It’s a great spot to get your sugar fix on! We were there for a baby shower party. They totally took care of us for next to nothing!

We stopped in on a Saturday around 12:30 as a group of three adults. Since we were in Green Hills we thought we would stop in, get a milkshake and some candy. It is a really cool space –old school candy that you normally cant find places. They have candy by the pound($ 12/pound) and candy bars/assortment($ 1.75 for a regular size bag of skittles). The candy is over priced, but for kids and the environment, it could be worth it. We each order a shake to go — strawberry, coffee chocolate and a malted chocolate. The strawberry and the malted chocolate took FOREVER to make — literally 5 – 10 minutes each for a shake. That is absolutely way too long. The women was having a really hard time because she didn’t add enough milk so it didn’t blend well. I like thick shakes but this was too thick — it need to be creamier and looser so you could drink it through a straw. Additionally, the malt powder didn’t get blended enough with milk so it was still very grainy. A different guy made the coffee milkshake which my husband loved — it was creamy, thick but a good consistency so you could drink it, and made super fast — 2 – 3 minutes. I would probably go back to get a specialized candy if I need one, but otherwise I wouldn’t go out of my way.

We pass this large candy store every Saturday and I finally decided to bring my daughter in. Although it is a beautiful store the prices are outrageous, I suppose they have to keep up the rent somehow but I could buy some of the same items for ¼ the price at the grocery store. We walked around the entire store(keep in mind it was slow) and not one person offered assistance. My daughter really wanted a candy necklace(which I was ready to buy) and there were no baggies nearby to package it up. After several minutes of standing and looking around, we couldn’t find anyone who would help us and left without making a purchase. We will not be back.

OBSESSEDOBSESSEDOBSESSED. I’m a bit of a candy connoisseur & the selection here is prime. They also have tons of unique chocolate bars and old-fashioned candy, which is awesome! They just started offering baked goods(the funfetti cake looks too good) and their ice cream sundaes are AMAZING! My boyfriend and I had a great time splitting one(get the Krazy cookie dough) while playing some Candy Land :) the service here is great too– everyone is so friendly!!! Never getting candy anywhere else again! This place is a must if you’re in the Green Hills area!

The Sugar Dive is one of those quirky, funky, adorable little places that makes Nashville awesome! Inside an old Green Hills home you’ll enter a world of unique, hard-to-find candies and an old-fashioned soda shop. Kids will LOVE the sugary treats and adults will enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and the classic candy of their youth! From root beer floats to delights I haven’t seen in 30 years, this joint has a little bit of everything!

So happy they are here in Green Hills. The hi-light of my kiddos week! Every Friday afternoon has quickly become a ritual. My hi-lights: their milkshakes — I have been looking for an awesome shake in Nashville since moving here, and I have found it. Chocolate has been my favorite, but today was able to try a limited edition red velvet milkshake. Off the hook. My kids love the assortment of candy — ranging from 25 cents to $ 25:) A fun place to hang — especially if it is warm enough to sit outside under the heaters. It is tricky to find places for toddlers to sit inside unless the booth is open or they can sit on barstools, but the outside is fenced in so little ones can have the run of the place! Just what Green Hills needs. Thank you Sugar Dive! Cant wait to have our birthday party upstairs in the party room — super cute!

We saw this place and thought it’d be a fun place to look around/buy some candy. We went on a Saturday, which is when I assumed they would be at their best. There is a great selection of candy, and the people who worked there were polite. I was disappointed in the ice cream as it just came out of a small tub of Blue Belle. The owner(I assume) was working on paperwork at the one booth we saw. They were cutting fudge on the counter taking up a few more seating options. We sat at the counter for a while before being helped, and we saw a few people trying to figure out where to purchase the candy they’d chosen. The place definitely has fun potential though, and I could see it being fun for a birthday party. I think(hope) they are just getting some kinks out of the system.

Sugar Dive is a very fun, old style candy shop that opened right across the street from my office! They have a little bit of everything there. You can get the normal candy that is found in any grocery store, but there are lots of other options. They have a giant display for Jelly Bellys. There are also several items that you can pick and buy by weight – chocolates, taffy, and many many others. The uniqueness of this place comes from it’s older candies. If you are looking for something that you used to snack on as a child, it might just be at this candy store. It’s a lot of fun to sort through everything they have! One other unique feature is their coffee bar. They have several different coffees that you can purchase, but they also carry Jeni’s Icecream. That will definitely come in handy for me as the weather warms up. I imagine that the space rented by Sugar Dive is fairly expensive and some of the items you buy can be a bit pricey as well. However, it is definitely unique and gives you the opportunity to try new things. This place is a lot of fun and I look for to making frequent trips across the street to visit them.
