Stopped in a few times during a week stay in NO with my girlfriend. Environment was great. The drinks were creative and good. We got there right when they opened one evening before the crowd showed up. Stopped in again another evening during a busier time. Good experience on both visits.

Great bar but lacked weekday entertainment. It would’ve been nice to have a band or performer playing besides the sounds of the off key saxophone street performer outside. We probably would have stayed longer which would’ve = more $ spent. Drinks were amazing though. I had a Sazerac and my wife had a French 75.

This place was just cool. Small venue and generally I don’t like live music but this felt very old school, jazzy without being too artsy, with really nice drinks. Had a Moscow mule here and i could taste the ginger so distinctly. Also the band that was playing was quite talented one guy was playing the clarinet and sax at the exact same time. Not too many seats and very small. But worth stopping by to listen to the music and grab a drink. Definitely a cut above those other gross bourbon street bars — clean, nice drinks, no one puking or stumbling around. I would def tell any friends coming to the French quarter to stop by here for a chill drink.

An intimate setting with friendly servers, good cocktail options, and some very good live music. They only have two outdoor tables so you need some goo luck to land one of these gems.

Awesome music, small but efficient bar, sometimes standing room only. BUT, worth the time to catch some great local music and great bartenders.

So this place is tiny but very high in the cool factor meter and they had a great blues band the night we were here. My only gripe is such limited and uncomfortable seating and the slightly pretentious bartender.

So we grabbed a few drinks on way to and from dinner here at 21st Amendment. Loved the small three piece band and of course the drinks and bar service. In fact they have a nice selection of drinks and a nice sofa tugged away towards the back of the bar. Great spot to sit and enjoy without being in the crowd. Will stop in here during each trip to NO.

I stumbled on this place as I was looking for someone where else to eat. The other place was too rowdy for me. This place is elegant but yet casual. The food was good and the beer was beer lol I would come here again but it isn’t cheap but it isnt super expensive.

Really nice bar here with mixologists and fine music. The décor is fancy-ish but the atmosphere is fun. It’s very close to Bourbon Street but lacks the bluster and crazy crowd. They show a film without sound as a distraction and we caught one of the disturbing scenes from Goodfellas(in case you were wondering).

Bar far my favorite bar in New Orleans. Beautiful 1920’s décor. Fantastic Jazz bands played all four nights we came by. Great space for dancing. Wonderful taste in movies playing behind the bar. They were playing American Gangster the first night, and other equally good choices the following nights. The bartenders here have so much talent, and wonderful variety of booze, herbs, spirits, fruit & veggies to work with. The bartenders were champions of my favorite drinking game«here’s some things I like, and surprise me». Not only did they surprise me, but they were dangerous drinks. Ones that sneak up on you, because they taste so lovely and innocent, but they certainly are not. We love you Amendment 21! 2016 #28

Some of my buddies that live out here in Louisiana recommended to meet here at 21st Ammendment and came out with a group of friends to check it out. Once we got here it was shocking how nice the bar was based on the Bourbon St experience. Went up to the bar and asked for a drink menu that had a very nice selection of your higher end drinks to sip and enjoy. Bar tenders take pride and time on making each drink that is rare to find. Anyways experience was great if you want to lounge and enjoy a drink with good service and ambiance. Highly recommend.

Good location. Close to bourbon street. Glad we were told about this bar. If your looking for a bar without the rowdy crowd and loud dj this is a good spot. It’s small with only a few seats at the bar, few tables and one tiny little room. We got lucky and sat in the room. Perfect for our group of 7. There was a band playing which was nice. I had the shandy #2. So good!

This place is great. They had a live jazz band when we got there and everyone was real nice. We sat in the back room that sat 8 people and had some drinks. The drinks were quality made and were inexpensive. Recommended for sure. It’s right off bourbon St and iberville.

I was in search for a great bar with great drinks and live music and near my hotel, so I was so happy to find this place. The first drink that I got on my first visit was the Frenchy made with strawberry vodka, sugar, lemon juice and champagne and what a great cocktail. My boyfriend got the Evangeline made with gin, blackberry liqueur, lemon juice, orange juice, vanilla and egg white… OMG this one was my favorite of the night. Don’t get me wrong they make really good drinks but this one was my favorite by far and we did have some other drinks that night too. I liked the place so much that I returned the next night again and this time the bartender offered to make me a drink after I said how much I liked the ones the night before. She said she can make me a custom drink based on flavors I like. My drink was delicious and it had gin and mint leaves and was so good. The drinks can be a bit costly but I don’t mind spending a lot on cocktails if I know they are going to be delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful and far from the crazy scene along Bourbon Street. The place is classy and comfortable and the owner is super friendly and she there every night with her friendly smile. And she has local jazz bands play every night and she takes pride in only having bands that are really talented. The place is small and have nice red walls and cozy tables to watch the band. If you want to sit in a more private area, they also have a small room with couches. This is definitely going to be a place I will miss once I return home to Florida; Really wish we had a place like this back home. If you’re ever in this area and want to stay away from the crazy loud areas, then come and enjoy nice live music with amazing cocktails here at 21st Amendment.

