Best BBQ north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Riverside’s burnt ends would probably be my request for my last meal.

Cool bluesy atmosphere, amazing food and event sauces. A little on the pricy side… Kind of worth it though.

Good place for a quick bite to eat! The interior is chic and very clean. The pulled chicken sandwich could have been a little more seasoned, but overall was pretty good. The sides were also lacking in flavor(ordered the mac & cheese and mashed potatoes). Their bbq sauces are amazing! However, if you’re looking for a REAL bbq place, this really isn’t it. If you’ve been or had a real southern bbq meal, you will know exactly what I mean if you eat here. Still good for a quick bite tho!

Just stopped in for dinner. We tried the ribs brisket and mac n cheese. The meats were delicious the mac n cheese however was very disappointing.

My bf and I were in town recently and thought about going to another place that has bbq but they didn’t specialize in it so we decided to try this place. Well, we may have been better off going to the place that served other things besides bbq because we were both very disappointed in the meats we ordered. Now, don’t get me wrong, the sides were really good but in my opinion, the meat should have SO outshined the sides. So here’s the breakdown, we got the mac ‘n cheese, baked beans and cornbread as our sides and they were all good but they might want to add a little bit of sugar to the cornbread to give it just a little bit more flavor. For the meats, my bf got the sausage(the only meat we both liked) and the burnt ends and I got the brisket, fatty please. I’m from the south so I’ve had some great brisket and even though I ordered fatty brisket, that was the DRIEST brisket I have ever eaten. I don’t know if it had been sitting around for hours or what but there was ABSOLUTELYNO juiciness to the brisket at all. Burnt ends are the fat cap of the brisket cut off and then smoked again but what we got was not authentic burnt ends. There was hardly any smoke ring so I’m not sure if those chunks of meat doused in sauce(most burnt ends in the south are served dry) were ever in a smoker. We paid between $ 35 — $ 40 for our food and it was the biggest waste of our money while we were in town.

I like this place for its bbq. It’s not great but it is solid. Burnt ends yum! Cole slaw good and creamy. Ribs were good, cooked nicely, delicious sauces and the brisket was decent. Will come back to Riverside vs Smokey Bones, not so good.

Had the Brisket and sides Collards and Baked beans. The side were fresh made and delicious. The Beef was 2 fold. The top of the cup it comes in was tough, OK taste. The bottom half was a slightly different color and was tender with a smoked taste that was good to better than good might have been really good.. 3 stars instead of 4 because the cost was 20.68 with no drink or bread/cornbread.

When it comes to great BBQ, this is a place to be! The owner of this store is fun to chat with and is very passionate in what he’s doing so you’ll know the quality of food you get is awesome. It depends on how you perceive quality but as long as it tastes absolutely yummy, that’s already beyond satisfying to me. Noms away!

Great craft beer selection although girl taking our did not know what she was talking about. Stood in line to have our order taken and the girl taking order stopped mid order to argue with the cook regarding the price of a salad that she had rung in on a previous order. Not an apology for ignoring us at all. Food was way over priced for the quality of what we recieved. We ordered the burnt ends which were very good, however for the price pay it is not worth it. I also ordered a small side of sausage for 7.99. What I recieved was not good at all and way overpriced. I could have gone to costco and gotten what they served me for 1.50 There are a lot of great places to eat in downtown Nashua, this is not one of them.

Delicious!!! Awesome pulled«insert protein here» sandwiches. Collard greens are my favorite side… veggies w/a kick. Prices are on high side but you do get what you pay for! Critique: Brisket was a lil on the dry side.

I ordered the burnt ends, ribs, greens, coleslaw, and corn bread. I do have to say that the ribs were fabulous! I love the homemade bbq sauce including the hot one. I have never been here before so it was a great experience. I enjoyed the décor and the owner is a great guy. I would recommend this to newcomers in the greater nashua area. Do try the ribs!

