Stopped in while on vacation. I was looking for a good local place for breakfast(didn’t want something I could find at home) and I found one. I had the pecan pancakes and they were so delicious! The waitress who was extremely nice and helpful suggested them. I don’t think you can go wrong with and any of their pancakes. Oh and I had a peach mimosa that was also equally delicious!

I highly recommend for breakfast snd a patently do does everyone else. We always have a 20 – 30 minute wait… and sometimes more if later. Worth the wait. Great service once you get in! Sometimes alittle hard to get the check. Otherwise a five!

I was excited of coming here, reviews are really good, but the truth they are not fair enough. Their staff is friendly. Service is great. My waitress Ashley G was very knowledgable and she made me take the right choices. It was a hard decision choosing breakfast. She recommended her favorite between my 2 final choices… Seafood Benedict, and cheese grits! After all I’m at New Orleans. All I can say is… This is Heaven’s food!!! It was the perfect choice. The cheese grits had the perfect texture and they melted at my mouth… And the Benedict… oh Lord!!! They were great!!! I wanted to try other places but I think I’m coming again to try my second choice! I have to! If you are in the area, this place is a must!

Staff were super friendly and the food was delicious, and plentiful. We only had breakfast foods but I imagine local dishes are just as amazing.

Quiet place in a charming building with local art adorning the wall and great for people watching by the French Market. While I did not have any of the gumbo(which the sign said was the best in the city), I did enjoy the Fleur De Lis omelet, a large omelet with crayfish, delicious sauce, and that came with hash browns and toast. Service was good, prices were reasonable, and this is a nice place to start your day before hitting the market, or take a break in between to chill and take in the scene.

We visited this café twice during our recent trip to New Orleans. Both times that the food was amazing and the staff was very helpful. I had the seafood benedict. The seafood cakes are heavenly; they are very flavorful. I had it with home fries and those were just OK. The homemade biscuit is everything I could dream of and I wish I had one right now lol! On our second trip I had the shrimp and grits with a croissant on the side. Very yummy! I would recommend this café.

The best southern hospitality I’ve experienced in a very long time. Walking through the door was a breath of fresh air. I was immediately greeted by Kerry; the sweetest lady server with the cutest New Zealand accent. The place is quaint; filled with plenty of tables, jazz photos, mirrors and instruments hanging to adorn the walls. There is an open kitchen, colorful chalked menu boards, and enough staff to make this restaurant flow like an assembly line. I opted for the Banana Pancakes(short stack) which consisted of 2 large cakes in my opinion because I could only eat 1 before I threw in the towel. Let me just say this was the BEST damned pancake I’ve had in my life!!! Super superb!!! Buttermilk so smooth, fluffy, moist & tasty you would definitely slap ya mama. I washed it down with a Mango Mimosa & Black Coffee; both of which were also pretty splendid. Day #2, because one visit to Café Fleur De Lis was not enough, I ordered another banana pancake along with a blueberry pancake(both heavenly). This little NOLA nook has been a true highlight. You MUST experience it for yourself. Thank me later. ~Christy

Came here solo on a Monday afternoon while in town for business. Quick, excellent, friendly service(and niceties that a Northerner like me isn’t used to — like being called«sweetie».) I had a HUGE delicious mocha to satisfy my sweet tooth as well as a big plate of shrimp and cheddar grits. Could only make it through half the plate before I was stuffed full. With a generous tip, my total came to $ 20. Only downside was the upkeep of the restroom.

We decided to try this place for breakfast. Well, breakfast for us, but technically it was brunch by the time we stumbled in. What sold us was the Fleur De Lis OMELET: Bell peppers, onions, provolone topped with a creamy crawfish sauce served with toast — Heavenly! Especially with a side of the Shrimp and Grits, and either a BBQ Shrimp Bloody Mary or a Strawberry Mimosa. The prices are extremely decent, and the staff is lovely.

Ending up coming here after being disappointed at Sobou. Food was pretty good and so was the service. Quick and accurate. My only complaint was the oyster po boy could of had more oysters especially for $ 13.99. I would probably go back just to try the other flavored mimosas. I’ll pass on the Bloody Mary.

On a christmas day, we found a long waiting line… what are the odds. I decided to spend the time helping my daughter chase pigeons and piss them enough for them to fly away. We already knew what we wanted so when we sat, we ordered. I ordered the french toast and my wife ordered the shrimp and grits. She always has a craving for shrimp and grits, so she went for it. The staff were just awesome, They took turns keeping our daughter busy so we can have a good meal. Our neighbors did their part too. I didn’t like the French toast at all and the Shrimp and Grits was a disappointment. I was thinking to myself, I am having a 3-star experience. One of the waitress accidentally dropped some food on my wife. She immediately apologized and offered my wife a drink on the house, She ordered the peach mimosa and she really enjoyed it. We were planning to order more food but before we could decide on anything, the waitress dropped the check. Both of us don’t like that. So back to 3-stars ! Bottomline: Expect mixed experience from their staff and decent food.

