We’re vacationing and came across a groupon while planning. We were seated quickly. The place was pretty empty(Tuesday night). Waitress brought some chips over. We got the wings as an appetizer and they were good. We got the taco basket, house salad, enchiladas and shrimp tacos. The food was good(nothing special, typical bar/pub fare). Service wasn’t great. Food took longer than expected considering there was only one other table there when we ordered and they had their food. A table that arrived after U.S. Got their food first. Our plates weren’t cleared away. It’s a bit divy

I don’t understand the reviews. The prices at this place are outstanding. There are always great coupons. I think the food is great. This place does not deserve the bad reputation. We ordered fish and chips, fajitas, shrimp tacos, fried pickles, and coconut shrimp. Everything was great and out plates were clean. The drinks were delicious and strong. I will certainly be returning.

I’d definitely skip this place. It has that dive bar feeling when you walk in but it actually is a dive. It’s a perfect bar/restaurant for Bar Rescue.

It OK for food the place really should be redone it’s very outdated… the bartender did not know how to pour a Guinness which was almost comical to watch. She would pour with the tap push away on no tilt of the glass and kept wondering why it was so foamy. I tried to correct her but she said no and then would scoop out the foam with a spoon and continue to pour took 10 mins to fill… what a waste

My wife and I have been going to Pancho’s for more than 15 years and it has always held a special place in our hearts… The wings are top notch and will rival that of Buffalo… Fajitas, tacos, salads, and cocktails are always excellent!!! Fun atmosphere, kid friendly, and somewhere that you must try if you are here visiting from out of state or a local who hasn’t gotten there yet… Service can be a little slow but the wings are well worth the wait…

Skip it. We used to like Panchos. Good fajitas. But something has changed. Service is mainly bad. Walked out after one beer and no waitress for half hour. Host took our drink order. When waitress came she was rude and flippant. Do not spend your money here.

Great food and atmosphere. My wife had a burger and fries. I had the wings but polished off her food. Both were excellent. Good selection of beer. The bartender was awesome, service was quick. We live in South Kingstown & are looking forward to going back.

Since I wrote this review the burritos have returned and the menu has expanded. Still not what it once was but much better. Service seems to have improved slightly for reasons unknown.

As a former waitress, I have to say… My first experience at this establishment will be my last. Before I begin, I want to point out that I ONLY created a Unilocal account because I was so taken back, appalled, disgusted, and unsatisfied with Poncho O’malley’s… that I HAD to share it. My party of 3 was sat promptly. We ordered 3 beers and waited a littler longer than what was acceptable… And that was okay… Kind of. But then we ordered nachos as an app, as well as our 3 entrees. It took more than 20 minutes for our nachos to come out because our waitress was playing with an air conditioner instead of putting our order in. When she finally came to check on our DRINKS, we told her politely we were all set and would like the check instead of our food. We were willing to pay the entire tab without receiving our food. We simply wanted to leave. The owner approached our table and SO rudely said«let’s look at the time your order was put in… Let’s check the time…» with such an attitude I was taken back. He bullied my best friend, her mother and myself as we time and time again asked for our check. Finally, after 20 more minutes of nonsense. We paid and walked out. As we slowly walked to the parking lot, the owner who was originally bullying us… Followed us out. He was smirking and and making unacceptable comments… which was not pleasant or professional. It’s not like we were walking out on the tab, and it’s not like we just paid for our drinks… we paid the entire tab and didn’t receive a thing EXCEPT our drinks. The owner actually told us something along the lines that we’d most definitely be paying —(after we had politely reported our issue and asked to pay and leave.) «Oh, you’re paying alright…» …Excuse me? So much for CUSTOMERSERVICE. I strongly urge you to eat or drink elsewhere. This is a low class, poorly run establishment. The wait staff does not properly tend to their tables and management deals with customer issues in a terrible manner. The customer does not come first here. The owner himself treated myself and my party of 3 like dirt. Do. Not. Go.