First time in back on 1÷17÷16 prior to attending the YEE:2016 Meet & Greet at the Pere Marquette… had noticed this place before and wanted to check it out. Fortunately was able to when a large party of friends were in NOLA for a 21st birthday party of one of their daughters… they wanted the Carousel but I told them it wasn’t happening due to SRO crowd and I suggested here or Patrick’s Bar Vin… they chose here and I was able to join… The bartendress was excellent and friendly even though she got jammed with 8 women all wanting a craft cocktail… She handled the rush like a pro and by rush I mean there were maybe 4 people in the place when the party and myself descended on her… Has a nice comfortable atmosphere and a small room in back with couches that looks to seat up to 9… very good experience and if your looking for a chill place for a cocktail and some conversation with friends I’d highly recommend you give this place a try…

BESTBAREVER! I love this place. It was the most fun I had in NOLA. I had bookmarked it because of the name and we were going around the time the amendment passed. We turned the corner and saw a long line of flappers. I was overjoyed. We stood in the line for a moment and tried to figure out if there was an entry. I decided to just walk up to the gentleman in the nice suit and ask. He reply there usually is and if I told him a joke he might let me in for free. I proceeded to tell him a joke about Adele and saying Hello and I was in, but I also need to get 4 others in. So we made a deal. I would call them over and they too would have to tell a joke. They then told a joke about a Christmas tree and needles and we were stamped and in. I was unreal. It’s like we walked into the 1920’s. The music, the drinks, and the people. It was incredible. We watched the dancing and the band play some cool music. I also learned how to swing dance. We also talked to a security guard and found an awesome place to eat near by. Me and my fellow bro decided to go back and had some of their specialty drinks. He couldn’t handle the Patricide Sazerac so I gave him my Port of Iberia. Both were amazing. I highly recommend checking this place out, and if you have it even try to dress for the occasion.

It’s a basic speakeasy bar that’s more low key than the other bars and lounges in the French Quarter. The setup is much cleaner, warmer, cozier, and comfortable. The live music is a perfect backdrop. Because of the tight space, you may have to walk in front of the guitarist in order to exit because there’s nowhere else to escape. No one seems to mind. The service was a little slow but half the fun is watching them craft the drinks in front of you. 21st is where you go when you want that private, classy, exclusive feel to a lounge bar that makes tasty, refreshing cocktail drinks an art, as well as interacting amongst nicely-dressed patrons.

21st is one of my favorite bars in New Orleans for hand crafted cocktails. This is a real cocktail bar with live jazz, intimate setting with a VIP room for lounging(first come first serve), and excellent service. Eddie is my favorite bartender of Nawlins’. He takes his time but still can carry a conversation at the same time. He made me a killer old fashioned with enough bitter and alcohol to keep me pumped. He’s professional and knowledgable. He definitely made a great impression; I have to take friends here next time! Thanks Eddie!

Having been to NOLA quite a few times already, you can see repetition in the types of bars you’ll find in the Quarter. Considering my travel companion isn’t really a fan of walking like I am, I wanted to find a good cocktail place in the Quarter that served craft cocktails, not cocktails out of a large cooler or slurpee-type machine. Thanks to Unilocal,I found 21st Amendment! While it’s super close to Bourbon Street, it doesn’t have that sloppy Bourbon St. vibe, thank goodness! It’s got that 1920s speakeasy décor(duh, 21st Amendment!), but most importantly, LIVEMUSIC. We went on Saturday night when a blues group was playing(damn I forgot their name!)and it was awesome! Really though, I came here for the drinks. Now I’m a Whiskey gal, so I asked for La Louisiane… and oooo, it was strong! I’m pretty sure I grew hair on my chest after that one(no worries, I actually didn’t). We ended up staying in there for about 3 hours. Definitely a place you’d want to end the night, because when we left out of there, we were(or at least I was) too drunk to last very long at Frenchmen Street. Oops. But a great time was had. It’s got a super chill vibe. The bartenders are great, and they were all VERY good looking… which is a nice bonus. Haha! I will most definitely be back.

21st Amendment is all about good, old-fashioned class. If they could make the entire bar monochrome, I bet they would. Darn those rhodopsins. I came looking to try a Sazerac in New Orleans, but wasn’t near fancy enough to go to The Sazerac Bar. You could practically see the bartender’s eye twitch as I walked in with running shorts, a tank top, and a backpack, but luckily being right off Bourbon St. I’m far from the taboo end of the quirky character spectrum.(Sorry! I promise if there’s a next time I’ll dress appropriately.) So as I sat down to the snazzy beats of the vintage-inspired band Albanie Falletta and The Southern Gentlemen, I fixated on Mac’s($ 12) Sazerac. You have several good options upon ordering a drink. A) Watch the old(yes, black and white) film being played behind the bar. It’s on mute, but subtitles are on! B) Watch the bartender make your drink(bonus points if he/she’s doing two cocktails at once). C) Watch the band play and bob your head like a cool cat. The bartenders are good at what they do, and they even make their own fruit infused vodka! The artist line-up can be found at , and I really enjoyed the lively string set by Albanie and the Gentlemen. Way better than the off-key ruckus going on at Wednesdays at the(Lafeyette) Park. And the setting is much more intimate. In fact I’d say less than 20 people could fit in here comfortably at the bar and high cocktail tables. I was tempted to try more of their signature cocktails, but dinner was calling and the band went on break. Also, there was the fact that I didn’t feel like dropping another $ 10 on a drink. A pit stop at the bathroom, a mere ten steps away behind a white door with a «Vacant/Reserved» lock, was a very tight, cozy affair. For some reason, the wall behind the toilet was left unpainted — for reasons you can ponder as you stare at it in the mirror.
