I had been here for coffee, but this was our first time having dinner at Brewster’s. We both got salad entrees and both were healthy portions with quality ingredients. The steak salad that I got was unusual in that it was a hot salad(greens topped with hot steak, mushrooms, and cheese), but the spring salad was more traditional and absolutely delicious. Prices were a bit high across the menu, but by going with salads, we were able to eat a somewhat filling dinner for not very much.

My boyfriend and I drive by here often. We admire the patio longingly, wanting to stop in. Well, we finally had the chance tonight. The patio is killer. I mean, romantic, quiet, and so relaxing. We had already eaten, which was unfortunate, because the menu looked awesome and the smells coming from other people plates made us hungry all over again. But, our biggest compliment had to go to Dan, our waiter and one of the managers. He was friendly and attentive. We only wanted wine on a busy patio and he made us feel welcome. I mange a bar myself and good work doesn’t go noticed as much as if should. Dan was above and beyond. Go to Brewster’s and enjoy the patio. And hopefully you will be lucky to have Dan as your server.

It’s a good option for lunch or dinner in the area. The prices are very reasonable and there’s a large menu with choices for vegetarians like me and meat eaters. The food and drinks are not spectacular but you’re not paying for or expecting a fine Italian meal. The Roma Tortellini was tasty and the pizza was light and fresh. I’d go back but just manage your expectations.

Great atmosphere. Did not order a drink this time, but the dinner for 2 was great. Pizza was awesome, actual entrée was to die for… great service. Did not feel rushed and was able to enjoy a great dinner with great friends :)

Brewster’s is a nice place to eat in New Buffalo. The restaurant is really cute with 5 different seating areas even though the highlight is the garden. In the summer it’s glorious to sit out on their lovely garden and enjoy your meal and the warmth and sun. Their garden is one of the nicer ones I have been to in awhile. As for the food it was rather tasty. I had the signature salad with salmon and it was a fresh, delicious, and healthy. My wife had the chicken pretzel sandwich, which was good even though I think the bread to chicken ratio was a bit off. I recommend Brewster’s when you need a meal in New Buffalo and if you need catering or to host events there, they are rather accommodating. Overall thumbs up!

Ok, you can’t really get a cozier, friendlier, more amazing quality of food fare than Brewsters. The atmosphere is so wonderful inside and out. Take your time and enjoy!

My daughter and I popped in for a late lunch. The staff was inattentive. We ordered pasta and a bruschetta appetizer. I thought the prices were very high — even for new buffalo, and that the food was not very good. At this time of year there are not very many options in town, but I will definitely try somewhere else next time.

Use to come here all the time but a bit disappointed they got rid of the crab cakes. We would come here for lunch and love the salmon salad. I like the selection everyday and wait staff is usually good. Just haven’t come much lately because they discontinued the crab cakes.

I don’t typically choose Italian, but it sounded good the other night. Brewster’s is a pretty restaurant with lovely staff. My dad got the Roma tortellini and I had the Classico manicotti. Dinner arrived quickly, both dishes were excellent. I typically can go on and on about various aspects of my dining experience, but this was just a nice meal.

Dinner for two is really good. Get the Royal cookies for dessert. And they have Anchor Steam beer.

Not my fav. Had the special for 2 people. Called ahead to put name on list. In the end it was prob 2 hrs from call time to being seated. We started in the bar area. Thinking that was busy and congested. But what we didn’t realize was that we would be kitchen help! We were seated along the kitchen. Listening to plates crashing around was horrible! I felt on edge watching the hustle and bustle:( We paid 1.50 more for Marg pizza. Then shared the Roma pasta. Terribly over cooked. Wanted lasagna. They were out. Best part of meal was the salad, soup and bread. Sitting here waiting for the coffee and cookies. Hoping it’s all better than the main course.

I love this place and have been going for about 5 years now. Love the dinner for two! It’s perfect for 2 parents and a 3 year old. and we still have left overs. The gazpacho s amazing. I look forward to t every summer. I would love to know who makes the cookie dough for their fresh baked cookies, they are delicious. Service is always great. One time my pasta was a little too al Dente for me and no problem fixed it right away.

The atmosphere is nice, warm and inviting. The food was good, but not great. I had the Seafood Pasta and my hubby had the meat lasagna. I wasn’t wild about his when I tried it. Mine was very light, and slightly spicy, which I expected. However, aside from the spice it didn’t have much flavor. My kiddo had the cheese pizza and liked it. Service was decent, no complaints there. I would go back, but it would not be a first choice.