Where do I start? 10 people sitting in restaurant and behind register all I hear is, «we are slammed! Can’t keep up». Waited 20 – 30 min behind 5 pple in line. All in all 45 min to get a to go order in. One of my huge dissapointments was they don’t do combo platters. Later, I’d be thankful for this. On to the food, what rally matters! I ordered ¼ bird combo. They said it wasn’t ready and needed 5 more min? What does that mean? Mind you it was 6pm on Saturday. I said I’d wait. I’ll finish thoughts on the chicken. .mauy horrible! Market Basket does better by 100. Smoked chicken my ass. This was really bad. Please don’t order. We threw away after 2 – 3 bites. Also order burnt end sandwich combo with fried green beans. Fried green beans were solid but sandwich sucked. Burnt ends were a huge disappointment and doused in so much sauce I knew immediately there was a problem. I ordered a side of brisket since they don’t do platters and holy smokes this sucked balls too. Tatsted and chewed like 50% fat content. Take that for what it’s worth. By and large worst BBQ joint I’ve ever been too. 1 star only because I can’t go lower. Do not recommend this place and I forecast out of business this year.

Took my father for his birthday here. We ordered a lot of food to try, including ribs, pulled pork, fried green beans, burnt ends, chicken wings, and French fries. The fried green beans were very good and highly recommend them for anyone visiting(probably uses pork fat so they’re might not be vegetarian if you’re one). The ribs were solid and had a good smoke ring to them. The burnt ends were very disappointing and more chunks of beefs. Wings were good, and the French fries were solid. The beer selection was very good as well. Probably would go back if I’m in the area.

So disappointing! Went to Riverside instead of the bigger BBQ restaurants nearby, hoping to support the little guy and receive a more homemade meal. We ordered the corn & bacon chowder which was very tasty. Next we ordered the wing basket and the burnt end basket. Both were just mediocre. For us to not finish the food in front of us is unheard of! The baked bean side tasted no different than from a can. Although, I did enjoy the coleslaw. I had hoped for a five star not a two.

Big potions! The food was cooked well and they offer a great selection with all the typical BBQ offerings. Nice selection of sauces! Platters are worth getting for groups or couples. Good atmosphere, small, clean and fun downtown location. A couple parking spots in the back otherwise mostly street parking.

The potatoes in the potato salad were undercooked-that actually crunched when you bit into them. They were drowned in a flavorless sauce. The barbecue was okay, but the price to portion ratio does not compare to other barbecue joints. Massages were mostly unmemorable, and the bottles they use for the sauces make it difficult to get any out. It just seems like the people run this place don’t really know what good barbecue is or how to execute it

Our first visit there. Plenty of positives, such as reasonable pricing, good portions, pleasant atmosphere, decent service. Nice beer list and plenty of food options. Unfortunately the food was only fair. Biggest complaint is lack of seasoning. Meats were bland, with nary a trace of smokiness. Chicken was overcooked and dry. Brisket was extremely moist and tender, but devoid of flavor. Pulled pork and sausage were just dull. Again, the absence of a good rub and any hint of smoke was telling. Accompaniments varied from good(baked beans, fries, cornbread and slaw) to okay(collards) to mediocre(Mac n cheese). Sauces were good, not great. Stick to the Pickapeppa. I was hoping that I could avoid having to drive to Manchester for decent BBQ at KC’s Rib Shack. But I guess not.

I decided to stop in at Riverside Barbecue Co for dinner takeout recently. This downtown BBQ restaurant is very cozy inside with a few tables for eating in(bus your own dishes when done) and a takeout counter. I ordered the Pulled Pork Platter($ 11.99) with 2 sides(I chose mac & cheese and potato salad) and corn bread. The place was busy on a Saturday night, every table was occupied, so I took a seat on a stool while I waited for my order. The food took a while to come out, almost 20 minutes after ordering. There were several orders already ahead of my order. The portion of food was just right. The pulled pork was on the dry side, but very tender and lean pieces of pork. The original and sweet caroline BBQ sauces were good on the pork. The potato salad(red potatoes & chipotle mayo) and mac & cheese(rotini in orange cheese) were decent sides. The sweet corn bread was very soft and crumbly. Overall, the food here was good and I would return again.
