. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

Absolutely needs to be known as THE best spot for both breakfast and lunch. No lie, any complaints over price are more than made up for in the consistent quality. People looking for standard food fare will probably be disappointed. The selections are always creative, and with good ingredients that add that extra flair. Favorites include the pancake specials they run(cinnamon bun being my favorite, pumpkin a close second), and the chicken aloi wrap. Any place that uses goat cheese as well as they do, is good in my book. Again, my absolute favorite. The added effort by the staff to share some banter while I read at the counter is just baby gravy on top of what’s already a delicious plate of mashed taters

Usually a fast paced, noisy, not so clean, poorly laid out, place with mediocre food doesn’t charge a fortune to eat. I must say that after thirty years in the business I was shocked by our bill. The place is usually really busy which makes me wonder who is eating here, and how on earth this place has 4 stars. The servers aren’t rude, but neither are they engaged or helpful. The guest gets their own coffee? There were three of us, one of us was 12 years old, and our bill including tip was $ 65. When the check arrived at the table, it was illegible, and no charge for any of the food was on it, and you have to get up again to pay a cashier. You can only pay cash, which makes me wonder.

I’ll start with the good… The food was absolutely delicious. This place is really welcoming and the environment is a fusion of kitchen dining and a small town bakery. The food was delicious and makes up for the negatives I’ll get to shortly. I ordered the burrito with added avocado. There was a subtle kick(I’m guessing from the sausage) but only subtle because it’s buried underneath so much flavor. I enjoyed every bite and though I’d wanted another, the portion was more than filling. To reiterate what’s been mentioned in other reviews, the home fries are pretty special… plenty of seasoning without tasting over-seasoned. My wife ordered a bacon egg and cheese with avocado on a gluten free English muffin. I want to commend the café for having the GF option. It’s increasingly more available but not often delicious and Someplace in Time really got it right. Lastly, take advantage of the coffee to go option! Now, the bad… Flies come with the territory with outdoor seating, but there should be traps or something for the indoor eaters. It took away from the eating experience every time we had to swat flies which happened frequently. The floors were gross. Maybe they had a really busy morning but needless to say I averted my eyes in order to maintain my appetite. Same goes for the door knobs. Sounds like I’m nitpicking but the home-y ambiance is only nice when it’s a clean ‘home.‘ We read ahead so we knew to bring cash, but that’s a pet peeve of mine. It’s 2015… I get that you don’t want to pay fees on the cards and you get to be more flexible in reporting profits, but it sucks for consumers. All in all, definitely check this place out. I’m the first to admit that I overthink things like dirty floors and a few flies, but even with all that I’d go back. The food is delicious and really well priced.

Absolutely, hands down our favorite breakfast place! The entrance is hard-ish to find the first time, but signs help lead the way. They only take cash, so be prepared! Now, the food! We always check the specials board because they have some really amazing things on there. We are huge French toast lovers so that’s always what we check first. If they don’t have anything new, the banana bread french toast is to die for! Their sister store(when pigs fly) doesn’t have it on the every day menu so we seem to frequent SWIT more often. Their corn beef hash(regular or the spicy) is super good as well. It gets really busy on weekends with a line out the door, so be prepared. They do have free coffee while you wait though!

Still unreal. I am once again amazed at the quality of the food and service. I made so many alterations to my breakfast today and they were mobbed and my meal still came out perfect.
