I had been craving a Big Mac after seeing the President eat one on his plane. I searched«best McDonalds NYC,» and this unique location came up in the search. It looked cool from the photos of the outside so if I was going to choose to go to a McD’s why not go to the best? This former mansion is cool from the outside, but that’s where it stops. I pulled into the parking lot to find a car just randomly stopped in the middle of the entrance lane, and lots of beat up garbage cars parked out front. Indepedence, Ohio has a beautiful two story McDonalds that is very fancy, and after walking into this location, Indepedence is by far the better specialty restaurant. This location was old and beat up on the interior. Dirty, uncomfortable lighting, beat up ceiling tiles, just a bad experience. Ordering was a challenge. A woman cut me in line but I let it go. The cashier was bad, her coworkers even worse. One called the wrong order number and my order went to an unsuspecting kid. He realized their error and handed me the bag admitting he already ate a few fries. Thankfully the cashier realized her coworker’s error and had them remake both my order and the kid’s order. Location clearly not worth the drive. I’d have had a better chance finding a cleaner, more modern location closer to the city than hiking out to this restaurant purely for it’s crumbling infrastructure and old fashioned charm. Big Mac was pretty damn good. Fries were nasty in a good way. Coke mix didn’t taste right.

good shakes, bad service. would have given 4 stars but the cashier wanted to uncharge me .50 cents for an extra honey mustard. Now if thats not price gouging i don’t know what is! There is also a great room for birthday parties, were having my sons sweet sixteen here and boy is he excited! can’t wait. pros– the fries are to die for, cons — The mcrib…

Pretty fancy McDonalds, except I think the building is haunted. If you ever thought that a McDonalds couldn’t be a dinner date location, this one will prove you wrong. Great fries!

Have you seen the pictures of this place? If you have, you should have already been here by now. It’s typical McDonald’s food. The same food you could get at any one of millions of McDonald’s around the world. But that’s not why you come here. Heck, don’t even order anything while you’re here. Stand back and admire the historic architecture of the Denton House. Take a few pictures. Maybe even some selfies. This place is a landmark.

Whoah. Is that a McDonalds in a mansion? I didn’t even want McDonalds until we drove by this location and then I screamed, we must check it out! The parking lot was pretty full when we pulled in(I’m guessing a pretty popular location) and so we found parking on the side. When we walked in, the place looks like the interior of the house(a pretty house that is) with seating on the sides with loads of lighting. The cashier was on the left of the house. There was no line when I was there and I ordered soft serve in a cone. I didn’t really look at the menu but my boyfriend pointed out to me they had mozzarella sticks(I wished I saw that because I would want to try that) and I’m guessing their dollar menu is a bit limited. After I ordered my soft serve, I gave them my credit card without them asking for it and later found out that a soft serve in a cone here is $ 1.29. Other locations I’ve been to have the soft serve on their dollar menu so I was a bit surprised when I saw that it was not a dollar here. I’m not sure if all their prices are a bit higher but their soft serve is. Would I come here again? Meh. A McDonalds is a McDonalds and after seeing this location once, I don’t feel the need to come here again.

Other than it’s looks which since I’ve lived here my whole life I’ve seen it enough and i get that it’s a land mark… but anyways. Other then that this place sucks. You better make them repeat your order at least 3 times… the manager i dealt with can hardly speak english… i ask for dr pepper… she just stares at me like i have five heads. Have had several complaints about them just blatantly not paying attention… not being able to understand orders and myself having to make sure they get it right and even sometimes then they still mess up.

EVERY single time I come here, they never fail to completely forget something or mess up my order. Year after year after year, nothing has changed. I never have a good experience here. The person taking my order will even read it back to me, and something is still not correct or missing. I don’t know when they’ll get their act together. Also, service here is incredibly slow. Don’t come here. Go to the location in Mineola on Jericho Turnpike instead.

Who couldn’t love the McMansion? Typical McDonalds fare, but definitely a unique location. The dining areas are always clean. The 2nd floor is rarely accessible. Overall a better than average McDonalds experience.

The service was extremely poor. The short young man had such bad attitude. Can’t wait for them to install kiosk at this location! And the food was not hot enough. One star for the hot coffee that my grandparents enjoyed. My family and I always drive by and this was our first time inside of this beautiful mansion, but don’t see a reason to return.

Star only for the looks of the place. No star for the service and for not having the current toys for happy meals. Every time I go here to get happy meals for my kids they always give me the old toys — either transformer or Ronald McDonald in a bike. My kids always get disappointed with their happy meals

Came in for lunch the other day and I got myself two mcdoubles with bacon and no pickles and end up getting charged for the bacon but, it wasn’t on it and the pickles was added to when I even reminded them while paying. I was told everything was perfect so I took their word and it was just terrible service not the type of employees to have.

A MUST see. This mcdonalds looks like it is built into a mansion. If your in the area and in the mood for a burger it’s worth just coming to see this place. You will never see a mcdonalds like it. They have pictures of the history of the location scattered about, showing how it used to be general store more than 100 years ago, and snapshots of what happened in between then and now. Upstairs is usually roped off with a velvet rope. they have a bar but geared for children. I think its they weirdest thing I’ve ever seen but very cool. This upstairs area with the soda bar has a TV and other kid oriented stuff. I have seen many children’s birthdays held in this location and if your looking for that kind of thing I believe it is a very affordable option. My parents always used to throw my birthdays at McDonald’s when I was a kid but never at this location. Only downsides are that there is no ironically soda fountain, and don’t give re-fills

Aesthetically the best McDonalds I’ve ever been in; a couple of my friends seeing it for the first time were blown away, on one occasion. Good atmosphere inside, never had problems with food, and good customer service.

This is a really cool looking place! It’s looks like a big White House, the food is almost always hot and fresh. And you get one free refill per visit! Staff is kind of friendly. No place to play…

Both stars are for the aesthetics of this McDonalds. Zero stars for food and service. Been here quite a few times since it opened, but the last time I visited, the food we were served was not hot or fresh. In particular, this location was testing mozzarella sticks at the time, so I ordered some. They felt and tasted like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time, terrible. My other big complaint was, the self serve condiment station was almost completely bare forcing customers to have to ask at the counter for just about everything besides ketchup. It’s really sad that they don’t even try to live up to their«McMansion» nick name.

My dad is getting up in age. It’s getting hard for him to make the stairs by himself and we can’t be at home at all times of the day. It’s time to move good ol’ dad into a retirement home… We searched high and low all over Long Island. Until we came into this location. And what a location it is. Gorgeous, welcoming and warm. If you really feel like you need to eat McDonald’s for some reason, then make sure you come to this one so you can tell people you’ve been to the fanciest McDonald’s in America. Other reasons to come to this one include the extremely nice and friendly staff, which is completely unheard of in NYC, and the fact that they give you free refills on soda. McDonald’s fries have been, and always will be, some of the best ever, fast food joints and overpriced fancy restaurants included. Wait for a fresh batch to come out, and hate yourself as you zone out and eat every single crispy one within seconds. Also, those new mighty wings aren’t terrible. This was good for my one McDonald’s fix for every 10 years, see you in another decade.

Pretty neat and probably the best McDonald’s property in the east coast. The food is standard like all other franchises. Lots of annoying teenagers ordering from the dollar menu. Disappointed there wasn’t a ball pit. I can’t take my nieces and nephews to experience what I had when I grew up.
