On our«go to» list for guaranteed delicious eating. The fresh fruit glacés are now my favorites — I buy them in quantity and give them as gifts. We schedule our travels to drive by Monica’s when the shop is open. Recommend bringing cash with you as that’s the purchase mode here, and if it hot weather and you want to pick up frozen or glacé, bring a cooler with ice, although you can buy an insulated bag on site(if they are not sold out). One more tip: be careful pulling in to the parking lot, the place grabs attention so sometimes people who didn’t know this place was there will make a last second decision to stop do they don’t miss out! Sometimes people don’t even take time to park well, the thought of pie is too intoxicating! The staff has always been kind and polite, and this has been true for all the years we have been coming here. We also pick up grape scented soap for gifts, as well as jams and preserves. Fresh glacé …

I think the rude little girls that work there need to find a new job. Then they say they take credit cards on here but when you get to the counter they make you use an ATM and charge you a $ 1.00 to use it. Will never shop here again. Oh and the pie quality… Yeah that has gone down too.

I grew up here and have always been fond of Monica’s pies. However with the rudeness of her staff and the no credit card thing they have now I will NOT be returning here. If you have a sign that says you PREFER cash and checks then you should be able to use a CC. If you are not accepting CC then have it clearly placed outside your establishment for people to see! If I had known this prior to coming in I would have went to one of the competitors in the area. Seeing that Monica’s did come in 3rd. Why would you not accept CC when most people do not carry cash. Oh but there is an ATM machine inside that I am sure Monica’s gets a profit from. So if you are going to go to Monica’s clearly bring cash so she does not earn that extra $ 1!

Wow! Never heard of grape pie, so just had to try! Was not disappointed. Quite a different, good flavor. Old time country store, with friendly staff. Went with the crumble topping on pie.

My wife and I stopped by Monica’s as we have heard all about the grape pie. we can honestly say it was one of the better pies we have had… she was able to keep the skins on and it made the pies unique

Grape pie… need I say more? Grape pie is a regional food and Monica’s does it best. Don’t take my word for it, try it your self! Hours are 9 to 5 every day and cash is preferred.

Best grape pie! My family is from the Finger Lake area and whenever we vist, we HAVE to stop by Monica’s. You cannot get grape pie anywhere else and they make the best fillings for it, plus they have an extensive jam and jelly selection and other homemade pies, which are deffinitely worth the trip.

Monica’s grape pie is excellent. If I had never had a Jenny’s grape pie, I would say Monica makes the best hands down. It’s still amazing but it’s a bit sweeter than I like and find Jenny’s to not be as sweet which I prefer. I like Monica’s crust better. Monica also make chicken pot pies to die for. I like Monica’s grape pies enough that I still buy one and will compare it to Jenny’s every year.

I stopped here today because the had grape bread, although no one else in town did… And my in-laws wanted some bread. It turns out that the reason no one else has it is because the grapes haven’t gotten to whatever ripeness stage they need to get to in order to make bread with them. The bread here had been frozen, and they sold her a partially thawed loaf… I am convinced that Monica’s has a a good reputation simply because it has an amazing location… Who doesn’t drive south Naples down 64 with visions of grape sweets in their heads? So you come down the hill and there it is. People stop because it’s there, and don’t ever try another, even when these pies are more expensive than most others, and the crust seems like it might be pre-made. The thing is that once you eat the hidden gem grape pies– Jeni’s & Cindy’s, then Monica’s come in a distant third.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! We got the grape pie, black raspberry pie and apple crumb pie. Oh and 2 chicken pot pies. I honestly dont know what I liked the best. I could have eaten 5 of those pot pies!!! What really did it for me was the crust. I am NOT a pie crust person but hers is phenominal! I actually bought 4 bags of the pie crust mix to take home!

Unique little pie shop. Famous for their grape pie. Their apple-nut crunch pie is very good. Price is a little bit higher than what you would pay in a grocery store but you’re getting a fresh homemade pie.

