I’ve stayed here a few times as my work requires me to travel all across the state of Missouri. Rooms are nice for the price and it’s located right off 71. Pros: Comfy beds/pillows, decent sized rooms, hot breakfast Cons: Thin walls, basic décor, bathroom exhaust fan is connected to the light-switch Overall a good place to stay in the area.

WHATHAPPENED? First few trips through Missouri and no problems. Three trips this past year and what a mess. I intentionally plan my drive times so I can get to this hotel for the night. This last stay was my last stay. My bathroom was poop dirty. SO, they moved me to another room which appeared to have blood all over the carpet by the window… what– did the mobsters visit? Clerk at the desk was frazzled and appeared to be suffering from heat exhaustion– most likely caused by the polyester blouse and pants she was required to wear. Yet she remained kind and helpful. Stated not sure what stain is on carpet but can move me again– which we did. I do not know if this place is under new ownership– as are most of our hotels across America– but if so, and if it is the same folks I have met in my extensive travels — I can only say this– THISISAMERICA, keep it clean, don’t skimp on the things that make people want to stay, and take care of your staff– this is a free nation– slavery is against the law. If this is not the case, and the same people own it– shame on you. What ever happened is not good for your business.

Decent place with clean rooms and friendly staff. Well-stocked continental breakfast. My only issues were with very low water pressure from shower head, just better than a dribble. And the outlets in the bathroom would not power my flat iron and curling iron.

Probably the beat place to stay in the area. Prices are reasonable, rooms are big and the wifi is great. I prefer more firm beds, but they are comfortable, and all the rooms have a mini-fridge and microwave. The breakfast was great all 3 days we stayed here. Fresh, good choices and something a little different every day. Recommended

Stayed here recently while passing through the area, and was pleasantly surprised. Quiet, homey, and possibly the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept on in years. At first, I was not excited by what appeared to be a pretty standard«free hotel breakfast», but they took the same old items and somehow made them actually edible! Someone obviously spent some time in preparation. This was only one night of an 8 night trip, but it is the one place I would like to re-visit.

I have been invited to perform at Cottey College twice in the last two years and both times the college put me up at the Country Inn & Suites in Nevada, MO. This hotel is not lavish or fancy but rather homey and unpretentious. Décor in the lobby is cottage-like, warm and welcoming with big comfy couches and wooden furniture. The breakfast room offers a large selection of options including plenty of hot food(from scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, homemade oatmeal, sausage, waffles and more). My room is spacious and comfortable. Flat screen tv with HBO, Showtime and over 500 channels! Heater/AC works well. Wifi is slow. Furniture is simple but doesn’t look ancient. They don’t accept pets so you can’t bring your furry companions here. Only 3 miles away from Cottey College. Two seconds away from Hwy 71, perfect off-road stop for the night on long drives! I recommend this place.

Stayed here when I was visiting my Grandparents. It is the best place to stay in the area which is very limited. They have a complimentary breakfast and the rooms are clean. The staff is really pleasant too.
