Had a great time at Lafayette Pub and Bistro. James the bartender was fantastic. The food was clever and delicious. Would go back again.

We stumbled upon this place while not wanting to wait an hour for Mothers down the street. This was the right decision. As a starter we tried the fried green tomatoes. Holy moly these puppies were so mouthwatering good. They were impressively fried, but not super greasy or gross. The aioli atop complemented the fried veggies so well and was delicious. Next I tried the most ambitious thing on their menu a head cheese Po’ Boy with fried brussel sprouts. The chef dropped off all of our food and was very friendly and personable. All the food was local as possible and the head cheese was perfect. I had never been able to muster more than a bite of this delicacy before, but the Po Boy was kick ass. The chef explained the long process that goes into creating this unique sandwich and you could taste it in every bite. Do yourself a favor make this newly revamped restaurant a stop when you hit up New Orleans. The food alone makes this place stand out!

This cool little pub /restaurant was attached to my hotel. Apparently the space was recently renovated and I really loved having it so easily accessible for a quick bite /drink before heading out or getting in. The location is great right on the entrance of the Wharehouse District and the food menu was really interesting. Everything I ordered was great — Try the Duck Wings!
