When I’m in Naperville getting my hair done @Texture Hair Design, Greg recommend Phat! He loves the chicken fried rice. But I must I must say Their chicken lettuce wraps are phenomenal! A must have!

Top notch Chinese/Thai cuisine. I work near Phat Noodles, and am basing this review on two visits to the restaurant during lunch time. The atmosphere of the place is nice and quiet and adorned with modest Chinese décor. The dining area is a bit small, but that can be forgiven. The waitress was prompt. Tea is available, but must be requested and costs 75¢. On the first visit, I had the Phat Noodle sitr fry, on the second I had Kung Pao beef. The Phat Noodle Stir Fry seems to be an in-house creation and is appreciably spicy. The Kung Pao is one of the best versions of this dish I’ve had, and was also properly spicy. Both dishes were delicious and beautifully plated. The lunch specials come with an egg roll and soup. For both meals I had the hot and sour soup. This place’s hot and sour soup is about average. The Phat Noodle stir fry came with a spring roll and the Kung Pao came with an egg roll, both were above average. I recommend asking for mustard, it is fresh-made in the restaurant and delicious! For the money, the generous portions, and the quality of the food, Phat Noodles has earned the distinction of being my favorite Chinese place in Naperville. Check it out, you won’t regret it!

Worst pad Thai I have ever tasted. Some of the worst egg rolls I have ever had. Place stinks. Don’t know how it has 3.5 stars.

Best tasting, fresh ingredients in Thai/Chinese and Szechuan Chinese in Naperville for sure! Portions are huge and prices are not. It can get busy so be patient, but it’s definitely worth enduring any slow service issues. You won’t regret it.

Really good lunch special and noodles. Décor is nothing special but they have a great selection of food. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is that I asked for spicy and their spice level was pretty low. I guess I’ll have to ask for extra spicy next time.

I was hoping for a better experience. Restaurant wasn’t very clean. The staff wasn’t friendly. We were the only couple at the restaurant. I ordered egg drop soup(extremely salty and couldn’t finish it) and Singapore style noodles. Oil tasted old and rancid. Poor quality food. I ate my egg roll only and left.

It was a cozy little place, and kind of hidden when my sister and I found it one day. The food was very good, and not too expensive which I always love.

Really good for Chinese food. Their lunch deals are awesome for the price. I love the hot and sour soup which I typically don’t eat. Staff is friendly. The few times I’ve been there it’s been quiet. I haven’t been there for dinner.

Don’t come here unless you want to eat really bad Thai food and receive extremely poor service. I went to this restaurant since Joy Yee is not opened… I arrived and there was nobody at the counter so I grab a menu and woman came out with a straight bell and said ring the bell when you are ready and left to the kitchen. I rang the bell nobody came out, I waited a little an rang the bell again and the women once again came out, her attitude was like she was bothered. I felt that I was interrupting her… The restaurant was almost empty, only one guy sitting by himself. I paid my food and said thank you(after receiving my change) but she didn’t say thank you… And of course not an smile. I wait a little and received my food and left home. The food was bad, vegetables look very old. Definitively not coming back. Places like this should close…

When I worked out in Naperville, I used to be a weekly lunchtime visitor to Phat Noodles. It is a tiny little storefront tucked into a shopping plaza off of busy Ogden Avenue, where there are about 100 other lunchtime options. So the fact that I used to go there every week says a lot! If you love Asian cuisine(Thai/Chinese are the options here), this is one of the best in the area. They have a pretty thick menu and the prices are fair, especially considering how large the portions are. At lunch they can get pretty busy but still manage to serve you quickly. You can walk in and seat yourself(they generally only have the same few people working, a family I believe) so if they are busy don’t expect someone standing there waiting for you to walk in. They will be with you quickly if they are in the back grabbing food. The staff is friendly and courteous, and will remember your name and order if you go there often enough(which I love). They have no problem with special orders and did not ever charge me extra. My favorite dish is their Spicy Peanut Noodles, which was a special but they would still make it for me whenever I asked — amazing! I definitely would consider Phat Noodles one of the things that I miss most about working out that way.

I work about 2 miles away from this restaurant and have always wanted to drop by for a visit. Came immediately after work so there was no wait. Met the owner who was very friendly. I ended up ordering the Crazy Noodles and the Beef Chow Fun based on the Unilocal reviews. Prices were reasonable and portions very generous. The ingredients were fresh and the Flavor was ONPOINT! There is free parking right outside of the establishment. It was pouring out so I just rushed home. The décor is homey and warm so I would recommend this place both for take-out and dine-in. Heard great things about the fried rice so I will be back!

If you want Chinese food that includes fresh vegetables and chicken that is perfectly seasoned, phat noodles is your place! We orders large basil chicken and it was delicious– tons of fresh basil and orange and green peppers and not salty which was good. The large sizes are big enough for two adults and it comes with white rice. Prices are good too– ~$ 7 for small and $ 11 for large. Definitely recommend phat noodles!

