STAY AWAY! Went in for a battery replacement, came out with a severely scratched watch and no new battery. They could not remove the back, but kept trying. Significantly scratched and dinged in three separate areas. He acted like it was normal and not his fault. Compounded by the fact that he could not have cared less. Took me 5 minutes to get him to admit he is not supposed to damage people’s watches, and another 5 to get him to offer a smug apology.
Such a horrible experience and grossly unprofessional. Worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time, with a damaged Movado to boot. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. Anywhere! One star because there is no lower score available. Horrendous shop!
Virtually never compelled to give a Unilocal review, but this was just so very bad. I actually think his rudeness trumped the damage to my watch.

I have had several jewelry items repaired here and ALL re-​broke within a few weeks. I’m mad at myself for returning to this store; I like to give local busineses support which is why I did.
Another problem was when I bought a gold chain for my daughter to wear her heirloom charm from her grandmother. The first day she wore it, the clasp failed to close and the necklace fell off (luckily she noticed). We went back to the store to ask for an exhange and they said there was no defect in the clasp; it was her fault because she didn’t put it on right?!
The customer service is sub par and I wouldn’t trust this buisness with any fine jewelry.

This guy is rude and arrogant and to be frank, he creeps me out. This place is more expensive than most.

The store is physically beautiful when you walk in. Larry is always been helpful to me to find what I’m looking for especially, if I don’t know what that is. Larry takes the time to educate you to diamonds. He is in the best sense of the word an old-​time jeweler, someone who really knows what he’s talking about and is passionate about creating something beautiful The jewelry in the store is high end, however they have collection of beautiful very affordable earrings, bracelets and rings, that I have been so happy with. We had our wedding rings designed by Larry and 12 years later we still love them, and still receive compliments on them! Recently I referred my niece and her fiancé to Yaseen Jewelry store. They love the rings that Larry worked with them as it turned out to be custom designed rings. They spent much less than they thought they would. If anything is not perfect with something you ordered Larry will work with you until it is.

Got a horrible vibe from this guy.

Just had rings appraised on my lunch hour. Larry was through, professional and very polite. The jewelry on display was beautiful and unique, i will be back to shop.

Horribly RUDE!!! They make sure you are we’ll aware of how long they have been in business (since 1910 was only mentioned about 6 times) and how many years experience the goldsmith has (45 years… so impressive). I don’t care if you’ve been in business for 113 years! Of course experience is a must when I’m handing over my engagement ring to be worked on. It’s a piece of jewelery worth $$ to you but to me it’s priceless. If you can’t deliver exceptional customer service how can I trust that your work will be exceptional???

This was a peaceful experience for a hectic search.
My fiancé and I had to wait until just a few months before our wedding to get my engagement ring. When we walked in, Larry didn’t try to pressure us. He started out by giving us a brief lecture/​talk on how to buy a diamond ring, what to look for, what to research on our own. He found out about our budget and then ordered a few diamonds within our budget for us to look at. A week later, we were back looking at diamonds and settings. Aside from the multiple selections of settings on display, he let us know that he could custom make a ring for us for potentially no extra charge, provided we could show in drawings or a magazine what type of style we were looking for.
He never tried to upsell us – of course, he gave us options above what our price range had been but I liked seeing the differences in what your money got you. He didn’t go dramatically over our budget.
I get so many compliments on my ring — even from perfect strangers. My diamond sparkles, the setting is lovely with a «halo» look. We were quite stressed out looking for a ring and Larry and his wife took all of the stress out of the equation.
My ring finger was not staying a constant size and I needed my ring sized down after our purchase. He happily sized it down at no charge.
If I ever need jewelry in the future, I have found my jeweler.

If I could give 10 stars I would. My fiancé and I simply walked in one day to speak to someone about the first steps of purchasing an engagement ring. We met Larry and his wife… a very kind and warm couple. Larry walked us through what we should look for in a diamond and gave us the basic information. We stopped back freqently over the next few months to ask questions. We also went to Zales and other big jewelers. We found Larry to be the most honest jeweler out there. He NEVER tried to upsale us. He always told my fiancé that «there is no amount you are supposed to spend, you spend what you can sleep with at night» and that’s the pricepoint we stayed in… never strayed. We picked out the diamond and I designed my setting. There was no insane cost for the design of my setting. We looked at many pictures and we drew examples together. When we drew what I wanted, me made a wax molding. The next time I saw it, I was being proposed to. I honestly love the ring more than I thought I could… a big part is the great story we have behind it with Harry W. Yaseen Jewelers. We stop by from time to time to say hello. All in all, great people and a great business! I can’t say enough about them!

I found this business online and their jewelry is impressive. I saw that they did jewelry appraisals and I needed my bridal set and an antique ring appraised. I also wanted to find out information about custom making a new wedding band for my engagement ring.
The appraisal went well and I was pleased. But when it came down to discussing a custom band for my engagement ring. I was upset with the way I was treated. I couldn’t get a price range on what I wanted, Mr. Yaseen was impatient with me, and basically made me feel that I couldn’t afford anything. So I thanked them for their time and went back to my jeweler who custom made my engagement ring: Eternal Jewelers in Aurora. And I will not ever look back.

Shortly after becoming engaged, I realized that I had a problem with any space that would be between my engagement ring and wedding band. Beginning with the jeweler my fiancé got it from, I attempted to solve what I thought would be a simple issue. Not quite.
I branched out to Oakbrook jewelers. Next Naperville. Turns out either no one wants to work on a diamond that isn’t theirs, they do not do custom work, or they just do not understand me. Until I walked into Harry W. Yaseen Jewelers, downtown Naperville.
Larry Yaseen sat down with us and listened. He didn’t give me weird looks. He drew pictures to make sure he understood exactly what I had in mind. He showed me beautiful examples of his custom work. He confidently convinced me, without being the slightest bit pushy, I may add, that I could trust him to create exactly what I had in mind to match my engagement ring.
At this point, I was so happy, I didn’t care what price tag he threw on it. For the time he spent with us, knowledge he shared, and trust he earned, the price tag was far less than expected.
The only reason I’ve given Harry W. Yaseen Jewelers 4 stars is because I have yet been able to part with my ring for the 2 weeks that it will take to create the band. But when I am, I am definitely coming here… and am certain I’ll be adding a star :)
