Got chicken tacos tonight for takeout. It was a cold soupy mess with barely any taste to it. The rice had the frozen veggies mixed in and the chicken was just huge globs in a corn tortilla that was conpletely soppy. Yuck.

Wife and I took two grandkids for an informal Sat night dinner. Everyone enjoyed their food very much. Good apps, good combo platters and good kids choices all at very fair prices with excellent service.

We weren’t expecting much, as there seems to be NO good Mexican restaurants in Rockland county, but when my veggie burrito arrived generously filled with premixed frozen Asian style stir fry vegetables(had a soy sauce and ginger dressing!) I knew it was my duty to warn others about this restaurant. It was pretty bad. My husband and daughter did not enjoy their meals as well. Each dish was comprised of cheap, poor quality ingredients where it seems that they are more interested in making a profit than edible food. I will say the servers were very sweet. I would highly recommend not eating here.(I never write reviews, but I really felt like I had to)

Very good food. Reasonable pricing. Nice ambiance. It wasn’t busy when we went so service was great.

Wife and I are in search of a New Mexican restaurant to eat, as our last place WAS good but when management changed they tanked. HARD. This place, however, has left a mediocre impression. Despite the other reviews, the food was not very good. It was palatable. But no where near authentic Mexican. Service was also mediocre, maybe due to language barrier. Not sure. Server did notice I didn’t use the lemon for my diet soda and didn’t bring a lemon on my refill, which is a PLUS. Pacing of food was fine. Not rushed or overly long. Mid food had tasted better/fresher would have been a much more pleasant experience. The search continues…

Review is for takeout — haven’t dined in. Menu was great and food was yummy! As a Southern California native I’m always in search of good mexican. It’s not completely authentic, but it did the trick and we’ll be back

Had a great meal there. Waiting for a nice Mexican food establishment to come into New City. Drinks were yummy and food was fast and fresh! Their salsa is wonderful. Small space — we did have to wait for a table for 4. Overall: nice spot for a local bite!

Great spot great service. Food very reasonably priced. Drinks a tad bit pricy. I had«combo #4». Highly recommend this.

Been here 3x already, we love this spot! We initially went there after being told that there was a 45 min wait for a table at the Tapas spot across the way… Sooo glad we came! The food was super fresh, and totally authentic.(Some of the items we got were not exactly to our taste buds, but that’s okay! We figured out as we went along.) They have a killer habanero sauce that can be mixed in with the salsa, and adds the right amount of bite.

Authentic Mexican food and a decent tequila menu. This combination is perfect when you are looking for a good Mexican meal. They also have a nice list of Mexican beers. I had the chicken burrito which comes with rice and refried beans. It was really good and I would visit again and again. Could use some extras like elbandito offers for that extra star, you know?

It’s fairly hard to find good Mexican cuisine in New City, and this place is definitely worth checking out. The establishment itself is very nice and classy and they have made good use of the space. There is a small bar in the back and Mexican music gently playing in the background. The food is wonderful: good quality and fresh ingredients. Our waiter brought us tortilla chips with this absolutely amazing and fresh salsa. I got hard tacos, which came with beans and rice. The food came out fairly quickly and the portion was filling and well worth the price(worlds better than the mediocre«Mexican» food that was served at the American Burrito that occupied the space previously). I noticed the table next to me got this really amazing looking guacamole that I’m definitely going to try next time I come. My only complaint is that the taco shells came out somewhat soggy due to being next to the beans and the rice. Also, the waitstaff was courteous and attentive but not overbearing. I paid $ 16 for a taco plate, so if you think that’s pricey for tacos then I wouldn’t recommend it. But if you enjoy great quality food that’s well worth the price, definitely try it out!

Yet another addition to the growing TS&L empire. Although they don’t have their liquor license yet, the food is just as good as their Suffern location that I am most familiar with. Oh but for the lust of an ice cold margarita! Tasty dishes with fresh ingredients, and more authentic than the typical Rockland County«Mexican» fare. I’m sure you can get sour cream, but it isn’t considered a staple this place. Whether this«ethnic» restaurant will survive the Rockland County blandness mandates, remains be seen. Prices are reasonable but perhaps slightly high; my memory swears the Suffern location is cheaper. Décor is a bit odd… The cobalt blue walls are a bit sterile and chilling. Staff was very friendly and competent. A nice addition to several great little haunts in the same strip mall complex.