One of the few places that was open on Christmas day, which also meant most people were trying to eat their brunch here. We had a long wait, but they had an app which was sending txt msges once the table was ready. Once Seated, we ordered our food right away. We ordered the shrimp and grits, French toast & farmer’s omlet. Coming from the Carolinas, I’ve tasted a lot of shrimp & grits. When reviewers raved about the shrimp n grits here, I had high standards and unfortunately that wasn’t quite met. The grits was good, however I felt the gravy or topping could be better. French toast was good but didnt blow my mind. The farmer’s omlet was good. While we were dining, there was an accident and a waitress lost balance and some dirty dishes fell near me. However she was very apologetic and offered me a free drink. I chose the peach mimosa and found it to be delicious. One thing that didnt come across right was, it was a busy day but it seemed like we were being rushed. Just after ordering grits n French toast Our waitress placed our cheque on the table. We were planning on ordering more food & had to ask for a new cheque. So it seemed like we got both nice n hmmm not so nice experience from the staff.

Decent breakfast spot … The menu online does not match the menu in the restaurant though, so if you were planning on the awesome looking veggie panini(or any panini for that matter), you are out of luck. The Unilocal app also turned this place up in a search for beignets/pastries, but I found none of those here either. I ended up with french toast… In NO they call it «Pain Perdu». It was okay. The side of hash browns were my favorite part. Perfectly crispy and salty! My friend had the shrimp and grits, said it was pretty good. It was also a hefty portion and she couldn’t quite finish it. Not a bad spot overall. Seated quickly. Super friendly staff.

What a wonderful New Orleans breakfast. I love the light that enters this restaurant in the late morning. It’s so peaceful. The host and our waitress were both charming and made us feel at ease. We had the Seafood Benedict and Sweet Cream Cakes with bananas. A cup of orange juice and a much needed generous cup of New Orleans coffee. The Benedict was light, flavorful and full of good quality seafood. My pancakes were delicious and fresh. Melt-in-your-mouth type of pancakes. Our breakfast was heavenly. Love this place.

Our wait was short since we arrived just before 10:30 am; the earlier you can get here, the quicker you will get in. Everything here is good, but my favorite items are the creamy grits(with you choice of among four cheeses) and the boudin sausage. I long for that sausage again… Pro tip: take them up on their offer of refilled coffee-to-go!

This place had a short line waiting outside so I expected it to be good. It was, but waiting sucks when you see empty tables inside this small place. Fortunately if you want to come, download the app called«no wait» and on your way over check in your party. We were quoted a 15 – 20 min wait for 2 people but it was actually quicker and only 10mins. They’ll text you when your table is ready. Service is friendly and fast but I’d think a food runner and bus boy/girl would help clear the tables much quicker. We saw the hostess clearing tables by herself while trying to take down names. Food portions are huge so I’d suggest sharing. I got the eggs, cheesy grits, and Cochon breakfast. My husband got the eggs and pancake meal. He managed to finish the pancakes because he said they were so light and delicious. Coffee comes in a giant mug. Biscuits are the size of the plate and pretty good too. Everything in our meal was delicious.

Found this café thanks to my fellow Unilocalers after walking to café beignet and realizing it was an order at the counter type of joint and we were going to have to go hunger games to find a table. We beat the rush @ 9 am on a Sunday … Keep in mind places in Nola are often small so you might have to wait. Their menu had your standard breakfast items … Plus the favorite shrimp and grits. I went with the breakfast sandwich and a side of hash … Who doesn’t like a breakfast sandwich after a night of drinking on Bourbon street. Boyfriend went with the standard eggs, hash, pancakes breakfast. The coffee was hot and came in big oversized mugs which I just LOVE(is that a girl thing?). Had a bite of my boyfriends pancakes and they were DELICIOUS I was sad that they didn’t have beignets on their menu as I’ve been to Nola many times and have never had one… ;(also I overheard her offering biscuits to the table next to us as a substitute … HEY I LIKE BISCUITs ;(I would have paid the extra dollar too Overall we had a good experience here and it is nearby bourbon street and popular hotels like Hotel Monteleone.

Walked into this place for brunch on our last day in New Orleans and we were glad we did. The hostess greeted us right away and took our names and numbers down so she could msg us when our table was ready. Monday, so the wait wasn’t long at all. maybe 10mins? Our server was friendly, made us laugh, and very attentive. I ordered the Bacon Bloody Mary, which was so good with a smokey flavor and the right amount of spiciness to it. Try it! Probably one of the best Bloody Mary I’ve tried. Boyfriend ordered Irish coffee and was too weak to handle it. jk it was really really really strong so he ended up ordering a regular coffee to mute it down. The banana and blueberry pancakes were delicious and fluffy. Seafood Benedict was good, wish it came with more hollandaise sauce. Fluer de lis omelet was so good and satisfying. My only real complaint is that the table we were seated at was way too small and I had a hard time eating due to no arm space since it was right against the wall in a tight space. Will definitely return

3 words: Shrimp and grits. Recently vacationed to NOLA and the food was definitely the highlight of the trip. This little gem was definitely a frontrunner when it came to eateries. Located right across from our hotel, it’s a small, but charming restaurant that specializes in bangin ass breakfast. We started with delicious strawberry and peach mimosas. My friend doesn’t like to try new things and went with the shrimp and grits and had no regrets whatsoever. I love trying new things and loved every bite of the cheddar cheesy delicious dish served with a warm homemade biscuit. My friend went with eggs benedict but with a NOLA twist served on warm biscuits and she got the bread pudding which isn’t really my thing but it was great too. The service was great and they gave us to go cups for our unfinished drinks. Take a trip to New Orleans if you aren’t there already and get the shrimp and grits. Tell them Dom sent you. Jk don’t they won’t have any idea who I am…
