Just ordered chili dogs and fries. Fries are great but a little salty. Chili dog is your basic traditional American dog but the chili is tasty. And the delivery is über quick

Part of the reason that I love Tido’s is that it’s so much different from other places in New Brunswick. The hot dogs are really good(I like the NYC steamer) and the fries also kick ass.

So small your are virtually inspecting the tags of the other patron’s shirt. The dogs are ok. I continue to stop there on the occasion I’m hustling on Easton towards Somerest county.

The food is good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Its a tiny dirty shack; the kind of place you hit up after drinking. Def worth stopping at if youve been drinking on easton ave.

In the town of Fat sandwiches and pizza, it’s nice to be able to grab something a little bit different and quite tasty. This small shack houses some of the more interesting hot dog creations I’ve seen. Granted it’s no Pinks, but Tido’s certainly holds his own. They definitely put some thought into their dogs. The Disco Dog combines the NJ diner classic Disco fries with a hot dog. Tido’s Top Dog has both chili and bacon. The Crackler is a mini Epic Meal Time in a bun — wrapped in bacon and deep fried. For those with big appetites, you can get 1 or 2 dogs with a plethora of other stuffing options shoved into a pizza bread. As stated earlier, this is a small shack. There’s no place to eat inside, but they do have a couple of tables outside. This is more a grab and go kind of place. I always enjoy eating from Tido’s. Yes when all is said and done, you might end up spending more than a typical college student would like to pay for a big meal. However, if you just want some good eats you’ll be able to some dogs for a decent price.

3.5 stars. Rounding down because the delivery minimum is too high and delivery takes forever. This place is kind of a positive-leaning mixed bag. On one hand, the onion rings are the absolute best around, and the variety of hot dogs and sides you can get are mind-bending. On the other hand, I do feel that the quality of the hot dogs has gone down somewhat recently. They don’t taste as fresh as they used to. It’s also pretty expensive for the amount of food you get, though somehow not expensive enough to get up the $ 10 delivery minimum for one person. Strange how that works. Never ate in the restaurant or got the burger, so I can’t comment on that.

Not saying this place isnt good, it is. very tastey hot dogs, fresh toppings. i have a few complaints, though. first, too expensive for what ya get. also the buns arent steamed. ya gotta have a steamed bun. other than that the dogs are nathan’s so you can really go wrong and if i had to guess i’d say the pickle spears are claussen. all in all a good dog.

Definitely a straight-forward experience. I went in here after a great night of partying with friends expecting to get some hot dogs. They had a solid variety of america’s classic hot dog and I was certainly impressed to find multiple options that I definitely want to come back and try next time I’m in the area. I simply couldn’t order them all in one trip! I highly advise you guys give this place a try. Its conveniently located on easton avenue next to the strip of bars, is properly priced for its services, and the food was great!

Meat in cylindrical form, all sorts of toppings, great fries, an CHEAP. Whether you are broke, drunk, lost, failing out of your econometrics class, or just hungry, it’s hard to beat this little unpretentious joint. Skip the burger tonight and get yourself a dog!

My boyfriend has some love affair going with this place, and i’m not sure why… I got a hotdog with cheese, which was good but was not better than anything I could have made at home… The saving grace for Tido’s with me, was their fries. I didn’t get my own order, which is something I’ll have to regret forever, but the ones I stole from my bf a were really, really good. If you live in the area, it’s a good enough place to get good enough burgers and hot dogs. But I wouldn’t make a trip specifically for Tido. Overall: Good, but not great.(except the fries… omg the fries) and the prices are very good.

