I seldom eat red meat any longer but when I do I go to Five Guys. I live in Florida but am in Utica and tried this location out for the first time. The first thing I noticed is how clean it was. Like every Five Guys I have visited there is almost always an employee on the floor cleaning tables, floor and wiping down other areas. Other «fast food» places need to do this. I was with two others and we had different food items. The employee that took our order was friendly and welcoming. When food arrived it was perfect, cooked correctly and of course the bag had more fries than you could eat. Five Guys has their formula down. Clean, efficient and great food. I like consistency with chains and they have it.

It is really nice having a Five Guys around. It is really high quality, it’s filling, an it tastes really good! This past visit a group of three of us went and got burgers and fries and they were perfect! Sure it is a little expensive at ~$ 12 per person but it is really worth it. I personally got a bacon cheeseburger, which in my opinion was done perfectly! And the fries that they have are superb! I recommended Five Guys to anyone that enjoys a good burger and some good fries!

If you take the best potatoes in the USA, properly cook them, you will get these. And a huge portion. Simply the best I have ever had. Burger had taste. All sizes, standard is a double patty. Free peanuts while you wait. What else. No wonder they win the burger and French fries battles. Burger toppings are free. Lunch heaven.

If you’ve been to a Five Guys anywhere else in the country, you know what you’re getting here. It’s burgers and fries and little else. However, they are both incredibly delicious and the burgers come with any fixings you could want.
The only downside to this location is the lack of seating. It’s hard to find seating at times.

I like that this Five Guys location is no different than the ones in NYC. The burgers are great for being fast food. Double patties all the way!
The Five Guys fries though, I’m not a fan of. They’re way too salty and I’m not crazy about the texture. I demand more crispiness!
FURTHERMORE, a hamburger, cheeseburger, and a large cup of fries should NOT cost $ 15…
Also, the cashier girl kept staring at me. I know Asians are a rare breed in upstate NY, but I am not a circus animal!

I don’t see the greatness of the place. Good yes, if you want a burger or some fries. And don’t get me wrong they make a great fresh burger, with your choice of fixings, and the fries really are outstanding. (I am a fan of the cajun)
But outside of the burgers, you’re talking about hot dogs, and grilled cheese, and that is about it.
There is always a crowd, and again if you crave a fresh burger, its worth the visit.