So, I took a trip to Pancho O’Malleys again as a request of one of their employees, and because one fellow Unilocaler noted one should go to Pancho O’Malleys for a laugh. It was a laugh alright. I decided to go incognito one day in fear of this OH so amazing Pancho O’mally employee whom keeps sending me «compliments» on Unilocal.Just my luck him seeing me in his pride and joy he’d do something horribly bad to my food.(He told me he wanted to give me free food and let by gones be by gones– ahahhaa. right.) When I say incognito. I freaking went incognito, blonde wig and all, it was great. My own mother wouldn’t have recognized me.(Don’t ask why I have wigs, I just do– 10 of them to be exact.) So, I went, I ordered the same thing as I did before. Wings, and sangria. My wings were dried out, and unlike before they weren’t very edible. The sangria was good at least, but like before I witnessed more filth. This time my glass was dirty, and the fork they gave me had crusted food on it. There were also drain flies flying around the table as I was trying to eat. I can’t imagine what behind the bar looks like, let alone the kitchen.

Very good food. They made me a Spicy Beef Chimichanga with Cheddar Jack — nice, spicy and filling. No room for dessert this time but I’ll be back.

Do not go here. While the service was friendly, the food is really bad. When I first saw this place I was excited. An Irish Pub with Mexican grub. Maybe some traditional Irish Stew with Mexican influence or Tacos made with traditional corned beef and cabbage because that would be amazing. But nope, just crappy Taco Bell tacos and enchiladas that are best served from a chain. The«Mexican Grub» is nonsense because there is none. It is standard American food with the label of Mexican put on it without the Mexican flavors. I spent 28 years in California and sometime in Mexico; so I have had a lot of Hispanic food and Hispanic influenced food. There is no where that could claim the type of food this places says it has that I have seen, but it is just a claim. They had a good idea, but fell on their face when executed. I could have given this place more stars if the food was good, but it is not. If you want Mexican food just go to Providence because you will find the real thing.

I am in Love with the wings. I feel the food is good here. What needs some help is the service. We are usually waiting for a waitress or can’t find one. The food is the better part of this business. I have been here multiple times and the food brings me back.

Great local cod, fresh vegetables and sangria! Ponchos nachos are loaded and Pt. Judith calamari is tender and flavorful. Great service and lively atmosphere. Out of a few items by 7:30 on a Saturday night, but still plenty to choose from. Burritos and steak sandwiches also prime.

The place was dead when we arrived — we were the only diners; not a good sign. They shorted us by a place setting and a menu, which only arrived when it was time to order. I ordered iced tea with sweetener on the side and it arrived with Splenda on the side; the server had added one to my tea already… since I can’t do artificial sweeteners I had to send it back. The wings were soggy. My burger — ordered medium well — had soaked the bottom bun with red juices by the time it got to me. We were there for an hour… the place never did get busy. I wouldn’t go back.

Gone way down hill sadly. Wings are good but ask them for well done otherwise don’t be shocked if they are undercooked. Staff friendly

I’ve have a lot of great times with my friends here! I’ve had a lot of great Nacho plates here as well. Service is always good, I’ve never had a complaint. You don’t need a view of the ocean or a thousand beers on tap to be a great pub.

Irish Pub with Mexican Grub is the motto. This oft forgotten pub is great during the summer when all of the other places are swamped. NFL Sundays is a popular hang during the Patriots games & they have Fintan Stanley in for live music on Sundays. The Fajitas, Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Club and burgers get reccomended and I have been told to get wings next time I am here.

I’ve been here a couple of times for drinks with friends– I didn’t eat so I can review the food. I wish I could review the front bar and the back bar separately because they are pretty much different worlds. The front bar is great! Relaxed atmosphere, plenty of beer on tap, staff is great. The back bar, not so much. The crowd is questionable at best, the music is always pretty awful whether it is a DJ or Karaōke and I find myself wishing I could just hear Seinfeld or whatever other show is playing on the large tv behind the bar with no sound. Last week when the humidity was around 95%, they decided to open all the windows and doors instead of putting on the air conditioning. It was probably about 15 degrees warmer than it was in the front bar– basically unbearable, as if the experience wasn’t already. Overall, if I can avoid going back to this place I will. Unless it is for dinner and drinks in the front bar because at least that is slightly tolerable.