Best hot dogs you could ever hope for in central jersey. My friends and I used to order Tido’s almost every weekend. I’ve always thought hot dogs were great for ball games and bbq’s but I never had any reason to get excited about them until I tried most of Tido’s dogs. In terms of dogs, they’re all good so try what you think you will like but I just have one suggestion. The buffalo chicken dog might sound silly so you might overlook it. Don’t. It’s absolutely delicious. A perfect chicken finger in a hot dog bun covered in buffalo sauce and blue cheese. Some people even prefer the rest of the menu to the hot dogs. They have great burgers(but not quite better than blitz burger across the street), they have fantastic steak fries and giant onion rings with all kinds of unique topping options. They also have some pretty epic sandwiches and arguably the best chicken wings in town. The cherry on top for me is the selection of Boylan Sodas. My favorite soda company. Forget delivery, just call in and pick it up to avoid soggy dogs.

Living off Richardson St, Tido’s was an almost every weekend occurence. They have so many types of dogs to try, you gotta go through and try them all! One word. CRACKLER. Dog, wrapped in bacon, and deep fried. Delicious. Tido’s also has great wings with different types of sauces, good burgers, and fries, and of course, classic sugar cane Boylan’s sodas(cream is my favorite, but the grape is delish, as well as the orange cream). Anyways, if you’re in the mood for a dog and are on Easton, this has to be your stop.

I love the nice young jewish boy with all the tattoos that serves my wieners to me whenever I come in, he knows just the way I like it. I think his name is Shawn, he’s so friendly! He really knows his way around a hot dog, someone should get him a fan though because sometimes he looks really sweaty… when its not even that hot out! Tido’s has the best onion rings in New Brunswick and if you want a hot wiener in your mouth, this is the place to go.

I had my first italian hot dog here and it was pretty dam good. I admit the hot dogs could have been a little thicker but there was 2 or 3 of them in the bun so that made up for it. Defiantly recommended and need to go back.

I can’t believe there aren’t more five star ratings. While the best hot dog place in New Jersey is Rutt’s Hut, Tido’s has okay dogs, but makes up for it with amazing wings, fries and onion rings. The wings are moist, crispy and messy allover! GIGANTIC beer battered onion rings — no, really, the best. I got their chicken fingers once when they ran out of wings(!KLSDJFLKS#), and they were pretty good too. And it’s cheap. You people are crazy. Five stars!

Great hotdog spot! If u can’t decide anything due to their many choices of food, you gotta get their chilli dog. Its cheap too $ 2 and its so flavorful! If u go on hotdog nite which is wednesday its only $ 1.25. Wow. Place isn’t that big but who cares. Just take their hotdog and go! They also have burgers, people say its good. Never had it. I enjoy their hotdog too much!

I stopped by Tido’s for a consolation hot dog after a detour put me unexpectedly in NB. Even though I was starving the hot dogs just did not cut it. True the menu options are impressive but the flavor was not. I got the chilli dog– the chilli lacked kick, bun was boring, the cheese didn’t really taste cheesy, and the dog quality was mystery meat bland. Oh and the dogs are small– I could have eaten three. Granted, I was not drunk and I did not try the burgers. I’d try Tidos again only under different circumstances!

Delicious chili dogs! I love little hot dog joints like this. Nothing fancy. The food is simple and cheap but tastes great! Their chicken sandwiches and burgers are great too. There isn’t much to this hot dog shack but it has all that you need, delicious food! There is not a eating area other than some plastic tables outside. The food comes out rather quickly and is reasonably priced($ 2 chili dog). While the burgers and other sandwiches are good, i really recommend the chili dogs! The chili has a great flavor and definitely seems unique.

It’s a hot dog place, but they’re pretty wack here. Sure, they have all sorts of fancy flavors and toppings you can throw on your ‘dog, but they just totally miss the mark when it comes to the basics. The franks are cooked in liquid, giving them a soggy texture, when they should really be slow-roasted on a griddle so that you get that saline –pop– when your teeth piece the skin. The buns are just served as is… have they not realized how much better it is when they’re toasted? Anyway, this place gets 4 stars because its burgers and onion rings are the among the best in the New Brunswick area. Simple, quick, and cheap. Nice place with the quirky decorations and all. Try a burger and stay away from those ‘dogs.
