How easy it would have been for Boardgarden to up-​sell the boarder novices (my 9 year old son and I), but they didn’t. I’m not sure if it was Kevin that helped us, I should have asked for his name. Awesome dude! He was so patient with my son, asked great leading questions, answered my rookie questions…
Customizing a board could have cost us upwards of $ 200. but when my son saw the used boards, and inquired, the «awesome dude!» was more than happy to assist. We ended up finding a super cool REAL board with wheels that are good for «tricks», and we were out of there for about $ 50.
You have my business for life! I’m so happy that Boardgarden is here. Top notch. My son can’t wait to get back in to check out the shoe selection & clothing, and to get some bigger wheels for street riding.

I truly believe in supporting local business, whether or not you are local or from out of town these guys are it when it comes to personable service and knowledge. Who wants to visit some chain store run by teenagers who have no real knowledge about the products they are selling? Lifelong participants in the sports they service and family men, it’s a no brainier when it comes to business. Tommy has been helping me with skateboarding needs as well as the occasional snowboard trip for myself and my three children for more than five years. He always has a positive helpful attitude and will in fact go above and beyond when it comes to service. He has delivered products in a pinch, instructed two of my kids, and even given them a ride to skate camp, and bought the kids lunch. I would recommend Boardgarden Napa hands down.

Grew up in Napa, bought a groupon, because I wanted to come get some great sweatshirts, and that I did! I picked up two really amazing ones. Got them home, and they are the best — high quality, and a reasonable price.
Came back last week with my BF to pick out kid 2’s birthday present. Kevin helped us custom build him a skateboard. He freaked with joy when he saw it, and the best part? custom built = same price had I gone and picked one off a shelf. Oh ya, and I got myself two pairs of REEF flip flops for… drum roll… $ 5 a pair. SCORE!
Kevin is Ah-​May-​ZIng! Store is clean and well stocked with just about anything you could want for boarding (skate, snow etc.)

I have bought many skateboards, shoes and jackets here over the years for my sons.
I try really hard to support the small businesses in town and this is a great one. I think it must be a great first job too, as I have seen many, many teens rotate through over the years!
The free stickers are always a hit, even with my older kids… and anyone from Napa knows all about those stickers…(they are EVERYWHERE)

I’m an expert snowboarder, have been going my whole life. I know how to tune my own boards, but have been living in an apt. so went here to get my board tuned up before a big ski trip.
I’m not sure what the f*ck they did… but it was terrible. I went on my ski trip, only to have my board STUCK on the snow when I got to the top of the mountain. Literally stuck. Would not move. I’m not sure what kind of wax they used, if they got the iron hot enough, if they scraped it off AT ALL, but my board was useless. It took me 30 minutes with a credit card to scrape off enough wax to get down the mountain.
At $ 35 for a tune-​up, save your money and get it done on the mountain.
Not to mention on my way out of the store, some skater hanging out called me a bitch as I was leaving with my board.
Save your money, Save your time. Go somewhere else.

Having been on the board since my dog days of youth in LA, it’s always a blast from the past to visit and to see a board shop you know has been around since ‘Back in the day… and going strong for so long! The staff at BOARDGARDEN are dedicarted skaters, snowboarders, surfers and such and LIVE the lifestyle, know their craft and wares, in depth. For years they’ve supported local skating talent, youth events and skate parks. It’s not a corp. mall chain with seasonal skater wanna-​bes, like Zumies! It’s the real mom & pop, live in your neigbrohood pepz like u & and me, with kidz in school that love to grind and get air. They’ve got a great variety of adult and youth clothing, boards, gear and swag… and man, I luv those balance boards — gift hint! Quality boards for all styles! Killer service, great gear advice, they take thier time and that’s why they have such a large following of devoted customers! There’s no rush, no hype, just chill and feel the brotherhood.
BOARDGARDEN is more than a shop, it’s a Nor*Cal tradtition!

This place is awesome!
The lady and I went to go look at the Nixon’s that they had and were wowed by how much stuff they had. They have a ton of Nike SB stuff.
The dude opened the Nixon case for us and let us graze. It was semi-​orgasmic going through and trying on all of the watches. We both ended up buying one and it turned out they were on sale. Serious plus. The owner even took a link out of the watch that I had on that I bought at another shop. Great customer service!

i grew up going to this place and getting all my snow board stuff when i was a kid.
the guys here are really cool, and know what they are talking about. ever since i moved back to the city years ago, i still have not been able to find a board shop that compares to boardgarden.
there prices are reasonable. and they have an amazing selection of all things board related!
great one stop shop. plus your spending your hard earned money at a local mom and pop shop.
