Mahboob’s is a great business! I would definitely recommend their threading and facial services. The owner is wonderful, conscientious and professional. The lady who did my threading was also dedicated, very kind and just created a pleasant experience for me.
The threading was really good — not painful, really well-​done. Comfortable and clean salon. They even threw in a free herbal facial for me which was very soothing and relaxing. My skin actually felt smoother and clearer just one day later! Their herbal facials are all-​natural and created in the salon.
If I lived in the area I would be a regular customer. Try Mahboob’s for any facial or threading needs. You will not be disappointed!

Very painful– Rivaz on rt 59 or sharada in carol stream does a better job, for a lower cost. Furthermore, though the staff was friendly overall, they were busy and somewhat inattentive.

Ask for Sheby, she does the best job. Well worth the wait, if there’s a line.
I’ve been going to Sheby for the past 7 years for my eyebrows, in my opinion, she is the best. She takes her time and makes makes sure I walk out happy. I NEVER have to double check. She has pride in her work.
I am a loyal customer of the salon. I am always treated with respect. They all know me by name. I’ve used some of the services like: facials and henna (on my feet), all done by Sheby, of course. I’ve been pleased with every service I’ve received from Sheby!
Come to think of it… sandal season is around the corner… More henna please!

Great place to get eyebrows done.

Anyway, I went here about 10 years ago to get my nose pierced. Fine enough. No infection, and I’m still rocking the stud.
I’ve gone here several times in the past 2 years to get a full face threading job done ($ 25 + tip). The women know what they are doing and are fast, but they are not particularly gentle. In fact, each time, I ended up breaking out because my skin got so distressed! When I told the beautician the next time, she included a *free* mask at the end of the threading session — which only helped minimize the reaction. I stayed with that combo for two more times, before giving up.
I eventually moved on over to the full face waxing treatment. Again, fast but not gentle. I am now going to an Egyptian place in the Tri-​Taylor/​UIC/​Little Italy area (Taylor and Morgan) that gets the job done and doesn’t leave me with 15-​year old pimples.
If I only wanted my eyebrows done, I’d go… but Sonia Salon offers it with a little less pain. And any authentic Indian place is going to have it for cheap and with good results. Lots more options out there!

I’ve been here a couple of times to get my eyebrows threaded and they’ve done well during both visits.
They seems to have a lot of business everytime I pass by. A couple of times I ended up going to the place across the street because I didn’t want to wait in line for too long.
Mahboob… how can you forget that name?
