Delicious quiche and pastries. Great for a light breakfast. I will definitely be back to try the breads. The outdoor seating is great for early morning coffee and Danish or muffin.

Gave this place a try because the place I went to right before it didn’t have any chocolate croissants, and I was dead set on having one for breakfast. You can imagine my delight when I walked in to this place and saw they had one left. Too bad it was extremely stale– must have at least been 3 days old. Not cool! How are you going to serve someone a dried out croissant in the French Quarter? If I hadn’t already been back at my hotel room before I tried it, I would have admonished them in person. Boo hiss.

Beautiful site, friendly staff. That’s where the positives ended for us. Coffee was nothing special and pastries were over-priced for the size and quality.

Adorable little place nestled amongst cool, unique shops! This was very close to our hotel. We strolled right in and had a wonderful experience. We were greeted immediately with a smile. Our party had all sorts of coffee, including the praline one, and everyone was very happy with them. I had their quiche. I wish it would have been hotter but it was incredible! If you want to skip Starbucks and go for something with a local flavor, this is it!

A large cup of iced mocha frappé, if blended well, should be able to keep you from that exhausted heat under the New Orleans blistering sun and humid weather, so we came in for some air-conditioning and a cup of frozen Joe. We came into the coffee house Sunday afternoon and have a little break from the Bourbon street, while waiting for the tour pick-up. The store was run by a single person. The lady was quite nice, chatted with us the entire time; then again, there weren’t many in the coffee shop except us three. The Frappé was not the best in the world, I personally found it a little bland, but still good all things considered. Interestingly a few moments after we got our drinks a gentleman walked in and asked the shopkeep about the espresso machine sitting at the window sill; I didn’t realize she sell more than just coffee, apparently you can order these machines through her, I guess because she has a business deal of some kind.

Friendly spot, came in and had the best every latte… across from the W. Praline Café Latte OMG — I loved it. I visited NO and didn’t know they love their pralines. I came back the next day before I left to get another fix but their espresso machine was broken. I will never forget the yummiest latte I ever had tho.

It’s nice that this place opens at 7:30. I needed to grab something early on a Sun morning before leaving town. The lady working there was friendly and made me a delicious creole praline latte. Pastries were varied and delicious — whole wheat and almond croissants, various scones and muffins, fruit turnovers and cookies. It was cute inside with tables for sitting and wi-fi, too.

Excellent place to stop after walking the length of Royal from the east end of the Quarter. Bright, cheery, cool, friendly service. Free WiFi. Food: Turkey, bacon, spinach, tomato and avocado wrap — one of the best wraps I’ve ever had: $ 9 Turkey«muffuletta» wrap: $ 10

We work around the corner, and I just had the most amazing massive high-quality Cobb Salad from this place. Coworkers walk down there all the time and pick uplunch but this is my first time ordering, and oh my lord it’s deee-licious! Fresh spinach, crispy bacon, grilled chicken, and a heap of freshly-crumbled bleu cheese… it was divine. I got the balsamic vinaigrette dressing; it was really well-blended and not too oily, like a lot of them can be. And I can’t believe I’m so full from a salad. My coworker got this fresh pasta pomodoro thing with and sundried tomatoes and I could her her groaning and slurping with delight from across the room. We’re definitely going back. Kudos!

Who knew it’d be so hard to find a casual café for breakfast in the French Quarter? We stumbled in here looking for food, and were pleased to see the fresh quiches and pastries. I got the spinach quiche, my mom got the mixed veggie, and both were great. My chicory café au lait was great, too. The cashier was super friendly, and it seemed to be all locals inside, all of whom chatted us up!

Came here just because I thought it would be a unique local experience. The coffee here wasn’t great, they’re stingy with wi-fi. You’re better off going to Community Coffee or PJ’s.

Had the white chocolate frappé(don’t see that anywhere else) but was disappointed. It tasted like it came out of a bad mix, so only had a bit of it. My boo had the coffee chicary which wasn’t very good either. Not the best local joint to try out when it comes to good drinks.

Stopped in for a quick and light lunch. The curried butternut squash soup was great. Healthy, light and vegetarian options which can be hard to find in the French quarter.

We were looking for a sit down café to sip on some tea and just surf the internet, since we didn’t want to pay the daily charge at our hotel. We found this place on Unilocal stating that it had free wifi. We got there and there was no one in the café at 1pm in the afternoon. Went inside and the cashier didn’t greet us, she just stood there, not even asking how she can assist us. So we stood there for 5 minutes in silence while we screening the menu on the wall. We finally decided to order our drinks, and then after paying, we asked about the wifi. She informed us that there is no free wifi from 11am to 3pm! Who puts a time cap on wifi, we are still customers. So bizarre, we left with our drinks in search of another internet café.

On my walk on Chartres to the Williams Research Center I noticed this coffee house in the cold and couldn’t help but stop in for something warm. The staff was very friendly and quick. I got me a yummy hot chocolate which definitely warmed me up! I smelled some wonderful food cooking, which I definitely want to try and pastries along the way as well. Sit down for a moment and enjoy a drink, this little shop will definitely make you feel a little better.

A-ok iced mocha, sullen but efficient service and ability to(sheepishly) charge my $ 4 drink after running myself out of cash on last day of vacation.

Delicious latte. The service in my experience was good too, despite what one of the other reviewers said. Not discounting the other reviewers’ experience… just respectfully disagreeing. They have some other cool options, and its smack dab right in the middle of French quarter. A few of the other reviewers mentioned picking Café la Boucherie over Café Fleur d Lis(they are located directly across from one another on Chartres). I don’t think this is an apples: apples comparison: Fleur d Lis has great food: eggs, biscuits, etc, while Boucherie has amazing coffee and a relaxing atmosphere. This is a bit of a false dichotomy.

Tired of beignets? Try La Boucherie. Good coffee fixed how you want it and excellent pastries. I am partial to the almond croisant. Enjoy the a/c. Sit down and read the paper. Chat with your neighbor. Chat with the barista. That’s what you call vacation.

La Boucherie is absolutely lovely and deceptively large inside. It’s a brasserie that has now turned into a coffee house/lunch spot. In need of a coffee early one morning(9:45am), I stumbled in. I was impressed with my latte and the selection of breakfast pastries. Almond croissants, cinnamon rolls, tarts, quiche, oh my! I ordered my latte to go, but wished I hadn’t once I walked through the shop. There was a nice big room past the long counter. Fireplace, couches, chairs, and a tv. To the left was a nice brick courtyard. To the right, yet another room with more seating options. I also noticed that they served lunch. Soups, sandwiches, and salads mostly. As I had my heart set on another restaurant for lunch. I settled on a coffee and a stroll down Royal. Oh, and if the wonderful location wasn’t enough to relax with a book or friend and a cup o’ joe, they also have free wifi.
