Very cool bar! It’s a smaller space with a mix of customers (locals, visitors and regulars) but everyone seemed to be laid back and friendly. The bartender Delgado is so funny and will take good care of you

Loved this place! An awesome bar with awesome people. This was the first place we came when we landed in NOLA and they were so welcoming. The bartender made me 2 drinks I’ve never had before and they were yummy. A very friendly environment, no nonsense. We visited this bar several times during our 4 day stay in New Orleans and even chose to watch the SuperBowl game here.

Greatest hole in the wall on St. Charles. Doesn’t take themselves too seriously, but they operate with class. A couple of beers here will have you stuntin’ like your daddy.

Evangeline is a pretty cool bar with live music.
It wasn’t that long ago that I realized that I had been to nearly every bar in Uptown New Orleans. While trying to figure out a new place to go, I stumbled upon this place. I never thought about any bars other than Avenue Pub when I was in this area, so when I discovered Evangeline, I knew I had to check it out.
the bar is long and narrow with the bar on one side, video poker on the other and a stage at the end of the building. The night I visited a patron told me about a $ 2 beer special so that is the direction I went. There is something very cool about listening to a band and drinking $ 2 Abita. Unfortunately that rarely happens, so when it does, I really appreciate it.
Even without the cheap beer, I think Evangeline is a bar where I could see myself becoming a regular.

I used to come to this place years and years ago when it was a dive bar that played Soulja Boy every single time you set foot in that place. I swear, that dude was that place’s mascot. Anyway, Evangeline II is A LOT better than that.
Evangeline has a nice cozy feel to it, and although it’s small, it still has an area for a band to perform. The night we came there was a pretty cool cover band on stage. They have a really good beer selection and I was happy that there was a lot of seating at the bar. The bartender seemed really friendly and laid back and was really good about being prompt with our order.
I definitely like this place as a laid back place to catch a band on the Avenue. It has a good atmosphere and a friendly vibe.

Nice place to be ignored by rude drunk bartenders. I’ve seen the tattooed bartender spill drinks on herself, drop bottles, fall down behind the bar, make out with some patrons and yell at others for not tipping enough. I’ve given it several chances and will not be back.

My band MoonShyn played there as an Acoustic Act featuring just my wife, Tracey Anne-​Jolie and her Co-​Lead Singer, Corey Michael for a couple of weekends back in February right before Mardis Gras. Great owners to play for and had a great time entertaining the patrons. Would definitely go back if they asked us to play again!

Pretty place, had a litle trouble getting the bartender’s attention for a drink but no bigger…
They had a little ameteur show that night, some magical wonders, most good, some were really good… a slight bit unorganized but it was all good. I enjoyed myself, hey no one is perfect.. .. .
I would go back and have some more fun. .

Awesome bar!!! It use to be Whiskey Dix, which was a dive bar. They scrub the place clean, kicked out the bums and now it’s an upscale bar off the Avenue!!! Great bartenders, good peeps and a awesome place to watch a game. It’s sister bar is Evangeline in Mid-​City!
