Joey’s Barber Shop

I won’t go anywhere else. These guys not only know what they are doing, but they are all nice guys. Sometimes the wait is long, especially if you want to wait specifically for one of the barbers. But while you wait, I’m sure the guys will make you laugh. But the wait is long because the price is great and you won’t get a better cut anywhere else. And no where else can you learn that grocery stores sell cotton candy flavored grapes!

Don’t listen to the bad reviews, this place is legit. The volume of business that they do is a testament to the quality and value of their haircuts. Sure, sometimes the wait can be long, that’s what happens when they do a good job! Don’t hold it against them because they’re busy. I usually go to Joey simply because he knows my haircut, but Ethan, Bill, and Richie have all done my hair it’s before and all did a very good job. Can’t beat a haircut for $ 10!

Great barber shop i have taken my son to this barbershop for over 6 yrs the owner is very nice to everyone all the operators are very polite and all are very good barbers ! you will be very happy with your hair cut ! five stars all the way

Always a great time going there. good atmosphere, clean, and respectful workers also very friendly. they all have great sense of humor. They make sure everything is done exactly how you want it and great prices. I wont go anywhere else

Stay away from these people are rude d bags they sent us away when we asked for a hair books. They were very gruff and inhospitable.. They kicked me my son and my grandpa out of there.

This place is kick ass. If you want a barber that cuts good hair and aren’t worried about getting your nails done like Mr 1 star Josh that obviously got a little to much mommy time this is the place to go. I’ve gone there the last 3 years as well as all the other guys I work with (active duty military just so you know joshyboo) when there are no kids in there yeah boys will be boys and talk like they are in a locker room but when there children the conversations stay clean. I will miss the guys and my weekly visit to Bill to get my ears lowered when I get back to the 5 minute haircuts from a mute back on base. Oh one more thing since my sweet little Josh needed to mention he was a veteran they do a flag raising on memorial day and veterans day because they are very pro military… Merica! If you want some stories of the good ol days in the military make sure you spend your wait time (all things good aren’t instant… ever had McDonald’s?) Make sure to ask the guy with the purple heart hat in the office to school you up. If your still reading you owe me a favor… go get a cut at joeys and keep an eye out for this Josh guy so you can kick him in his vagina. Oh one more thing screw you Josh!

I noticed a guy at LifeTime Gym consistently had a nice fade, I finally asked him where he got his haircut and he suggested Joey to me. Boy am I grateful, I had been driving to Detroit to have my son’s haircut for more than a year. They were really nice when I called to inquire about an appointment. No need, all walk-​in. Even better. We went on a busy Saturday and were still out of there in under an hour. Joey cut my son’s hair, and he absolutely loves it. But as I sat and watched, I noticed that all the barbers were pretty good.

Great place! I always take my sons here now. I used to go to Great Clips, and their haircuts always turned out the same. At Joey’s they give you exactly what you ask for. And the barbers all have a good sense of humor, and remember who their return customers are.

Hands down best barber shop in the metro Detroit area. 8 bucks for an awesome hair cut.

Great old fashioned barber shop that caters to anybody and everybody that walks in. Price is great: $ 8! Nice décor, great bunch of barbers. This is what barber shops used to be.
