If you are an actual Punjabi, or even slightly familiar with North Indian food you know their dishes are not a loyal rendering. I just didn’t like the taste. Most of their clientele is not Indian for a reason. Service was good.

Having tried most of the Indian restaurant in the area I had the most expectations of this place. But after having lunch thaali i am really disappointed. My first question to the owners where is the chilli? From first instance itself confusion started. A gravy served as soup. Spinach chana which was difficult to make out. Butter chicken was OK but that was about it. Mixed veg looked like cocktail of stale vegetables. In the end jalevi which was so thick that any chance of star added on to this review was gone. Not coming again for even 5 $(half of current price)

On friday nite 16th May we ordered 2 chicken biryani and a Goat biryani. Chicken biryani smell was soo aweful that we threw it the trash rite away. And I am not exaggerating the things but even had to clear the trash in the nite because of the smell. Even by looks any biryani lover would easily say its not actually a biryani, but just some masala rice. Not going to order at this place again.

Would not recommend this. Very less variety. Other restaurants offer much variety and better quality of food at the same rate.

We tried this restaurant last week and we really enjoyed the food here. We are vegetarian and my wife cannot eat very spicy food. They prepared the food very mild for us so she can enjoy. We ordered Carrot Spinach soup, Chana Saag, Daal Maakhni and Vegetable Biryani. Everything was perfectly spiced and delicious. Biryani was the best. Excellent service too! We will definitely go back.

They have the best samosas in town. Nice small and cozy ambiance, good service. All the items tested were above par. Lunch buffet was fresh and tasty. Dinner was worth the trip. Will visit again. Loved the non-veg items especially.

It was my birthday and we really didn’t want to go out as the weather wasn’t so great, so we ordered carry out. This is such good Indian food. Lived off of Devon for 6 years and have had lots of Indian food. Everything is so authentic. The samosas were flakey and tasty. The naan was very fresh. Everyone loved the Tandori Chicken. Even the plain basmati rice was good. So happy to have found such a good restaurant so close! I agree with the others that the one star reviews are not credible. We will be back really soon!!!

Their buffet is an awesome array of unique choces with each dish exporing a new dimension of flavor. Minty, savory, rich, sweet, and a little spicy are divided and combined to create a distinct array of delicious choices. Bones in the goat curry and 2 so-so vegetarian dishes would have made this a 4, but a mild savory channa with warm nan and unbelieveable mango ice cream make this place worth a second trip and special distinction.

I have been meaning to try this place out for awhile, and I am happy I finally did. The service was excellent and so was the food! The shrimp appetizer was awesome. The shrimp were huge and tasty. The perfect seasonings and a big portion size. Next the chicken tikki masala and lamb vindaloo did not disappoint. Both dishes were flavorful and made to the perfect spiciness level. I will definitely be back!

We tried it out tonight. My wife was skeptical due to the two negative reviews however I looked at them more closely and didn’t feel that they were very precise in their discussion of the restaurant and the food, which made them less than credible. We liked the food a lot. Chicken Vindaloo was tasty, not blazing hot but built to a nice, cumulative nose-running by the end. The somosas shells were light and crispy and the filling was very light and tasty, not greasy or anything like that. They were out of the chicken wings so we also had a ½ order of tandoori chicken which the three of us also enjoyed, rich flavor and roasted nicely, not overdone. We’ll go back I think as it’s very convenient to our house. The 15 year old wanted to go back tomorrow.

I took Chicken Biryani for carry out. I can confidently say that this is probably the worst Biryani in Chicagoland area. The quantity was quite less for the price(9.99). The taste was mediocre. You may want to call it Chicken Pulao. Its a no brainer that Chicken and Rice were separately cooked with minimal spices and mixed. The quality of Indian food has gone up. If Chilli Leaf does not make significant changes to its quality, they will cease to exist in a few months. For folks in Naperville area, I still think, Persi’s Grill has the best taste and value for the money. Chilli Leaf, RIP !!! I am done with you.

I had heard good things about this restaurant online and had passed it many times and figured I’d give it a try. It’s a small relatively well-decorated Indian restaurant with nice lighting and a clean, sparsely decorated interior. Suffice it to say the food here is fantastic. I’m vegetarian and got the malai kofta, paneer tikka masala, and biryani with paneer as well as nice and naan. I have experience with Indian food in the past and this was probably the best I’ve ever had. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted wonderful. The restaurant was basically empty at the time I ate there(which is a shame b/c I really hope they succeed and have lots of business). The waitress was incredibly attentive and friendly and the food was prepared in under 10 minutes. No kidding, it was fast. The only qualm I had about the meal was the price. The portions weren’t really big enough to warrant the $ 10 entrée fee without rice and bread. But to be fair everything tasted fresh and carefully prepared so I wasn’t too upset about the cost; it’s only slightly higher than average Asian take-out prices. Next time I go I’d love to try their buffet; I’m thinking this arrangement may counteract the cost issue. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Naperville area. I’m already planning my return visit!

I really enjoyed this place a lot. I went with my girlfriend, and we are both vegetarian, so dining out can sometimes be frustrating. At Chilli Leaf, we were really happy with the selection of veggie dishes, but that is not the only reason for the 5 star review. It was the best Indian food I’ve ever had. We ordered the paneer biryani, paneer tikka masala, malai kofta, and some garlic naan. All of it was amazing. Perfectly spiced with a really satisfying rich texture. For some reason, it was super slow in there, which is what led me to write this review to make sure word spreads so this place can stick around and thrive. If you’re looking for something new that will not let you down, try it! We are new to the area, but this place is officially our go-to Indian place.

My first time ever having Indian food, and I have to say the experience was awesome. The flavors of the food tasted so good, and the look of the dishes were lovely. The prices of the food are not expensive at all, and the best part is how genuine and honest the staffing was in helping us to pick out the right dish for us. They answered all our question on the food with a smile on their faces, and didn’t make us feel uncomfortable one bit. My husband and I will keep going back to this restaurant and would definitely recommend to all our family and friend who just want something different and tasty in their lives, with great food, and awesome service. Love this place! The people are so friendly and willing to help you pick out whats good. The food is amazing and the price is cheap than most indian restaurants ive been to. I cant get enough of their chicken tika masala. Ive had it three times already in the past two weeks and everytime to go back i try another dish that ive never had. So far everything ive had i liked. If i have leftovers, i cant wait to eat it again. I will back over and over again.

So exited to see this place open so close to my parents house in Naperville! I went for their lunch buffet and everything was delicious. I can’t wait to go back for dinner. The restaurant is cute and cozy, do yourself a favor and go here soon, before word gets out and it gets really busy!
