Interesting… Everything says it’s open on Monday. Except we showed up at 9am and it was closed. No sign on the door. Was super excited to give this place a try but went to Crena instead

If you’re looking for an awesome place by day and a secretly awesome place by night then you better try this place out. By day is an awesome coffee shop with all kinds of original concoctions. By night the place transforms into a hip restaurant and cocktail bar. The food is fresh and phenomenal. Try the mussels because they are an amazing comfort food. The drinks are so creative. I seriously had no idea you could do so many awesome things with coffee. If you are looking for a shot of adrenaline to the heart I suggest the«Perth, TN». Lastly, the customer service has been consistently great. P.S. For the meat eater inside of you, they make their own beef jerky. It is very random as can be, but great.

After trying their coffee in the gulch area i was pretty excited about this event as what they had to offer in terms of coffee/bar/food. The location is perfect for the tourist crowd around downtown and also for the locals as the speed with which downtown and surrounding east Nashville area is growing. Walking in the inside feels fresh, nicely setup and gives it a good hip vibe. Everyone seemed welcoming and pretty excited for the event taking place. We started off with a short history about the business and how they ended up at the location right here. Yes parking is a pain but then again this is downtown and is as expected. Talking to Denny the GM while eating you could tell how passionate he was about the place and how is co-workers were all into the way things were presented and how the customer service was to be handled. Chef Megan did a hell of a job to give us a good overview of what is cooked in the kitchen they have and how much effort is put into it. We had a small taste of everything for us to decide and base our reviews on what this place could be. In the end a great job and will be back here for the Sunday brunch to try the remaining menu and flavorful food. Our menu was below Peoples Cobbler which is Tequila, lime and some fresh berries. The color of the drink looked really berrylike and seemed like a hit with everyone as the flavors were perfectly balanced. Celeriac Salad — this one was a perfect starter and nicely balanced with all flavors nothing was over done and matched the cobbler perfect. Revised Brooklyn — Rye drink which just looked awesome when presented nice. \ Beet Tartare — oh this was my favorite as it matched the drink provided nicely with the 2 flavors blending in Mussels — these were the biggest hit in the crowd due to the coconut curry sauce and the nice spicy kick it had. Trout — this was cooked to perfection and the sauce with it felt like mashed potatoes but was something totally explosive on the tongue and made eating the trout more enjoyable. Ice cream — White choclate lavendar — made in house and you could tell how fresh and balanced it was, not over sweet or over done but just perfect.

This is one of my favorite events thus far. I have to admit that Johnny can find great places to have Unilocal events! Whatever they are paying you Johnny, it’s not enough. The event started right on time as advertised. From the start until the finish, it was a delightful evening. Since I don’t drink, the ladies at my table would get an extra drink with every round served. Don’t take that wrong, there were 5 lovely and sweet young ladies seated at the table where I was assigned.(I made a bet with them that they couldn’t add two of their ages together and equal my age. They couldn’t…darn it). They were all fun and interesting. A great way to spend an evening, great company and great food. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have loved to have my wife sitting with me. However, she was assigned to another table and seemed to have fun as well. Anyway, on to the food and drinks. Each of the cocktails that were served seemed to be tasty by the comments of the girls at the table. I didn’t notice any of them going to waste. I will say the cocktails appearance gave me, a non-drinker, the desire to taste them as they looked like they would taste good. However, I left the alcohol tasting to the ladies. Every presentation of food that we were served had that same desirable appearance. Every dish made me want to taste it and once I did taste it, I was sold. We were not served one bad dish. We started with a dish called Celeriac which had apple, celery, pecans, cheddar, olive oil and lemon juice. That may sound easy to make but I can assure you that I could not have put those items together and come out with that flavor. I was sold on the Steadfast Commons at that point. The second entrée sample was a surprise to me. I thought, beets… yuck. I don’t hate beets but I wouldn’t normally walk across the street to eat any. However, these were totally different. They had a flavor that delighted the senses. The description provided stated they contained red beets, pickled shallot, pickled mustard seed, and apple chips. I am still shocked to think how good this tasted. When I go there, I will want both of these. The mussels had a sauce that was a combination of red curry, coconut, shallot, red chili, and cashews served with a tasty toast. I must be sounding like a broken record but this was one fantastic evening of dinning. I felt like climbing the bat building and shouting to everyone about the new found pleasureable explosions to my palate. Yum Yum!!! Of course the best was saved for last when it came to the entrée samples. They brought out a couple of pieces of North Carolina Trout presented with Hakurei Turnips, Scallion Oil, and Togarashi. To be honest, I didn’t know what these things were until I tasted them and read the menu to figure it out. However, it was a fabulous combination to excite the palate once more. My appetite had been pleasantly satisfied. I could not let the evening go without trying one of they speciality coffees. I tried the Bruleed Rested Latte and once again was totally satisfied with the offering. They finished the night with a White Chocolate, Lavender Ice Cream. They know how to end the show!

