A little confused. Made a service call on a week day, not a holiday and not a weekend. tech came out, looked at furnace and said «you need filters but I don’t have any on the truck» «gonna have to go to Home Depot». What? standard size filters not on truck? decided to get them myself.
Then he charged $ 200.00 for simple diagnostics (not even for replacing a filter). When asked why so expensive? He said «yeah we’re pretty expensive»
Other furnace in same house not working. Called different company (second one on list with good reviews just under Jonasson)… $ 95.00 for visit and diagnostics.
I’m finishing a new house in a few months. I will need a service contract… who do you think I’m going to call?

Purely based on lack-​there-​of customer service, this guy is a jerk! He was tailgating me from Dedham to Needham one morning. I was going 10 miles above the speed limit at one point, thinking he may back off – nope! He also was annoyed I was stopping for a construction site and almost proceeded to go around me. After calling the number PLASTERED ON HIS TRUCK, he was rude and not professional. Next time your business name is advertised on your truck, maybe think about the message you’re sending to potential customers. Plumbers, good ones and bad ones, are a dime a dozen.

These guys are some of the best plumbers in the business, period.
We had no fewer than 3 other plumbers in to look at a problem we were having where our hot water was coming out lukewarm and getting hotter/​colder by the minute. The other three guys were saying we’d have to rip down the walls of our condo to find the problem, and ended up retreating, scratching their heads and ultimately having no idea what to do.
When Carl Jonasson and his guys tackled the problem, it took some time, but ultimately they tracked it down, and fixed it *correctly* with no demolition required, the first time. Turns out there was a mixer valve improperly installed in our whirlpool tub that had a leak and was leeching cold water into our hot water supply intermittently.
We’ve since used them for 4 or 5 other jobs ranging from toilet repair and replacement to the installation of a new garbage disposal, and they have been just stellar every single time. Can’t say enough good things about these guys.
