Giovanni’s Place

Hate to kick a place while its down. but if it can’t handle simple things like salads and clean tables or AC, it should consider rethinking its purpose.
I came for lunch and ordered the greek salad (I should’ve known better) and a slice of white with broccoli. That and an iced tea were $ 11. The salad was 4 ingredients. 4. Lettuce, feta, fine diced chicken, and black pizza olives. thats it for $ 7.45. Could they spare a tomato? Cucumber? Onion? No. Maybe these items spoiled due to the lack of AC. It was about 101 outside and 89 inside. Very uncomfy.
If you want a slice of average pizza, this is your place. I would not expect much more.
It’s ashame because there are no places to eat, from Wilm to Old Newcastle. Just a little effort would go a long way for the few places on new castle ave.

Ok so I asked for buffalo wings and got boneless. I was optimistic about the pizza when the cheese oozed off. But it tasted like crap. And I will never return. Suck it

If I could give less than 1 star I would! EVERY TIME I order from here there is something wrong with the food or the driver is ignorant. They actually have started calling from the car to just say they are there, they don’t even come up and ring the door bell! We are lucky if everything we order makes it, and have yet to place an order that made it to our house with all items we ordered.
The food is bland/​normal/​average so do not waste your time on such a crappy place for bland/​average food!

stopped by 6 pm on a Friday. Staff was attentive. the pizza did not look that great if you wanted to go with slices. we had a couple of prepared items that took quite a while to arrive. too much sauce splashed on but the food was cooked OK and was hot when it arrived.

My daughter and i visited this nasty place the week of april 15 and i bought 2 chicken parm heros and a order of buffalo wings and we both got food poison. i won’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. horrible experience

Walked in on a busy Friday night. The staff was friendly and I placed my order for two salads: a turkey for my friend and the chicken apple salad for myself. I waited and waited and waited for my two salads. I saw one employee in the back just standing around doing nothing. I finally got my two salads. When I got home, and I live in North Wilmington, there was no chicken in my salad! I was beyond mad. My friend was the person who suggested getting salads at Giovanni’s. NEVER AGAIN!