Can a place really do quality coffee, craft cocktails, and delicious food? If that place is Steadfast Commons, then the answer is YES! I had my doubts about how such a small spot could truly offer superb drinks, coffee, and food. But, they pulled it off flawlessly! The drink menu looked awesome and seemed to offer a variety of drinks for differing tastes. I had the People’s cobbler, which was a fruity tequila cocktail, and I could have had many more if I’m being honest! It was great! My husband, who is more of a whiskey drinker and not a fan of sweet, really enjoyed the Brooklyn. Our drinks were totally opposite, but fit us perfectly. Because I went for a Unilocal elite event, which had a set menu, I was honestly a little nervous about the food. I am not a seafood eater, and I noticed mussels and fish on the menu! We began with the celery & apple salad and the beet tartare, both of which were delicious! I did pass on the mussels because I know myself, but everyone else raved about them so much, it made me want to give mussels a second try. Based on how much I liked the starters, I decided to be brave and try the trout. And to my surprise, it was delicious! This is coming from someone who can count on one hand how many times I have actually liked a fish entrée! I intended to just have a bit or two and push my fork around, but instead I ate all of it!!! With the delicious lavender ice cream, I decided it was about time to try some of this coffee I had heard so much about! I ordered a Crème Brulee something?(This is really why I should write my review the day of.) Anyways, regardless of the actual name, just know it was AMAZING! The staff was very helpful in offering suggestions and opinions as well. They went to great lengths to answer our questions. Our waiter even went off the set menu when he learned that one of the girls at our table had lived in Australia and wanted to try a specific dessert that was on the regular menu. Thanks for going above & beyond when it came to service! I am so excited to learn of a new place to go downtown! And I love that it is near Bakersfield & the Southern because you can actually hop to a couple spots on that corner if you want. We may actually go back this weekend before a concert. However, I will be taking an über this time. My only complaint was parking! Parking on this particular corner is a mess, and it does not seem that Steadfast actually has a valet yet. I had to actually pay another restaurant to park my car after driving around the block a few times looking for spots.

New place. Nice clean, modern décor. Light lunch and breakfast items. I had the jerked chosen sandwich, which was pretty good. Friendly staff. Kind of an odd concept(coffee and cocktails?) but this place has some promise.

Enjoyed dinner and cocktails this week at Steadfast Commons. The service was great, as were the unique drinks and food. The mussels were very good, duck was to die for. Just wish we’d saved room for dessert. We’ll definitely go back!

A new ultra cool restaurant-cocktail place downtown Nashville. Visited Saturday night. Cocktails are unique and really great. Food phenomenal. First course, jerky and the pumpkin humus are must haves. Main course, the duck is killer. Very impressive knowledgeable and friendly staff. Steadfast Commons is a «must see» in Nashville.

Get the sweet porridge with a poached egg on top(daytime). Just do it! Seriously the yummiest breakfast/brunch, I want it all the time. Also, the cocktail/dinner service is awesome, it’s crazy how it transforms from café by day to awesome cocktail bar at night. I shared the pumpkin hummus with my table and got the chicken. It’s smoked in tea, y’all. Like, I don’t even know what that means but i don’t care because it was amazing and I think about that chicken often. The Ramos Brother fizz(gin fizz cocktail) was beautiful and so dang tasty, although their cocktail list is really detailed and interesting, so I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them! Everyone was so friendly and excited and I can’t wait to go back!

I was really excited about this place. Having a condo in the building, I was happy there would be another option downtown. The place was HORRIBLE and the servers were rude. I walked in and was greeted by the manager. She said nothing to me about the infant I was carrying. I sat down and the waiter told me we weren’t allowed in there because the age was 21. Why didn’t the manager say something when we walked in? He went and checked and she basically kicked us out. It is a coffee and cocktails place. I understand not wanting to have a bunch of children after a certain time, but it’s downtown Nashville. The few children that would even be downtown probably live there and are used to dining out. If there is a problem with disturbance, then ask the person to leave. As a mom, I bring my child everywhere. To every bar. If she has ever acted up then we leave. I don’t want someone to not enjoy their experience because my child is crying. I just don’t understand banning children and then being so rude about it.

We stopped by Steadfast last night for their evening program. What a great place! The atmosphere is fantastic, the service was great, and I wanted to try every single one of their drinks. I settled on the Right Away at the recommendation of one of the staff. Great cocktail. Get there in a hurry, this undiscovered cocktail menu will soon be one of the top destinations in Nashville. A great addition to the neighborhood. Definitely recommend.

Been a few times and it’s been worth it every time. Of course parking anywhere downtown is a pain so be prepared, once dinner service opens I’ll probably opt to über in when I go. The coffee program is solid, you can tell they put thought into how the beans are roasted and who prepares them. The baristas are well trained and not pretentious at all, friendly. Try the Atlas, trust me. Food has been great, my favorite so far is the egg sandwich and I add bacon. I’m looking forward to try the dinner options and the cocktails!

We just had lunch at the new steadfast commons on Demonbreun and it was very delicious! And very reasonably priced! I have a lot of dietary restrictions and the kitchen was very accommodating. The salami sandwich on focaccia with arugula salad($ 12) with the pickled veggies was very tasty. We also had a bowl of the squash soup($ 5) that was thick and flavorful, a little spicy, with pecans on top. Best butternut squash soup I’ve had, and I order it often! There were 5 of us eating and everyone was very pleased with their order. Worth mention is also the celery root salad which I just tasted and wished I had ordered it. My hubby enjoyed the jerk chicken sandwich. Note it was chunks of chicken with pickled mango and hot sauce not a whole piece of chicken. All the sauces and marinated items are made in house. Very tasty. Since I’m not a big coffee drinker I can say that I had the latte with almond milk and it was pretty good but I don’t have a big appreciation for coffees so I don’t know if it was great or just good. Parking downtown is always a pain but if you’re downtown I would definately recommend it over the greasy bar food choices!

Super over priced, slow service. Mediocre food at best. Mostly annoyed to wait 20 mins for my 10 dollar coffee, when the restaurant was almost empty.