Food: D Service: D Ambiance: C Rats! I have been to this place a few times over the years and thought it was OK. This trip will be our last though.:( Arrival: No one greeted us when we came in. We milled around for a few minutes, then another couple came in and the four of us milled around for a few more minutes, then finally we all seated ourselves and then the waitress came out and seemed confused that we had all seated ourselves but said nothing. It took a few more minutes to get menus. Still no talking. A few more minutes, water. Silence. I mean, we were saying thank you, but the waitress was mute. A few more minutes, aha! flatware! Now we’re getting somewhere. I hazarded a question: «can I see a drink menu? drinks? alcohol?» this really threw her for a loop. I honestly couldn’t tell if she didn’t speak english or was just the most painfully shy, inappropriately staffed wait person ever. Eventually she pointed to the soft drinks in the menu. OK. no cocktails tonight. We ordered crab rangoon. Large, underfilled, overcooked, greasy, and tasted like they were cooked in a day-old fishy deep fryer. waaah. Egg rolls. Not the style I prefer but tasted similar to many I’ve had in other chinese restaurants. I requested condiments — hot chili paste? nothing. sri racha? nothing. hot sauce? blank stare. then she says«hot mustard?» sure, but do you have hot chili paste? round and round we go. finally she brought out individual bowls of each condiment — almost one at a time. so strange. I guess they have opted to forego the condiment caddy. Those are handy little things. Panang Curry. Strrrrrange odor. Might have been the canned bamboo shoots? I’m sorry to say but it honestly smelled like a dirty diaper — or something bathroomy. And I still tried it! agh! No clue what that smell could have been, honestly. It was uncharacteristically hot and seemed to be filled with frozen peas. hm. I have ordered panang curry many times. I have always loved it. I didn’t want a second helping, I had no interest in bringing it home, and I regretted eating what I did eat. Beef Chow Fun. first bite: large chunk of low-grade beef gristle. yiiiiiikes! he ate around all the beef — only ate the noodles and onions. should have sent it back but he didn’t. He said it tasted like dog food. He’s never made a remark like that about anything anywhere so it must have been terrible. Décor: My impression of the décor was better during the day for some reason. At night it seemed harshly lit and dingy. There were large scrapes across the walls and the tables are very diner-y. Small space, a little cramped. I have to say the paintings on the wall were really beautiful — enjoyed that. And also, the iced water was delicious. It was just tap water, but you know, I’m trying to find something I enjoyed. i am posting two stars only as an homage to the less traumatic experiences i’ve had there before. Also once i took my son there, who is a handful, and the owner was very nice about his antics. Two tables were seated when we came in. By the time we left — around 8pm on a Saturday night, there were 5 tables — probably about half the tables — were seated. I couldn’t detect speech emanating from the waitresses’ mouth toward any of the other patrons, either. There was just the one waitress on the floor. Maybe one or two people in back. Terrible, weird service. Food was at best below average and at worst, cringe-worthy.

I can’t give this place 5 stars simply because I have never dined in. All of my experiences have been with carry out. I was introduced to this place when I worked at a mortgage company near by. The people there would order out from this establishment. The boss would order a variety of different dishes and we would all get to sample each dish. I lived everything that I tried, my favorite being the Phat Noodle stir fry and the pad thai. Both dishes are so full of flavor and the portions are great. I’ve tried the chili shrimp, the vegetarian delight and the different fried rices and everything was delicious. I havent eaten there since I stopped working at the mortgage place but I will make a trip back to actually dine in. The Phat noodle stir fry is calling my name.

Their fried rice is the best fried rice in the chicagoland area. Perfectly cooked, authentic, not orange. The chicken in the rice is good white meat in nice cuts. I would recommend Phat Noodles over any other location in the suburbs.

I was in a mood to try a Thai/Chinese restaurant in Naperville area that has been around for several years. It has received decent rating on Unilocal in the past so I say«what the hey let’s try it.» We walk in around 5:30 p.m. get a seat immediately, and they were two parties dining in there so we were glad it wasn’t empty. However, the place looks drab and I felt regret for even suggestion this place for dinner. We were in for it and when the food came it didn’t get better. O Boy, were sadly disappointed. My dad, husband and kids didn’t like the food at all. First we order«Tom Yum Soup,» and I have no idea they make it. However, the way I tasted it looked like water based with Tom Yum Soup base from a jar, that I can do myself at home. Like instant tom yum soup base instead of doing from scratch and homemade broth. We also had their famous«mulan noodles, and«Crazy spicy Noodles,» and«Chicken Panpang Curry» all of which were over priced dishes that pass able but not at all like Thai food we have had and we love Thai food. You know we were hoping for a better outcome and we didn’t get it. I felt the service was okay but the whole staff seems small and they were stretched and the restaurant felt like it was lacking in so much like it has potential to be great but without a good Chef and wait staff it’s hard to give it more than two stars for this place. We won’t be back any time soon. I don’t think I’ll forget how this wasn’t good.

Excellent food. We had lard nar and chicken chow fun. Both dishes were fabulous and the portions were large enough that we have enough for dinner tomorrow night. The noodles were cooked just the way we like them. We were the only ones eating there at 6:00 p.m., yet it seemed to take a while for our food to come. I can see why if they’re staffed for just a few customers they could get overwhelmed on a busy night. They may have some issues with time management but we were very happy with the quality and flavor of the food.

Hands down the best dumplings in Naperville. The food is very fresh and not overly Americanized. Very cordial owner. She’s not that talkative and that may come off rude to some but it’s great for me. … And if I didn’t say it already — best dumplings in town.

This place is awesome! I’ve ordered more carryout than anything, but even the one dine-in experience I had was fantastic. Always ask for recommendations and specials! My only reason for not giving five stars(okay, two) are one: I love me some spice, but they mean business when it comes to the spice factor. Ask for it on the side or for extra on the side, because they do add a ton. Also, I wish this were strictly a Thai menu — I’m not super educated in the difference, but wish there was a line between Chinese and the Thai.

I came back for a weekday lunch. I had an $ 8.50 bowl of Phat noodle soup and it was ok. Colleagues had a couple of their $ 8.50 lunch specials which are generously sized and come with soup and egg roll. Service was a little slow, and we beat the crowd that showed up around noon, and that had the place 75% filled. Good place to talk over lunch also and if you have a little more time. I’d probably go with 3.5 stars for the lunch special just due to generous serving size.
