Been there four or five times in the past year. They give good to great haircuts depending on which barber cuts your hair. Parking is a problem, and could add additional costs, up to $ 1 or $ 2 depending on your wait time or who cuts your hair — some are very fast — some take a lot more time & attention to detail. Most of the barbers that I saw there are 40 yrs old or younger and cater to the younger generation and are very loud, make crude jokes(even whistling at passing women when the door was open!) The barbers seem more intent on having a good time discussing their recent dating exploitations or bar visits with themselves or some of their customer friends and passing their smart phones to each other to show off their exploits. I’m sure they are all fine and dedicated people, and I know most(or all) are former military people, and don’t realize that they do not project a professional impression to an «outsider». I’m sure Wilfred’s will survive without my business but I will look for a more quiet and professional atmosphere.

This review is a couple months overdue, but after my cut there today, it just solidifies my 5 star rating. I had heard rave reviews from coworkers and read stellar ratings online about Wilfred’s before deciding to come here. They only book appointments on Thursdays and Fridays, and I’ve read that walk-in wait times could be pretty long. Still I decided to book an appointment on the Booksy app for a Thursday morning. The waiting is a little ambiguous, as walk-in customers sit in the waiting area and wait for a chair to open up and when one does, the barber asks who’s next(leaving customers to fight to the death for the open spot — just kidding, but I feel there should be some kind of check-in system that gives customers a definite position in the queue). When it comes to making an appointment on Booksy, it tells you who will be cutting you when you book it… Stick with that person, and wait for your name to be called(and don’t go to a chair which a barber asks«who’s next?»). I made that faux pas once and felt like a douche. So the process was explained for me: on Thursdays and Fridays, 2 – 3 chairs are reserved for appointments only while the 3 – 4 other chairs are manned to service the walk-ins. Anyway, I digress. The shop is easy to find and there’s a city parking garage right out back. My first cut was with Tom, he’s friendly, knowledgable and accommodating — not to mention he does a hell of a job. My most recent cut was with Nick or Deuce. While it was my first cut with him, he offered me the same welcoming attitude and attention to detail I’ve come to expect from every barber at Wilfred’s. The shop has an old-timey feel with an eclectic vibe, and I will certainly be going there for as long as I live in the area!

I love Wilfred’s, I have been coming here for awhile. I always go to Nick. My roommates all get their hair cuts here as well. There are a variety of different barbers and personalities so it’s fun when you get your hair cut from someone different. Molly, is the residential puppy there. She is super friendly and is always greeting people coming in. The environment is amazing and relaxed! I always leave feeling better and with a fresh new cut

Great men work here. My son is a bit quirky, but they couldn’t hae been kinder to him. His specific barber was very attentive to what he wanted and took time to explain each detail. They had a long waiting room, but don’t let that rush them. This is a gem of a business downtown. We will be back for sure.

Despite the fact that the say«walk ins only» and«no appointments», apparently they now take appointments — walking in with my son to find 2 barbers working and no other customers waiting, we were turned away saying that«they were completely booked up.» Weren’t even offered the option of waiting. Guess business must be VERY good. Shout out to the sketchily-named«VIP Barber and Lounge» on Main Street who did a commendable job on two haircuts and a shave. 5 minute wait, great customer service, solid haircut and. .. didn’t turn away our business.

I am a contractor from Michigan currently living in Burlington MA. I have a very specific Euro-looking haircut that’s relatively simple, but seems to have confused barbers anywhere I’ve been in Burlington. Someone told me about Wilfred’s in Nashua and how skilled these guys are. So being a 45 min drive through traffic, and passing probably hundreds of Barbers along the way, I walked into a Wilfred’s hoping to get what I came for. Many reviewers will complain about the wait times and the fact that they don’t take appointments. But I think this way they can see more people and, trust me, their popularity is NOT fading. In a way, I think they have become victims of their own success, and that’s a great thing. You know a place is successful when you arrive well BEFORE opening time all the way from Burlington, only to find 7 people waiting before me. But hell, for these haircuts, I’ll take a flight from Michigan if I can. However, having said that, given the fact that they have at least 4 – 5 guys cutting(sometimes up to 7) at the same time, wait times are not too bad. The atmosphere, the clientele, the barbers are all worth it. Going to Wilfred’s is more like an experience, a guy’s guys place, which is missing from many barber shops. Their skills are better than any I’ve seen anywhere, and given the specificity of my haircut, I’ve tried many different barbers and none of them can get it right like Wilfred’s. You just have to be a bit crafty in timing your day. On several occasions I went there in a suit and a hair straightener(for which I’ll hear it from them every time) just so I can make the 45 min trek back to work on time. For me, that’s worth it. Without doubt or hesitation, this is unequivocally the best haircut in the original 13 colonies. Children will be reading about Wilfred’s in school, and legends about Wilfred’s will be told around campfires. Keep up the good work guys.

The wait… well it’s long sometimes; however, the barbers here know quality and deliver it to the customer. — Well worth the wait!

By far the best Barber Shop around!!! If you’re a Gentleman or a Scholar Or perhaps someone that just wants to look a lil more dapper; then my good people you should step into Wilfred’s Barber shop and feel at home. And now they have added couple more talented barbers to make sure the people of nashua don’t have to wait too long to look amazing with a fresh cut! I highly recommend this place for Men, Women, and children of all ages!

Stopped in here on Saturday morning for the first time after having enough headaches at my prior barber shop nearby. The shop is a really cool place. A solid, old school barber shop for sure. I think there were seven people cutting hair. They don’t try to churn out as many haircuts as they can like some of the other haircut mills around. They take their time, and pay attention to details. My barber, Cam, was great and gave me a great cut right off the bat. All the haircuts walking out of that place were spot-on. The place is very clean and the guys are great. I didn’t give it five stars for three reasons. First, parking is a bit difficult. Second, I waited for about an hour for a cut, but it was a Saturday morning. Third, a $ 21 cut isn’t insane, but it’s on the upper end of prices in the area. That said, I did leave a $ 9 tip, so it cost me $ 30 at the end of the day, plus parking. For that reason, I can’t see myself going here every week like I can at some of the other spots in town. I’ll probably check out some other places just to see what’s around, but I definitely see myself going back to Wilfred’s.

There are so many barbershops in Nashua but none can come close to Wilfred’s. Cleanest haircut I’ve ever had. Oldschool

Very talented crew who make you feel at home. I’ve been coming to wilfreds since 2012 and have never once been disappointed. Meticulous cuts and attention to detail by the staff will leave you feeling like a million bucks the first time you walk by your own reflection.

Best haircut and barbers in Nashua. It’s for this reason that the wait is typically very long. One plus, they just relocated to their new spot across the street from the old location and brought on a couple more solid barbers to move the line along quicker without lessening quality. Another plus is that the guys are all cool as hell and funny to listen to. Definitely entertaining. The boys at Gate City have nothing on the gents at Wilfred’s.