We popped in very last minute after our initial dinner plans fell though. We called to see if they could take 6 for dinner and they said it would be about 25 minutes but that they’d put our name on the list. By the time we got there our table was ready — great! We sat outside and were attended to by a wonderful server. Food was very good and plentiful, definitely something for everybody. Would highly recommend and would go back without hesitation.

I wish I could tell you how our meal was but we never had the chance. Yes, it’s tourist season and yes we expect to wait, however… We called ahead to ask about put our name on the wait list and was told to call back exactly 20 minutes before we plan to arrive and they will. We complied and when we called was told«oh we don’t need a wait list its wide open on the patio.» When we arrived there was one name on the list ahead of us and we were told it was a 30 minute wait and we should have called ahead — you see where this is going right? We went to the bar and had fab service from the bartenders, and enjoyed our drinks. There were two tables open the patio mind you. After 35 minutes we asked about our table and was told a few more minutes. After 45 minutes a hostess who def didn’t have her wits about her told us it was going to be longer but they could seat is inside now. We had already waited 45 minutes so we certainly did not want to sit inside by the kitchen. At that point I asked another person at the hostess station who said it would be another 30 – 45 minutes. Now this is a problem — especially after they sat. Not one but TWO groups of six on the patio. Needless to say we were not happy and asked to speak to the owner who said their policy is to seat the larger groups first but she was sorry we didn’t like the offer to sit inside which is all they were willing to do for us. Really?? How about a policy that treats ALL paying customers fairly regardless of party size. I suppose there are whores in every industry including restaurants.

Ordered a pizza to take out. It was sitting on front counter for me to pick up. They did nothing to keep pizza warm. Just shoved it in cardboard box. Need to do better job in that respect. Pizza was reheated in home oven and enjoyed.

NB is my hometown, and I’ve been eating at Brewsters for years. For lunch, I love a big salad(Queen Margherita) and the tomato bisque. I also enjoy their frittata and the lunch portion pastas are great portions. For me, the highlight is the salad dressing — a delicious creamy balsamic vinaigrette that is just totally excellent. The way to do Brewsters for dinner is to do the dinner for two; you get salads or soup, a pizza to share, and an entrée. The salad itself is pretty great, soup usually good also. The pizzas are not super large, but they are wood-fired and delicious with premium ingredients. The tri-colored tortellini is edible but nothing special; there’s a ton of garlic which makes it imbalanced in my opinion. However, I enjoy the chicken in cream sauce and the marinara sauce is good, too; the entrees vary from time to time,. Anyway, the dinner for two also comes with tasty cookies and coffee, which is a nice way to finish a meal. This is not a quick place generally speaking — it’s a more leisurely meal. They also have really good coffee, bloody marys, and a nice crème brûlée.

I was happily surprised by this restaurant. I was expecting a very $$ meal, given its a resort town and from the looks of the outside. But they have this $ 32 for 2 soups or salads, 1 entrée and 1 pizza with a dessert cookie to share deal. The salad was great– no iceberg lettuce ! and a different tarragon dressing– like creamy garlic but very unique. The pizza was too big for 1 person– I took 3 pieces home for later. I got the 4 cheese which was very good. They modified their pasta offering to give my mom exactly hat she wanted– garlic and oil sauce. It was large enough also to take some home. My friends fed themselves and their kids off the entrée and pizza– 2 adults and 2 kids– thats how much food it was. I liked the beer selection — some Belgium and even Shorts brewery. which is hard to find. I would definitely go back.

Started off with the spinach and artichoke dip… Wow! Amazing! Then soup and salad, very good. Time for pizza and the chicken with cheese stuffed pasta. Absolutely fantastic and the service by Joy was spot on. She was very attentive to us. If only we lived closer(150 miles closer) we would be here once a week. Apparently their menu changes daily, so getting sick of the same old thing is not an option. Which we like. This place is a must!!!

It’s gotta be tough to be a restaurant in a resort town because you get so many different kinds of people wandering in and asking inane questions, but Brewster’s makes it look easy. We stopped here for lunch, got a really nice table outside on the patio(shaded with trees, tables have umbrellas, and there is even a fountain). If you get a chance, even in July, to sit outside, do it. It has a nice ambiance. We ordered a couple of the salads, one with chicken one without. The food was great, the service was perfect, and the patio is beautiful. Go here, it’ll be a nice respite from the fudge shops and t-shirt stores.
