This is my go to Filipino bakery in NC. I like the Filipino style chicken and pork or beef empanadas. This place has the best mango cake everrrr!!! Perfectly sweetened. Must try ! Yum! They have little snack cakes like coconut Macarons, cheesy ensaymadas, butter soft cakes/taisan, brownies and cold drinks and halo2. I liked the specialty cakes they have ube, mango and Brazo Mercedes and chocolates(not too sweet). Overall, good CS nice and friendly staff. Decent price. They have various location in CV and Mira Mesa as well. Highly recommended! They also have wheat pandesal hmmm! Today I’m craving for empanadas again days omg Fatty problems !!! Lol and I’m not Preggy either ! seriously I love their chicken empanadas foreallll!!! So I tried the pancit palabok meal for $ 7.75 and it comes with a slice of cake, empanada and a drink? What a hell of a deal !!! The pancit palabok was so delish omg like I want more. And the mango cake is heavenly yummy! It melts in your mouth! Oh boy ! I can eat this shit everyday ! Must have ! Excellent CS super friendly peeps! Highly recommended. This time I upgraded them to 5stars! They deserve it these guys worked really hard and very respectful to customers. This location is by the Starbucks plaza Blvd off 805S. Other businesses nearby are the Manila seafood, Popeyes chicken, Subway and Chowking. Lots of parking but pretty busy area. Affordable, decent price. Happy tummy ;)

Red Ribbon is a hit or miss for me. You come here for the mamon sponge cake and the other pastries, not really for food. The arrozcaldo is ok but they fused it too much with Chinese style rice porridge by mixing in mushrooms. Mango and ube cake are my favorite.

I would have given this place 5 stars because everything they have is delicious, and the workers are respectful, but having mold is just a no-no! I came here on Saturday(10÷3÷15) and bought a bunch of stuff — mamon, taisan, pancit palabok, pan de sal, banana bread, and a mango cake. My husband brought the unopened banana bread to work today, and he sent me a pic of mold on it. He said it probably had mold when I bought it. Even so, I don’t completely blame myself… it’s not like it’s the norm for me to check if something has mold before I buy it. If there wasn’t mold on it yet, then it must’ve been on that shelf for a while.

So I was craving some ensaymada today. I thought to myself«when’s the last time I went to Red Ribbon?» I couldn’t remember. So I grabbed the little dude and off we went. I know, I know, everyone detests the parking lot here. Get over it! The delicious treats that await you inside are more than enough to compensate for the minor annoyance you go though outside. Besides, if you’ve ever traveled to other countries you’d probably be a little more mellow about parking here. It’s true, I came here for ensaymada, but the empanadas also sucked me in. They sell chicken and beef. If you buy six, you get one free. I blame the super nice guy who upsold me at the register for my large purchase. If I get fat, it’s all his fault! When I got home the empanadas were still piping hot. And wow were they tasty. I mean they are just like my Lola makes. The crust is flaky and buttery, and the chicken is tender and moist. I’m not going to say how many I ate, but there’s still a portion left. We also picked up the ensaymada and my little dude went to town grabbing up banana and chocolate slices. I was drooling over some of the other baked goodies, but I managed to show some restraint, especially seeing as how we walked out of there with two bags haha. I know everyone has their preferences. I like Red Ribbon over some of the competition, because the service here is always excellent and I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t fresh and tasty.

Came here to pick up a mango cake… Walked in, place was nice and clean. The display and counter to your right. Tables and restroom to the left. While they do offer warm foods, of course they’re best know for their cakes and other Filipino baked goods. Service was friendly, we ordered 2 round mango cakes($ 19.99 each) and they were able to write a message for us right away. Also try their mamon(think sweet sponge cake)… One huge negative, is their parking situation. Tight spots, always busy, always full.

It was smaller than I expected it to be, but they had everything I was looking for — ube cake, some mamon, and other breads. The location is the downer for this place. Parking sucks; the spaces are small and filled up as there are a number of other shops in the building. I wouldn’t recommend parking your new car in the lot as judging by the way patrons here park, they don’t give a rat’s ass about anyone else’s convenience.

Best palabok ever!!! I always go here for their palabok because they use the thin noodles. The sauce is the perfect amount and their noodles are always perfect and never overcooked. I also love buying their baked goods like taison. Their cakes/rolls are awesome like the mercedes de brazo(MYFAVE!). Service is always great. The people here are friendly and quick!

Desert prices are pricy, but the halo halo was good.

It was a really hot day, so we decided to get some ice cold Filipino drinks. We ordered halo-halo, sago’t gulaman and an ube shake with boba. The halo halo came out first. The pinipig on top of the halo halo was very very stale. Bad sign. When we got the rest of the drinks, we saw that there was no sago in the sago’t gulaman. The cashier did not tell us that they ran out of sago, but still continued on making our drinks without informing us. It’s half the name people! There wasn’t any boba/sago in the ube shake either. The girl up front didn’t say sorry or even try to refund us back our money. Horrible service here.

1 word = YUMMY 2 words = MANGOCAKE 1+2 = 3 fr! ggin words + comma + exclamation point = YUMMMY, MANGOCAKE! BAM! Honestly, all I get and can remember getting is the mango cake. Is that being unfair giving 5 stars due to awesome cake? I’m sure I’ve tried other things, but seriously… the mango cake makes me and will make you, yes YOU, return. Forever.

Don’t you hate it when you don’t know what to grab on the way to a friend’s house? I didn’t have much options considering it was late on a Sunday night. I decided to pull into this shopping center since it’s located conveniently right off the 805. Low and behold, Red Ribbon was still open around 8PM. All the other surrounding stores were closed. I walked in and was pleased to see a pretty decent selection of cakes and other baked goods. Their small rolled cakes start at $ 10.99 and up. Flavors range from Mango, Ube, Chocolate, Mocha and more. I got the small chocolate cake layered w/caramel. Frosting was chocolate w/strips of white chocolate on top. That’s a lotta chocolate, I know! Not a huge caramel fan, but the cake was pretty good and not too sweet. The guy working there was surprisingly nice and jovial. Would return fore future cakes.

All I have to say is: CHOCOMOCHACRUNCH! Every holiday, every birthday, every craving for cake… this is what my family gets. We are in love with this cake, and the little crunchy toffee bits inside. YUMMMMMMMMM. MYALLTIMEFAVORITECAKEANDWILLPROBABLYBEFORTHERESTOFMYLIFE!!! In fact, we had some yesterday for a family BBQ during the playoff game… mmmhmm, I sure did get another slice of cake to make me feel better… okay, maybe I got two.

Birthdays and celebrations at my mom’s house mean one thing: Red Ribbon cake!!! I can’t recall if I’ve ever gotten any other baked goods here. It doesn’t matter because I’m in love with their cakes! My top is the ube cake. Purpley goodness! Sometimes my mom gets the variety, which has slices of ube, pandan macapuno, black forest and mocha. The mocha one is my second favorite because of the little sweet crunchy bits. Mmm… I can almost taste it right now! Hehe! It’s too bad that the next birthday celebration is in April… Maybe mom will do something for Christmas! Better loosen my belt buckle now! Haha!

I guess you get what you pay for… $ 2.99 I did enjoy the chicken empanada… ATLEAST I believe this was located next to Vanilla seafood… NO not manila seafood, Vanilla seafood… cause all I saw were aunties with their white husbands… whatever happened to keepin it in the gene pool… «Make me pretty baby haa»
