Usually when I go to a store — I get greeted to and they will ask if I needed help. I got neither from this store. It was a weekday too so it wasn’t really busy. Instead the guy cashier was too busy talking with his female coworker. I’ve been to other Hot Topics like the one in Mission Valley (the cashiers over there are really great and will help you find what you need) and I have never received this kind of service before.

The staff is always friendly. When I’m at the mall I check their store of pop figures. The deal they usually have is buy one get one half off on the whole store. If you’re looking for something at the store and they don’t have it they also have an Instagram which they update frequently with new shipments.

I came here on a very busy day looking for a special birthday gift. Was in the store less than 2 minutes and this prior service US Marine comes up to me offering assistance. The gentleman’s name is Dave and he is one of the most respectful & knowledgeable customer service representatives that I have seen at a retail store in a while. This review is all about the service, not the store. I could have bought my merchandise at a couple different locations within walking distance but I didn’t because Dave is freaking awesome! nuff said…

II’ve always been a fan of Hot Topic and their tees but my last visit kinda sucked. Some of the workers seem too chatty with eachother to help their customers. I wanted a try on a few shirts and the guy worker told me someone was in the dressing room. I waited for 10 mins and he finally came back and asked me if i tried my shirts on already. & i was thinking no duh, I’m still standing here. When he unlocked the door no one was even in there all that time and no one ever came out so i was waiting there for nothing. I ended up getting annoyed cuz by the time i was done trying my shirts on the line was extremely long. I ended up not buying anything.

I give it a two star because of the lame newbies they hire with no customer service experience. You can tell because they will talk in a monotone voice; roll their eyes wt you; or not ask if you need any assistance. Hot Topic-​clean your act!

Staff is nice not the typical anti social staff hot topic use to higher. It is everything it was before just more socially friendly.
Prices here are decent and stock is diverse.
They have a cool collection of Alchemy jewerly which is pretty nifty lookin stuff.
They have frequent sales so check often and don’t forget your frequent buyer card to get you discounts

Shopping, hate or love it… we have to do it. So, I sneak off on a xmas shopping expedition whilst my children are at school and end up at Hot Topic because one of my daughter’s teachers loves Johnny Depp. I discover that not only does this store carry a wide assortment of scary and fun items featuring characters from Nightmare Before Christmas (one of my favorite movies), Hello Kitty and a ton of other cool stuff. Sexy bras and panties for those with mayhem in mind, tee shirts with cool and sometimes obscene sayings, such as «Sith Happens» i.e. Star Wars, get it? Just neat stuff. So, don’t write Hot Topic off based on the dark feel, feel your darkness. Try it, you might like it.
