The food was great but the service was horrible. We didn’t get any service, at all, after we got our sushi. The server even tried to take away the sushi plate while we were still eating. I highly recommend this restaurant just because of the food.

Horrible service. I went with my aunt for the lunch buffet. My aunt simply and nicely asked when the shrimp tempura were going to come out, and the waiter swore in Chinese at her. The food is mediocre and not even that good and I do not think my time was worth such horrible service as well.

One of the best places for sushi! I highly recommend«the caterpillar» roll. It’s so good! Also, it’s a beautiful atmosphere full of great people. Always looking forward to going there. And I definitely need to try a dessert next time as well. Can’t wait to go back!

I’m not gonna bother giving you some big long explanation. In a nutshell it pretty much sucks. The show is boring, the food all tastes the same. Low quality frozen stuff in the dining room. At the sushi bar it isn’t much better. At the tables in the dinning room they try and push you out of there so fast that you can feel them handing you your jacket.(that’s if they would give you a chance to grab it) Mean and nasty women spilling soup that tastes like dishwater in front of me.

The hibachi was not as good as last time, still good but found the meat was seasoned better last time. The spicy yellowfin maki was awesome! Also green tea was very good.

Came here for oysters sushi and hibachi! Celebrated my husbands birthday with a few of our friends and it was perfect! Hibachi chef had us cracking up. He let all of us take turns trying to spin the egg on a spatula in the air without dropping it. I definitely laughed so hard all throughout dinner that my belly hurt! At the end of our meal, the managers came over and took a complimentary photo of all of us! We got to take it as a keepsake for free! Capital grille offers this on occasion and I think it’s a perfect touch! We’ll be back

Pretty good place for a relaxed, fun evening. The whole Hibachi meal is just excellent. I would certainly recommend it

Not my favorite place to have Hibachi, or sushi. I’ve been here quite a few times for family dinners and lunches, and have left the restaurant unimpressed each time. We came here late on a Friday night and filled up one of the Hibachi table with the last 2 seats on the edge. We both ordered the Shrimp & Steak on the Dinner for Two special($ 40?) and like every other Hibachi place, it came with clear soup and salad with ginger dressing. We also ordered a Alaskan Roll. Our sushi roll came out shortly after the soup & salad, which by the way were really just average. The soup tasted a bit bland and the ginger dressing was not as creamy as I would’ve liked it. The sushi roll was also on the smaller side, it came with 8 pieces, small pieces. The service was friendly so kudos to that. Finally the Chef comes out and I was actually hopeful for a good show. Nope. My fish amuses me more. The fried rice was overcooked and became dry after a short while. Our shrimp was overcooked and dry. I asked for my steak to be medium, and it ended up being medium-well and again was dry. So yea, definitely have been to better, much better Hibachi places. I will probably end up here again, but certainly not out of my own choice.

I actually started to like this restaurant. From the outside the restaurant looks a little run down but the inside is very nice. I ordered a sashimi-nigiri combo for dinner and it came with miso soup and a standard salad with dressing. The seafood was a tad expensive, but when matched up to the texture and quality of the food I say that it was worth it. The waitress that my friend and I had wasn’t actually Japanese but Chinese. She was very hospitable and conversed very casually with us which I enjoyed. I came back within a week to eat there again.

Great food, service was fast, quality very good. We had to push a little for seating but expected given the crowd… a good sign!

Went with a group of 8 so we had our own table. Our chef had a great sense of humor and was tolerant of the groups’ wise cracks! He didn’t do a lot of fancy cutting or other maneuvers, but he was fun just the same. I’ve been to other places where the chef does a lot of knife tossing and food flipping to impress the crowd. That’s the part of the experience I thought could have been better. The food was very good and cooked precisely to order. They also have options for vegetarians. Definitely will go back.

Went back to this place after many years. Overall it was ‘ok’. Employees are very welcoming and friendly. Great service. The Teppan Express Lunch(meat/fish/seafood cooked in front of you, and all-you-can-eat buffet included) for $ 11-$ 15 is a good deal… well… if only they would replenish the buffet… all the trays were empty… or mostly empty… only 1 or 2 kinds of sushis… not very impressive. But it was good… salty. And the chef /performer was very friendly and upbeat. They should fix up and clean up the exterior… Doesn’t look good, at all. Would I recommend this place(again)? Nope. Better options than that. Would I go back? In a few years, maybe. I doubt it.

