The best cheeseburger around. Great old lunch counter style friendly everything. If you don’t want to try the hand cut and fried suzyQs, the crinkle fries are great too.

We were passing through on our return from Kansas City and were looking for a local spot instead of grabbing a snack at Casey’s or Sonic-this historic spot was interesting and authentic. We kept it simple with bacon cheeseburgers, fries and delicious onion rings. Great atmosphere and food!

The burgers are very flavorful. This last visit my burger was so greasy the bun was soggy which grossed me out. This is still my favorite«greasy spoon»

An all original 50’s era diner with 50’s era menu items. Service and food was good although the base ingredients for some of the food appeared to be low cost commercial grade. Stopped in for breakfast and enjoyed it much more than I would have at any of the local chains. Would definitely go again!

This place is amazing! I discovered it using Unilocal on a road trip – I was really in the mood for something besides the usual fast food. It’s a trip that I make regularly, and I will from now on schedule my trip through Nevada to coincide with a lunch or dinner, just so I can eat at White Grill. The double with cheese and the Q fries were off the charts. Seriously, the burger was among the best that I’ve had in years, both in taste and in quality. There was a hefty amount of grease involved and I felt a bit off my game for the next couple of hours, but it was worth it! Next time I’ll get a little less food. They have sweet tea. Not just tea with sugar, but real sweet tea. If you’re from the south you know how good it is to find this in MO. Don’t go to the bathroom. Seriously, you’d be better off somewhere outside. Go at some gas station before you get there. White Grill has been around since 1938, and my guess is that they celebrated the 10 year anniversary with the final cleaning. Everything about this place is five stars, except for the bathroom. That only matters enough to make my review four stars.

Breakfast was far from good. Ordered eggs,(crispy)bacon, hash browns & toast, w coffee. Bacon was floppy and not cooked enough for regular bacon, let alone crispy. Hash browns were not fully cooked, as some of the potatoes were still hard. Toast was more like warm bread, no toastyness to it. And coffee was extremely light & had a taste I can’t quite put my finger on. The eggs we’re fine. After delivering our food, we did not have anyone check on us until we went to pay. Pretty disappointing. I definitely will not return for breakfast, might try lunch sometime.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Old fashioned diner which reminded me of a white castle burger shop back on the east coast. The burgers were excellent and so was the coleslaw. The Suzy q fries were a little greasy for my taste Great service and friendly people. They also serve breakfast all day and the dish called the MESS looked like a must have. Fresh coffee was also on hand

Another update: God, I love the burgers and vanilla cokes here. Just go get a cheeseburger with(the«with» is some of the thinnest onions ever grilled to near invisible on the flat grill) and some SusiesQs. Those are curley fries. On this trip we ate breakfast here a couple times. If you get there early enough you can get biscuits and gravy. Unless you are Paul Bunyan just get a half order. It’s huge. Fluffy biscuit and cream gravy with plenty of sausage bits in it. Pancakes as big as your car tires. And if you are really hungry try The Mess(or half a mess as it’s a plateful.) A Mess is grilled potatoes covered with eggs and ham and cheese and onion and peppers if you want ‘em. Roll me out the door! Dine in and get free coke refills! Don’t forget to get a vanilla Coke or a cherry Dr Pepper. Place is still smoke free. It’s being kept much cleaner than it was a couple years ago. Floor is not as greasy or covered in food and trash. There aren’t anymore flies left dead in the windows. That actually kept me from eating inside for about a year. No, there’s not a lot of room inside to sit. Counter stools and 6 or 7 booths. So you may want to just pull up to the back door and honk. Someone will come out and take your order.

Definitely, the brightest spot on that side of town. A cute little diner with big eats. Had the double cheeseburger, cooked on the flat grill. Great flavor but what knocked me out was the grilled onions it comes with! Also, lettuce and tomato… not grilled. The«Suzy Q’s» were good and lots of them. Thanks Cori, for prompt and polite service. I recommend. Would’ve been five stars, but the restroom situation was less than desired. Small and the only one to share.

A little birdie told me that this is one of the best restaurants to come to in this town of Nevada. Boy I will say I’m glad I came 500 miles to experience this food. This has been recommended to me for ages, and I finally got to come here to try it. The burgers, which you can get a single or double patty, are to die for. The burgers are really juicy, come with onions, and the other delicious things. I had a single party, but I sure wish I could’ve had a double one considering it was the most marvelous burger I’ve had in years. On this trip, I hope to come back once more to try the double patty. The Susie Q’s are a good side to have with the burger. Back home we call them Curley fries, but I like this name for them. It is a whole lot better than most fries I’ve tried in my life, and good with ketchup. Also they’re not too salty; I’ve had a few salty fries in my life. The vanilla cokes are a delectable and a treat if you’re a fan. I tried one for the first time and I wish I had many at my place. The ice is like Sonic ice, but better. I sure do like the flavor of it and wish I discovered this a long time ago. There are other flavors you could try, but I really enjoyed the vanilla coke. Parking is a bit small, but it’s not a very large restaurant. They have a counter and plenty of booths to sit in. It’s even smoke free; I assume it wasn’t in the past. Plus there are lots of menu options for half the price I’d get for a meal in Houston. That’s why this is a new favorite of mine. Why can’t we have one back home!!! Surely I am coming back before I leave the town to try the double burger and more vanilla coke. I really think this restaurant could have more stars if I could give it more. Boy this restaurant has made me love burgers and has been a historical figure of many friends of mine. I really wish there was one in Houston.

Great burgers and onion rings. Burgers have the taste you can only get from a hot, well seasoned grill. Tenderloin sandwich was a disappointment, not much flavor. It could use lots more seasoning and a minute or two longer in the fryer. Great service! They would get a fifth star except for the flies…

Stopped in here while traveling through and I couldnt have enjoyed it more. Old fashioned hand smashed burgers, tons of their hand cut Susie Q fries and milk shakes with real ice cream. I had spent a week in KC eating well but my double Whistle burger sitting at that counter watching the burgers fly was a the culinary highlight of my trip.

My family always stopped here on the way to Lake Stockton from Kansas City during the summers when I was a kid. Several years later(2007) I was coming back from Lake of the Ozarks and made it a point to stop in and see if it was still as good as I remember. It is still on of the best burgers I have ever had! If you are headed south from Kansas city, do yourself a favor and take I-49 and give it a try.
