Great old theater. Very nice people and volunteers, good A/​C, reasonably priced drinks. Easy place to find parking. I will definitely return to see some shows.

A fantastic venue! SO when I posted a picture of me here a lot of my friends were so delighted to see it! Saying how much they loved watching movies here and now shows! A small town theater with a lot of heart and a cosy but not over crowded feel at all. They had a full bar, comfy seats, great lighting and the performance I saw was superb! Loved every moment and can’t wait to go back. If you are in town check out a show!

Cool venue for watching live performances just a short drive from Austin in the heart of downtown New Braunfels not far from the circle.
My one and only experience here involved watching ‘A Christmas Carol’ last December when my friend Kent played the lead as Ebenezer Scrooge. Prior to that, I only knew of the Brauntex as a decaying and closed vintage theater.
Wow, what they’ve done to the place! Great lobby and ticket operation. Total renovation of the bathrooms to modern standards yet keeping with period design. Even the ushers dress in period uniforms. It’s like taking a trip back to a day in time when I was still enqueued in Mommy.
The theatre itself is comfortable with comfortable seating, decent sound, and good lighting. For the performance I attended, the crowd was an all ages group and arts appreciative.
After looking over their website, BPATA has a wide variety of musical and theatrical productions year round. I highly recommend checking out one of their events sometime soon!
