Everyone was very friendly and the food was great! Loved the California club. Would def come back! YUM!

This is an after church favorite for our family.
Super nice servers! Everything is always fresh and cut for your order. We have picky eater girls and they always make non-​sandwich stuff to order.
Wife and I get sandwiches or salads. All have been excellent.
Smoothies are also a great treat there.

Pretty tasty sub sandwich at this Austin institution in New Braunfels. The restaurant has a local non chain feel to it. There are posters of the Austin music scene on the walls, and they play artists like Jimmy Ray Vaughn on the music system.
All customers are greeted upon reaching the counter (many by name). This food is value-​added (large portions with low prices) The bread is baked daily from a local bakery in Kyle. I got the 7 in Italian with real cappicola with thundersauce and mayo on a white roll, only $ 4.59.
For only $ 1 more, you can get the 10 incher, which I recommend to you because these rolls are very narrow and very light. They are not like a dense french bread loaf. It doesn’t seem like they weigh out their meats like Subway. You are given a great portion of meats, and all the vegetables are super fresh, especially notable is the way they micro shred the lettuce. Thunder sauce is a light oil and vinegar topping, which contains paprika and a number of other spices. Get extra and dip stuff in here.
This will absolutely be my go to place for any kind of sandwich.

I miss my bi-​weekly trips to New Braunfels Feed because it gave me an excuse to grab a sandwich here. Their meats are good, the vegetarian options are delicious, I love their wheat bread, the service is perfect 95% of the time. They edge out Erb & Gerb on every comparison but soup options. If they had one in San Marcos I would be in there all the time.
Parents were heading my way via NB and were kind enough to drop off a sandwich. I could have cried for happiness. My roast beef on wheat with everything has made my day. Fresh and fast, clean tasting, marvelous.

Best subs in town, PERIOD !!! I make sure to eat there at least a few times a month ! The «New York Italian », «office favorite», and club sandwiches are my favorite ! The food is fresh, tasty, made to order by friendly sandwich artists who really seem to enjoy their jobs. If you like subway, you’ll LOVE THUNDERCLOUD !!! Give them a try, your tastebuds will thank you !!! NOT expensive like wich-​which either !!!

This place is literally the best sandwich place. Beats jersey mikes but a hometown and subway by a landslide. Office favorite is literally the best.

My favorite sub sandwich in town. Favs? Club. Turkey and cheese. Egg salad. Chicken salad. Oh get a brownie! And try their tasty soups!
They always have coupons too in mailers and things of that nature. Usually if you buy a large sandwich, chips and drink it is for a free small sub.
Bread and ingredients bear Subway by far. Plus they are an Austin company which makes them cooler.

Great sub shop, love coming here when I’m in NB. Service is quick and friendly, and subs are decently priced. I normally get the tuna sub. Bathrooms are clean. Not much more to say!

Love their Subs and soups!!!

T-​Cloud is legit. I like the turkey sub. I am in there every Friday at noon.
The Elvis shake is good, too, on a special occasion.

My husband told the girl making his sandwich to make it gluten free. She then proceeded to tell him that the gluten –free «fad» is in people’s heads and she just eats whatever she wants. She also dipped the knife in the non-​gluten free mayonnaise. He watched in horror as she contaminated his sandwich with gluten. He came home and told me what happened. He ate His sandwich and prayed he wouldn’t get sick. Of course, he got sick that night.
Boo on thundercloud for not training their employees how to avoid cross contamination and that celiac is a real problem, not something in people’s heads. I told my husband he should complain to the manager about what happened. He just said, naw I’ll just never go back.

The other day the guy making my sandwich wasn’t wearing gloves and had an old gross band aid on his finger. Ew. Decent sandwich though I’ll probably go back.

this is a smallguy, so gotta go with them. cheese and bread are good. the meat, thats not so good. i get ham and havarti, and yeah the ham is okay with some fat streaks in there. had the meatball once, it was not very good, as the meat was too moist and didn’t hold together very well, making them a bit mushy and really, eating with a fork is cleaner and more delicious as well.

I Just moved to NB from Dallas so I searched Unilocal for a good sandwich place b/​c I can barely stand Subway. Well I started with this one which I had never heard of before b/​c it was the closest and Im glad I did! It was amazing! Even tho I ordered online and they never got it. I ordered the California club but I cant really taste the Thundercloud sauce so I will just have to ask for more next time!

Good fresh sandwiches. Definately not subway, I think this location is odd because it’s not in Austin and kind of hidden.
The place was clean and each person working had there own sandwhich making station. The worker who helped me was fast, super friendly, and very patient.

This place has some great sandwiches! It has a real Austin feel to it. I’m not sure if it has a real «weird» feel to it or if it is all the Austin stuff on the walls.
When you go to Thundercloud make sure you try the California Club and do not forget to get the Thundercloud Sauce.