Went last night for a going away party. They accommodated over 50 people, with no problem! Place was clean. Food was good, and cooks very entertaining! My boyfriend and I got a meal for 2, we choose shrimp, scallops, and steak. I even brought left overs home, I think the Shrimp was the best. It also came with rice, veggies, and dessert. Drinks were delicious, and women behind the bar was funny and efficient! I give it 5 stars! Will go again.

Had lunch here today. Ate at the sushi bar where the menu is very limited. This is a mainstream middle America sushi bar with nothing too exciting on the menu that’s very different from that which you see at other places. the service isn’t particularly quick and the place is very clean . I had salmon roll caterpillar roll and one other that I forgot the name of. Just as well as a rest of the place isn’t particularly memorable either.

I have been to Takumi numerous times for sushi(which is excellent) but just recently had their lunch buffet for the first time. It comes with your choice of a hibachi entrée(chicken is only $ 10.50) and an all you can eat buffet. The buffet had crab rangoon that were perfectly done, lo mein, fried rice, sesame balls, maki sushi with orange spicy sauce, dumplings, har gau shrimp, a chicken/tomato dish, a beef dish, tempura shrimp, and more. All food was soo fresh and constantly being replaced. If going for the buffet and not with kids, I would suggest sitting in the dining room(they ask which you would prefer), otherwise everyone’s food will constantly be being cooked infront of you.

Great hibachi place. Best one in Nashua, not that we have many options. Great ambience, the food is always great, prices are reasonable, sushi is delicious. Wonderful birthday parties with desert and a complimentary picture. The staff is wonderful. Great kids prices on Sundays. Nice big lounge bar to wait for your group.

I’ve been twice the first time was perfection! The cool was sharp and clean! The second time(next day) the cool burnt out rice and overcooked most of the dishes actually – even so food was still good. I would just say to make sure you tell the cook not to overcook if you notice that they are leaving things on too long. Also if you’re going to get the steak get filet mingon! Save room for dessert!

I’m not sure why we don’t go more often because the food is great. We had to run errands in Nashua today so we made our way to Takumi after our morning sweat session at the gym. Talk about caloric cancellation. On the weekends, the restaurant opens at noon. We arrived a few minutes shy of 12 and waited in the lobby where there is a koi pond. Although the restaurant has been there for many years, the interior is up to date, clean and modern. There are a few different rooms, one for the hibachi tables, one by the sushi bar and another for private events. The staff was setting up the restaurant and putting out food for the«Teppan Express Lunch.» Guests can choose an item to be cooked on the hibachi grill in addition to eating from their buffet«Express Stations.» We were sat at the hibachi stations and the waiter came to take our drink orders and asked if we were doing the«Express Lunch.» We ordered our grilled entrée choices, I got the chicken for $ 10.95 and the Mo got the beef option for $ 12.50. Miso soup or a small side salad is included with the meal so I got the soup and he got the salad. The«Express Station» was nearby in the same room as the hibachi grill and we made our way there after our soup and salad was served. The Express Station included a variety of Japanese and Asian appetizers that included shumai, pork giozas, shrimp tempura, maki roll, crab rangoon and vegetable spring roll. For entrees and sides, they had vegetable rice and lo mein, beef stew, chicken and tomato stew, and stir fried string beans. There was also a sauce and condiment station that had duck sauce, tempura sauce, gioza sauce, wasabi and pickled radish. As we headed back to our seats, the hibachi chef arrived at our grill station and started preparing our meal. Since it was lunch, he wasn’t as interactive and«comical» as expected. He quickly cooked all our meats for our station along with many other orders for the restaurant. He was really friendly and gave us morsels of other meats and calamari to try. For a little sweet ending to our meal, there were sesame and red bean balls. The Teppan Express Lunch is a great deal. You can totally walk out of there stuffed for as low as $ 10.95. to read more and see food pictures, visit
