Seafood Sensation

This place is walk-​up but not fast food. Cooked to order and you can tell there’s love in it because it was unbelievably tasty. We shared the alaskan crab platter with shrimp and andouille and everything was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. My husband just sat there with his eyes closed after we ate and said, «I’m remembering the crab…» :)
Can’t believe it took us so long to hear about this place, but we will be back!

I ordered the wrong thing but it wasn’t for want of trying. At 1 pm on a Tuesday, I was told they were out of crab meat for crab cakes, crawfish for the crawfish and andouille dish and crab legs for crab legs. What? Why are you open? I’d brought a potential event partner here to wow her with a ‘seafood sensation’ and I was getting more of a ‘seafood side-​eye.’ And the side-​eyes kept coming. The ‘gentleman’ working the window was rude, dismissive, barked responses back to my guest and me, and had a pretty nasty attitude. When I saw him leave to go around the corner, I was relieved thinking that he had fled the premises. No. Just went outside for a smoke break. He came back with the same stank attitude he had when we walked in.
Since there was nary a seafood dish I wanted (remember, I was 0 for 3 for my requests), I ordered fried shrimp and kept it moving. I hadn’t driven all the way to Hadley for fried shrimp but at this point it was what it was. It took a while for our food to arrive but I didn’t take too much umbrage at it. That meant it was being prepared just for us. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was that I didn’t receive any cocktail sauce. I went back to my friend at the counter to ask for some. He gave me a side-​eye (more plentiful than the seafood!) and said he’d give me some. I went back to my table and implored my guest to start eating. I tried waiting for the sauce to start with my meal but by this time, the clock had been ticking for a while, I was hungry and my meeting was running long. The shrimp (6 of them) were large and nicely seasoned (both breading and sea roaches). But, at the end of the day, they’re fried shrimp. My fries were bland and burnt and my slaw was mealy. I’d gotten through 3 of my shrimp without sauce so I went back to the counter. This time the owner/​cook handled the situation. He seemed embarrassed that our experience had been so lackluster. It’s for this reason that my star rating is as high as it is. Without it, this would have been a one-​star review. Easily. If you can come here and get your choice of food, it certainly seems as though the experience is one to remember. I, too, had an experience I won’t soon forget — and that’s why I doubt I’d ever return. Caveat emptor.

The Food Is a Great ! Everything that comes With CrabLeg Dinner ! Very Satisfied With The Customer Service ! The owner was very Nice & Made Sure Our Needs Were Met !

The location of the restaurant is questionable and the restaurant is not somewhere I would prefer to sit down and eat. However, it’s s good place for pick-​up or to go.
My boyfriend ordered the crab meat platter. He liked it but wished it came with sauce to top it off. I got the lobster tail platter and loved it! It came with potatoes, corn, and broccoli with a garlic butter sauce! Mmm!

First, the food presentation was awful! The broccoli was over cooked! Who over cooks broccoli!!! It just looked and tasted like the whole food was poured into a sea of boiling water and all mashed up together. Pls don’t go here! My experience was a total disaster

Well… simply put… this place is great, no frills delicious value.
next time, skip Red Lobster and give this joint a shot!

The fried catfish platter looked delicious but being a catfish lover I immediately detected that this wasn’t catfish and was actually swai fish. It was still pretty good but don’t try and pull one over in me. My wife had the Alaskan king crabs and she said it was delicious.

There are a few places you ever eat and want to keep going back for more. Or even more, when you’re sitting and thinking about food, this is one of those places you think of. I can’t explain how rich and tasty the food is. It is worth every single penny. For all that comes with a platter, I am quite satisfied for a good while. Finger licking good food! & They also give 10% student discounts so that’s a plus.

Found this place on Unilocal for lunch. Not a fancy big place but the food was absolutely delicious. I had the salmon platter which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The menu had a large variety of seafood. The owner waited on us and checked to see how we were enjoying the meal.

I just walked out-​pissed. The first time me and my mom came here the food was awesome. Today I came expecting the same… I waited behind what I THOUGHT was a customer for about 10 minutes… To later find out her and the cashier were friends and just there to catch up on good times. (at one moment the cashier pulled out her phone and shared a snap chat) I’m not extra picky about customer service but come on… I stood there like a jack ass. I said something to one of the employees as I left. I wont be back, though I doubt they care.

