I stopped in after a long day of traveling for an early supper. The options were numerous and I thoroughly enjoyed the hummus wrap and carrot juice(with ginger and OJ). The staff was friendly and the service was quick. It is a hidden gem off the beaten shopping path.

not a lot of option in New Haven. This place is awesome.

I want to like this place, but it is mediocre at best given the mostly bare walls, burnt coffee and just not so great overpriced food. At the same time its not terrible in any way. When i went it was empty. Some suggestions for BNatural to improve: — dont sell egg or «omelet» dishes that consist of pre blended eggs from a large bucket mixed with stuff. This is substandard for a café. — get some art on the walls. — vary the furniture — some decent arm chairs and sofas would make it more welcoming. — dont let your staff do pour over coffee without training them on how to do it without burning the coffee.

Great lunch spot as the weather warms up! Outdoor seating, no frills, chill area away from busy body downtown New Haven, in the heart of Downtown New Haven. The fruit bowls and smoothies!!! Awesome guilt free options if you’re trying to maintain or whip your body into shape right in time for summer. Smoothies are the best I’ve had in the area. They don’t skimp on the fruit!

My boyfriend and I were looking for both a breakfast and lunch place. Not only do they serve breakfast all day but I was able to get a phenomenal sandwich — salad combo. We also each got a freshly made smoothie. Was it really pricy? Yes, but completely worth it. It was filling, light, fresh, and healthy. It was a great quick compromise to sitting down for a heavy brunch. My boyfriend got the egg white breakfast sandwich which was made to perfection. Will definitely be goof back!

My one complaint is everytime I go there is one thing missing from my salad that is on the menu board, like in the below picture of their B natural bowl I’m missing my hardboiled egg. However despite this the last 3 salads/bowls I have got have been good. They are a little light on dressing but the hummus acts as dressing for the rest. These bowls/salads are only 8.95 so compared to the competitors in the area they are cheaper. They aren’t the best in the area for salads but also not the worst. They are the closest to my work though and I like the variety so its turned into a regular spot for me.

Another eatery that masks itself as health food oriented when really it is just way overpriced cheap ingredients. A couple months ago a ten dollar sandwich came with salads and sides. Unfortunately this business has gotten lazy and a small mediocre sandwich with average ingredients comes with nothing yet still costs 10 dollars. For ten dollars one can have far better lunch options at other venues down the street.

Stopped by a few weeks ago for a healthy lunch and ordered the B-Green Bowl. Ingredients listed sprouts. When I started the salad I noticed it did not have kale but did have green olives and green grapes which were not listed. Ugh. But under the lettuce was a huge helping of rotting, over cooked Brussels sprouts! I brought the salad to the counter and complained. The guy who worked there insisted that those were«sprouts,» and when I told him they were rotten and I wanted a refund, he said, «You already ate a lot of salad. No refund! You no like? I throw away for you!» The salad should have been called B-Garbage Bowl. I’m posting photos of the menu and the disgusting thing. Worst and rudest restaurant I’ve encountered in New Haven.

Excellent little spot! I ordered the peanut butter banana smoothie and it was absolutely perfect! I loved that everything was clean and fresh. Very quick and friendly service. No addition the atmosphere itself it great. Quiet and adorably decorated. I wish I wasn’t leaving this city. I could definitely see myself becoming a regular at this quaint café.

The day before the New Haven Road race it seems like everywhere is closed for breakfast. This was a great spot for good coffee and a healthy breakfast. It was a five minute walk from the Omni and was a good ambiance to sit and eat for a while.

Great find! It’s hidden and I wish we would have seen it sooner on our trip. Great food that is pretty healthy and priced pretty decent. Nice treat for someone like me who doesn’t eat junk food and cares about the quality of their food. Very tasty! Quick place to grab a healthy lunch!

My inner California girl can’t go long without a meal of veggies and whole grains and other healthy goodies, and B-natural is a great place to get that. The food itself is not blow-your-mind amazing in terms of flavor and if I had access to my own fully-stocked kitchen, I could probably make things that suited my tastes more. But that being said, this is a fantastic place to come for hearty salads and grain bowls and all those other virtuous eats, since that doesn’t seem to be a thing on the east coast as much.

Excellent coffee and gelato drink, however very unaware of celiac disease and what contains gluten even after I checked everything prior to ordering. They put bread on top of the salad, then took it off and said it was ok. Also salad only contained half of listed ingredients and wilted lettuce(no kale, spinach, broccoli, hummus or chick peas). They apologized and remade the salad, still missing these ingredients from menu.

Love this little unassuming place tucked away in an alley off Chapel Street. Lots of tasty, healthy choices. Really enjoyed my salad(avocado and turkey), and will probably come back to try more of their extensive menu. They seem to serve their breakfast menu all day which is great for people who love breakfast foods all the time(myself included).

Went for lunch with a local business client. My stomach had not been good for the previous few days. I needed some protein so I ordered the Peanut Butter/Banana smoothie. It also included blueberries. It was very tasty. The large smoothie was great and left me with no hunger for the afternoon.

B-Natural Café was previously known as Woodland Coffee & Tea(see reviews for this location here ). As before, they also have an outpost at 1044 Chapel St. From a quick glance at the menu, it seems that the offerings are more or less the same as before and the ownership has not changed. I still really enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere, as well as the large tea selection. I’ve posted a photo of the coffee menu as of 10÷9÷14 since that is information I always want to have but that is surprisingly hard to glean from google/yelp.(Unfortunately you can’t make out the prices on the resized version of this photo since they are so faint, but at least you can see the offerings.) Credit card min is $ 5.
