After a hard day of volunteering on the trail maintenance team deep in the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park, which was in preparation for Bob Becker’s Everglades Ultra running event next weekend, Nicole and I were eager to try out a new craft Brewery in Naples. We settled on Naples Beach Brewery which is not on a beach, as the name otherwise suggests, but at a commercial business complex. However, never you mind that. There was convenient parking all around and corn hole games in front of the brewery. The owner, Will Lawson, originally from Michigan, has brought some very exciting craft brews to Florida’s west coast. We sampled for free about a half dozen different beers before settling on their Nose Dive IPA and BBQ smoked porter. We also had another half pint each of their Coconut Coffee Crème Stout(aka Triple C). Each of these beers is a work of art and you can tell these brew masters know what they are doing when Local Brew Masters from Monument Brewery(Bonita Springs) are spending another night here sampling beers and enjoying the company. Naples Beach Brewery doesn’t have their own kitchen and works with Porkers BBQ( ) who had their trailer parked right outside. The owner of Porkers BBQ hands you a billiard ball with a number on it and one of his staff finds you when your order is ready. We sampled their amazing pork tostada which paired very well with the beers we were drinking. We loved the beer creativity that Naples Beach Brewery offers and can’t wait to come back to sample some more.

Super fun little spot! Hard to find and doesn’t look like a traditional bar or restaurant. You won’t get waited on and you can only get food if the food truck is there(hopefully it is, because the bbq is awesome). As long as you know what to expect though, you will enjoy. Large selection of beer and it’s a super casual atmosphere.

Certainly not easy to find, especially after dark, but sure glad we did. Cool space with indoor and outdoor seating. They have about 15 beers on tap, the six or so we tried were all pretty good. They had something I’d never seen before, beer running through an infuser. There were two kinds of beer being infused when we were there, one running through strawberries and bananas and another running through butterscotch candies. Really unique and quite tasty! I’d be back for those alone. We didn’t try the bbq from the food truck, but it smelled great. Definitely a hidden gem in Naples if you’re craving craft beer.

Once you find this place, you discover it was worth looking for. Tucked into a light industrial park, Naples Beach Brewery offers up some great beers and a unique, fun atmosphere. All the beers are made onsite. We were only able to try about 5 of them, but I’d go back for more. The most unique feature was their flavor infused system. When we were there, they were serving a porter with Werthers caramel candies dissolved in it. Delicious! They had a nice wide variety of beers, and a food truck that I think was featuring pork on an open fire. We didn’t eat, but the smells from the table next to us were delicious. They have a cool«house» music channel running featuring local musicians recorded nearby. It’s called sugarshack sessions. I think you can find it on YouTube. Another unique feature I have not seen elsewhere. The staff was super friendly. The bartender that night, Ben, made a point of asking and remembering our names. The owner was there as well, and engaging in conversation. This place had the feel of a spot you could hang out in over and over. There was a shuffleboard table(in great condition-not all are) and plenty of seating options. They also have a fun«beer it forward» board where you can buy a beer for someone to come collect. You can make it specific as one persons name or general, like«Notre Dame Fan». A fun idea I have never seen anywhere else. If you like craft beer and getting off the beaten path, check out Naples Beach Brewing!