On a visit to some of the wine trails, we decided to stop by Monica’s for a grape pie. We mostly stopped because we were happy to see an LGBT-pride flag hanging on the front of the business– though we’d support the gay/lesbian friendly businesses. Grape pie is not something on a typical southern menu, so we decided to try it out. Grape pie reminds me a bit of grape jelly on a pie crust. Delicious, but a bit strange to my palette. The only thing that surprised me a bit is that we learned that Monica’s is doing away with accepting credit cards. I am not sure this is a smart business move, as folks seem to be moving TOWARDS using MORE cards, not less. I certainly would not have used the in-house ATM machine(though, I’m sure this is profitable to Monica’s– no longer paying a credit card transaction fee and then earning foreign ATM fees on their in-house machine.) I imagine many of your out-of-town guests would feel the same way. I would have left without purchasing anything rather than having to pay an ATM fee. Seems like a poorly thought out business move. Get a Square Reader. Your customers won’t mind you adjusting the prices to cover your transaction fees. In all, however, worth the stop when visiting the wine trails in the area. Taste the grape pie.

A five-star place delivers exactly what I need. Yesterday, I needed a grape pie and Monica’s came through. The girl said their crumble top is popular and I now know why. It’s not what you are thinking – the topping in loose, almost like it’s waiting to be baked. It blends perfectly with the grape filling and the crust. A warning if you’ve never had a grape pie. It is overwhelmingly sweet for some. Me? I just keep eating it.

Overall Impression: I haven’t been to the location in person, but I have had 2 items from here in the last few years. The most recent was in the form of a Blueberry Crumb pie that a coworker brought into work. Normally I wouldn’t go on Unilocal and review somewhere I haven’t had a full experience from, but this pie was absolutely amazing. I recall the strawberry baked good I had in the past to be equally as amazing. If I ever have the opportunity to come in person or eat more of their pastries, I’ll update this, but at the moment I have no negative things to save about what I’ve tasted from here.

If you are going to Naples you better stop at Monicas on you way in or out of the town. My college room mate was from Naples and actually worked at Monica’s, and I would tell her not to come back to school unless she was bringing pie with her. One of the best pies was all made out of fresh picked berries. I also agree with the previous reviews that the strawberry rhubarb, chicken pot pie and peach pie are the best. I used to try a different one every week. The grape pie is the famous one because Naples has their annual grape fest, but if you aren’t a grape person the other ones are very excellent as well. Don’t let the name fool you though, the bakery sells other delicious goods and lots of jam. Gotta love local goodness!

I loooove this place. I cannot go home to Naples without stopping here to fill a long pie order before heading back to Connecticut. I bring home at least two grape pies for myself and family. You can get them with a regular crust on top or a crumb crust. They also have frozen unbaked pies, which you can bake at home and tell your in-laws you made! Just kidding. I would never do that(mine already know where they really come from). If you have never had a grape pie, you have to buy one. If you know of anyone who hasn’t tried a grape pie, buy one for them. Not everyone likes them(I love them), but it is something you have to have once in your life, and this is the place to get them because Naples is the grape pie capital! They also have many other different pies to choose from and they are all so good, so no one goes home a loser. I am a big fan of the apple caramel nut as well as their amazing chicken pot pies. Mmmmm! This place is another wonderful small, local business in my hometown that I am proud to support! Monica is super nice and her pies are phenomenal! EATMOREPIE!

This place is always a spot we stop at before heading to our family’s summer house in Canandaigua and then again on our way back to the NYC. LOVE their grape pie but their strawberry rhubarb pie and chicken pot pie rocks!!! Also we stock up on their homemade jams as well.

When searching for the perfect pie I give equal weight to both the crust and filling. Monica’s gets an A++ on both counts. This was our first year attending the Naples Grape Festival. Downtown there are several little booths that sell grape pies and baked goods. But we asked a few locals and they all said that it was worth the trip out of town to go to Monicas. I am so glad we took their advice. The crust is crispy and tender, and doesn’t taste of shortening(a BIG minus in my book) — more like a nice shortbread. The filings are fresh and DELICIOUS. I have yet to find a pie that is of the same quality as my Mom’s…but this is it… the REALDEAL. They have a chalk board inside that lists all their fresh, frozen, and u-bake pies. I would not think it outside the realm of possibility to make a special trip to Naples just for Monica’s pies. My personal rating system: 5-star: Carmel Apple Nut, Cherry, Raspberry, Coconut Cream, and Grape 4-star: Chicken Pot Pies(could use more chicken and seasoning), Pumpkin, Key Lime(not a fan of graham cracker crust) 3-star: Fresh Peach(the peaches were too crisp, lacked flavor, and am not a fan of clove in a fruit pie.) Pecan Pie(wayyyy too sweet and sticky), Elderberry — I guess I just do not like the taste of this berry.
