Off the beaten path, in the building that once housed Humphrey’s restaurant sits the Park Place East. I found this place on and was a bit concerned when I found their website down and their phone number on here disconnected, but I was able to get in touch via their Facebook page and I’m glad I did. A friendly staff and some terrific food were what we got when we went to Park Place East last week. We started with a bunch of appetizers. The wings were good, though not great, with the terriyaki being the clear favorite over the bbq and the garlic parm varieties. The fried green beans and fried veggie platter were both huge hits, with a batter that was absolutely delicious. Moving into unoriginal waters, we ALL had the chicken and waffles. 4 pieces of dark meat and 2 waffles. It was my first time eating this dish and I enjoyed it, but I think it would have been much better if they had used the same batter on the chicken as they did on the veggies and maybe thrown a breast in there. It was good, but it could have been great. The waffles were perfectly done and delicious. The only dessert was a chocolate cake, made by the manager and it was light and tasty, a perfect counterpoint to all the fried food. One thing I noted after reading other reviews was some said that the alcoholic drinks were light on the booze. Let me assure you, that was not the case at all. The oversized shot I had was perfect and my lovely wife’s drink was as strong as it should be, maybe even a drop more so. I’ll definitely be back to Park Place East again.

Service was alittle slow and the waitress was not completely knowledgeable of the menu, however they are new so it’s understandable. The atmosphere and definitely the food made up for it. Ordered the Cajun Rub wings and BBQ wings, some of the best wings I’ve had in a long time. The blackened Salmon was also excellent. Although I would suggest to management that they improve on their variety of sides, pretty much all starches, add more vegetables. Speaking of vegetables the fried vegetables side was excellent, usually served as a last minute side before the vegetables go bad but when done with fresh vegetables they are very good. Will definitely go back.

ok lets start with a very disorganized limited menu. Then what is on menu may not even be available because there is anew chef who doesn’t make what the old chef made and your waitress wont tell you that until yopur food arrives missinghalf of what was supposed to be there… Customer service is NON exsistant! The women working there have no more clue as to who they work for, what the restaurant serves then what is going on in your living room. Food display was horrible, cheese was nasty, only alcohol available is what you would expect to find at corner bar in an urban area that only accommodates a certain clientele. if it isn’t henny or tequila you are out of luck. Never to return. oh did I mention a parking lot full of broken glass to park on

I wouldn’t give this restaurant any stars but have no choice. The menu is very, very limited. No good bar apps to be had here. Sunday afternoon visit and was the only customers. Our waitress was very nice but not knowledgeable in what is no longer available. Story was there is a new chef and menu changes are on the way. If that is the case, then don’t give patrons the current one to order from. We paid for one of our two meals and left our terrible meals on the table. Will definitely not give this place another chance.
