Like the cable company, Link requires you to wait at home during a long window of time where they may show up… then after repeatedly bothering you to confirm in the weeks before and despite taking your credit card information, they call you once again when they decide they are ready to come out… except that, if you don’t immediately answer or return the call they will«divert» the tech to another(more profitable emergency?) job. After missing work to sit around for these jokers(who bugged me repeatedly to confirm I would be home), they ultimately don’t show at all. The further they have to travel the more likely they are not to show up. If you have a job you really need done, be careful that they don’t do this to you(if you just miss the final call they will simply divert the tech). You are better off going with someone who has as much respect for your time and concerns as a customer, as they do for their bottom line as a company.

What can I say? I would do business with Link again in a heartbeat. Chris Link himself came out to prepare a quote, and he carefully walked us through all of the options. The installation went off without a hitch. The compressor unit for our whole house air, unfortunately, was a lemon. It had a coolant leak in it that just couldn’t be located. Link did everything they could, including redoing the lines to and from the compressor. One their techs, a small guy, even took down the ductwork and climbed in looking for the fluorescent dye that’s used. Link also ate the labor. Eventually they replaced the coil itself, and that seems to have fixed the problem. By contrast, the manufacturer seemed only vaguely interested in the problem, and didn’t seem to mind at all that Link was absorbing all of the costs for their manufacturing defect. We belong to Link’s «comfort club», which basically is a way of paying for spring and fall preventive maintenance in monthly installments. That works better for the budget, and also keeps us from putting off the maintenance.

Our furnace died unexpectedly and needed replaced same week, and our neighbors recommended this company. The guy doing the estimate, and the guys doing the installation a few days later were all professional and thorough. Their quote was comparable to 2 others we had and I didn;t feel we were being oversold on anything we didn’t need. I would highly recommend them for others and would use them again.
