Got snow delayed traveling home and ended up wandering into this place because it seemed lively despite the city being pretty much closed. Beer was cold, music was fantastic and service had a smile. What more can you ask for?

This is a nicely laid out bar, plenty of room inside, nice and clean, wee decorated. The service was good and the bands are great. This one was a bit less crowded than some of the others on the street.

Pros: pretty decent cover band played some classic country tunes. Lots of old timey country music décor. Much fun for a tourist like me. Cons: too many buffalo bills fans. Also, whiskey on the rocks was a ridiculous $ 9

Fantastic live music and fairly uncrowded for a Friday Night. Had so much fun there! Only thing is that the drinks were pretty expensive, but definitely worth it for the music!

Nice place to grab a drink & listen to live music. There are many bars on Broadway in Nashville, Second Fiddle is one of them. It was not as populated as other bars, say like Honky Tonk and Tootsies but it was fun. Will go there again if I visit Nashville. Pros: Music: Nice live bands. Good music. Crowd: People seemed to be having fun. Not overpopulated like other bars in the area. Staff: Bartenders and servers were friendly and fast. Don’t need to wait long to get your drink(s)!!! Ambiance: Real cool. Liked the pictures of classic country singers on the wall. Cons: will tell you when I think of one: P

I was visiting for CMA fest 2015. This place had great music, beer, and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. We had a lot of fun at The Second Fiddle and look forward to going back when we come back to Nashville.

Great bands here! The music is loud, but not TOO loud. The ambiance is cool and is very Nashville. The crowd was friendly and the bartenders were fast and helpful. Good times!

We loved the folky live music here. There were locals that were doing some awesome dancing. Favorite bar of the evening.

This place is a lot of fun. You can find more authentic places(Robert’s, Ryman, etc.), but this place just feels like a good time. The bands that at Second Fiddle were very good with involving the crowd and making it fun.

Nashville at it’s best. Good bands. I just wish they didn’t move out the tables and chairs. Very limited seating so it’s difficult to stay here very long.

This is our first trip to Nashville. The music playing was great, the bartenders were awesome. They were on it! Keeley and Chad were awesome!!! They made the evening. Thanks again.

While walking up and down Broadway, I knew I had to chose a country western bar and listen to honky tonk before I left town. I really don’t like country music and knew that these bars wouldn’t change my mind. It didn’t. But country music is Americana and I had to experience it live, love it or not. The bar was long and the live band played at the front with their backs to the window so patrons walking by could see and hear them. Because they were playing some Sweet Home Alabama when I walked by, I thought it would ok to come in here. Bartenders were not very sociable and the crowd really didn’t seem to get into the music. Maybe they don’t like country either? Nonetheless, I’m glad I walked in and stuck around.

The band was good and the beer was cold, but seriously… How does a bar named second fiddle hire a band without a fiddle???

The bartenders may be fast, but they also like to pull a fast one on you. I paid for two mixed drinks($ 7.25 each, not terrible considering the place) with a $ 20, and the Britney Spears wannabe took my cash and pocketed the change. I stood there a minute, expecting her to get in the change drawer as quickly as she greeted me and made my drinks, but no. She disappeared, evidently under the impression she deserved a $ 5.50 tip. She tried to do the same thing to another girl in our party with a $ 7 order. No, you don’t get a $ 13 tip, sugar. Maybe this is standard operating procedure nowadays, but it’s not cool and would keep me from tipping at all on subsequent drinks. The live music was decent and the crowd wasn’t obnoxious. Go in there with ones and quarters and you should be all set.

The bartenders were fast and the music was good, but that jackass of a security guard out front ruined our night. Me and my friend step out for a smoke and start to come back in. The security was supposed to stamp our hands as we came in, but didn’t stamp my friends hand hard enough or something. He told my friend that he wouldn’t let hit back in. I tell dude«he came in with me the first time.» He turns around and tells me if I don’t calm down, he will kick me out. What a jerk. The bartender said his name is Steve. I won’t be back.

Such a great experience to visit this bar. The band(on the night of 8÷7÷13) played classic country songs, and the singer was talented, yet funny enough to entertain the crowd. He came off the stage and walked around, partly to collect tips but also interact with the people in the bar. The bartenders were friendly, and prompt in serving drinks and snacks that we ordered. With numerous Honky Tonk bars on Broadway in Nashville, The Second Fiddle will surely be my first recommendation to anyone that is in town and wants to listen to authentic country music. There is a little dance floor for those of you that are looking to swing the hips. The interior is cool, with antique radio receivers and instruments decorating the walls.

This space was a little bit tighter but we really liked the band. I was on crutches and the bartender came over regularly to give me appropriate sympathy and to check on me. The bar has been around for a while, and they offered standard bar offerings. I liked that the bands were a little bit more bluesy vs twangy, but probably depends on who is there on a given day. No TV.