This place was awesome! I’m from Louisiana so I am always on the lookout for good seafood. I got the Crab and the steamed shrimp platter and they came with potatoes, corn and broccoli. It was perfectly made with lots of garlic and butter. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back. The folks at the counter were real friendly with the same type of feel as Prince’s Hot Chicken.
The only reason I gave them four stars is because my the andouille sausage that I ordered was forgotten about.

A little place that I would never think of going in, this was my cousins idea and I’m glad we went. And it looks like the neighborhood loves their food as well. It just so happens to be right down the street from my daughters school (Tennessee State). I ordered chicken wings and Andoule sausage, my cousin ordered crab and Andoule sausage, and my daughter ordered French fries and veggies. All of the food was really tasty and seasoned really well… I know this because I had my hands in everyone’s plate ;) nice staff and really clean.

I love me the seafood sensation, brightly colored you are in your own Finding Nemo scene. We sit next to the Lobster. The catfish sandwich is better than even the east side boys used to produce. Dry on the outside and Moist on the inside, just fold that bread around the fishy and savor. Super friendly peeps and cheap.

The best seafood I ever had. Well priced. I got the Alaskan platter and mango tea.

My wife and I found this place via Unilocal so we decided to give it a try for a quick lunch on our way home from Nashville.
The dining room is just plastic tables and box fans for AC and it was HOTT. They have on 3 – 4 drinks to choose from and no ice which is totally weirded I thought.
The food was superb. Very healthy portions and awesome flavors. The shrimp peeled well. The lobster platter had a very nice size tail with potatoes and corn and broccoli. If this place were to get air conditioning and drinks it would be. 5 start ALLDAY

I always forget to rate this place as I have been to both locations, Jefferson street and the Mall in Antioch which sadly closed :-(that was such a convenience for me but understandably the business needs to grow and foot traffic just wasn’t consistent.
Where do I begin about this business??? So many great qualities! Let’s just go down the list to name a few. 1.) GREAT PRICE — for the amount of food and the cost to you is unheard of especially for seafood.
2.) GREAT FOOD/​TASTE — No one ever said OMg there is crazy amount of butter on their seafood (ever) this place has flavor profiles that are so amazing it’s unbelievable. The heat level, the spice, not to mention the portions!
3.) AMAZING OWNER — this gentleman is so passionate about his food about his business that you can literally taste it. I won’t lie, I am deathly allergic to shrimp!!! But they have this amazing chicken platter that is to die for. My husband and mother love the crab and shrimp combos. Every time we have come to either location and he is in town he always greets us openly and is so thankful for business! That in itself shows you just how he runs his business! FAMILY is at the core!!!
It seems like a lot is been said but one thing still left (YOU READING THIS) needs to get here and fast to try this AWESOME FOOD!!! you will not regret it and you to will be HOOKED ON SEAFOOD SENSATION!

I had a taste for fried fish and found this place on Unilocal.Thank you to the previous reviewers. I feel like I have been cheated for the three years it’s been open because I didn’t know! I salivated over other diners’ plates while waiting for mine. My perch was fantastic, and the slaw vinegary. Add that andouille sausage and you’re golden. The boiled potatoes are seasoned well, as others have said.
It’s not a restaurant per se, though you can eat in. It is clean and adequately decorated. Everyone gets to-​go packaging. The day we went they were giving out sherbet. Big hit with the kids. I look forward to going back.

I just moved here and have been looking for a great seafood place. This place is really good. I ordered the Dungeness Crab and added shrimp and Andouille sausage. It came with potatoes, corn and shrimp. Loved all of it. The seafood was cooked just right and everything had great flavor. Friendly staff. Will make it a regular stop.

Great place for takeout and really good food. Fresh & made by order. I however give it 4 star was because of the man taking the order. Low to no customer service. He lightly threw a fit with me with an order that he did not get right (mumbling that his product was wasted). I was in a better mood till he huffed & puffed as if it was my problem. I left it alone not escalating the issue & processed to pay. The location is not as desirable as you would like but doable for takeout.

This place is great! Look at the low-​star review’s for Seafood Sensation and tell me the author’s don’t appear to be unintelligent. I’ve been eating all sorts of spectacular food in Nashville lately, but this place made me want to take the time to write about my experience.
My lady and I ordered a shrimp and an Alaskan king crab platter and were super satisfied with the buttery goodness this place puts out! Fatty shrimp and beautiful crab with corn, broccoli and potatoes, all perfectly cooked. The seasoning is something from a fairy tale. The owner, Darren, even hooked us up with a coke on the house!
