I celebrated my birthday here last weekend. It was a great time. I also do not understand the bad reviews. I wanted to be sure to post my review since I actually had a really good experience. The drinks were excellent. .get the green one with coconut rum… delicious. Our waiter, Chris took great care of our large table. He was very attentive. He answered all of our questions about the menu… it’s true there are no descriptions of the dishes on the menu. The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. The courtyard was beautiful oasis. There are fans and misters to keep it relatively cool on a July night in NOLA. The band was just loud enough so we could talk to each other at the table. I did have trouble calling to make the reservation. I ended up going in person to make it. But the night was great. Give it a try!

I didn’t eat here but I did wonder in on a Saturday night for a few drinks and to hear some live music. It was definitely an older crowd, a nice change from Bourban street and even still a different mood from the rest of Frencman Street. Lots of drink specials and very friendly service(shout out to Shanaz). A young lady was celebrating her bachelorette and was invited to sing a few tunes(and sing she did!). Would definitely return if for nothing other than their Genie’s(drink special) but the service and the music were a definite bonus.

WORSTSERVICEEVER! Bartender was polite at first then rude! He acted like he didn’t recognize us even tho there were only 3 people in the bar area. I speed for a second drink 4 times before getting mad and asking for the check. And of course I even had to wait for that! The place looked fun from the outside, beautiful courtyard and live music. That must be hire they lye in their victims of restaurant nightmares! Save yourself the frustration and head down Frenchman St to The Spotted Cat.

For goodness sake, please bring Mojitos back because this replacement is no bueno! Completely unaware that the amazing Mojitos has been closed for quite some time, we had our hearts set on the delicious Chicken & Waffles brunch as we set off on our journey to the Marigny. Upon arrival, we were approached by the bartender who left his duties to greet us. We were disappointed to learn of Mojitos closing, however, the bartender expressed his sympathy and brought up our hopes by telling us that according to the many people he’s served, he makes the best Mojitos. We told him that we were going to venture out and satisfy our hunger cravings and then come back to try these fabulous Mojitos. And we did. At our return, which couldn’t have been more than an hour or so later, the bartender had no recollection of us at all. We both found this interesting since there were only two other people in the entire restaurant/bar, which was more than the first time we walked in. He took our order. He was completely caught off guard as if he had no memory of telling anyone about his Mojito making skills. He asked us if we wanted the well rum or a grade above, which was Bacardi. My boyfriend asked if we could have a grade above that. The bartender said he would have to go ask someone if they had anything else because he wasn’t well versed in alcohol and proceeded to tell us he’s not a drinker, he’s a smoker. And then it all made sense. He also decided that while on the honesty train, he’d tell us he wasn’t even a bartender. He was just filling in because everyone else who worked there called in and the only drink he knew how to make was a Mojito. Onto the«best Mojito ever»… with the better grade of rum, mind you. If I was looking for a glass of minty, sugar water, I’d say he nailed it. As for the ladies room. well, we learned where the rancid smell that filled the courtyard was coming from. And thank you for the lack of toilet paper and hand towels. I felt like I was in a restroom at a crowded college bar at 2am on a Saturday.

They we’re really trying but, couldn’t deliver. The service was OK, the food was terrible in quality and delivery, it took about an hour for the staff to get food out to our group over the course of an hour.

A couple years ago I had the best mojito of my life here so I thought I would go back for drinks & food. Don’t go here for food!!! Horrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would! We were seated at a table near the live band. Our host asked a busboy to come wipe our table off. When the busboy showed up he goes it looks clean to me and walked away without even wiping it down or emptying the overflowing astray on the table. Shortly after our waiter shows up and tries to get a drink order from us. They are out of so many things he said if we wanted liquor or beer it would be better for us to go to the bar. At the bar I can see plastic cups covering 75% of the beer bottles which is the universal indication they are out of those items. Then we ask about the menu, which is small in itself and has no explanation of what anything is. Several of the items list they are only available on Friday. Then the server rattles off some other items that aren’t available including the boiled seafood which is listed as that nights special. So the extremely limited menu just got cut down to 5 items to choose from and when we asked for an explanation the server didn’t know what anything was or how it was prepared. The menu pictured on the business pictures here is not what we were given — it was a version that didn’t even have all of that! At that point we decided to get up and go elsewhere. Thank god we did because I had the best meal of my life at Alfondo’s down the street. So skip over this place all together and get some real good creole Italian food down the street!

They seriously do not care at all here, at all. Totally annoyed that you’re ordering or want anything. The food is not good either.

Worst service. Worst attitude of staff. They don’t give a sh*t about customers. Food was mediocre. I would not go back. I would recommend staying away unless you want an experience filled with frustration and disappointment.

I don’t know how the other reviewer here could possibly call this the worst restaurant ever– I mean, I’ve been to some really awful restaurants, so maybe my bar is just incredibly low to begin with. I don’t like to think that’s the case, however. A friend who lives in NOLA was a huge Mojito’s fan, so when I was in town last weekend, she suggested we hop over. Unknown to her, Mojito’s had closed and been replaced by Ms. Jean’s(they even still had the Mojito’s signs up). We were sat down right away and I couldn’t help but notice how absolutely lovely the courtyard was. The live band was fantastic and great, although perhaps a teensy bit loud. All conversations had to happen between songs, just because of the volume— some people might see this as a good thing though. My biggest complaint is the menu. Because they were«between menus»(according to our server), they were out of.. .well, a lot of things. We ordered mojitos, but the waitress came back and apologized, saying they were out of mojito supplies. K. We each ordered a house salad, which was really good– although a little strange, as they put pickles on it. For desert, I ordered beignets, but the waitress said they were out. Ok. Weird for a place whose name is literally«Ms Jean’s Famous Blues Burgers and Beginets.» Friend ordered bread pudding(which while a little expensive, was good). The waitress was really friendly, but we did have to wait a while for our check as she was a bit slow. This place has potential, it really does. They need to pull it together though.

The worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Over an hour to get food which was terrible, incompetent servers and a lack of caring for the guest. I would be surprised if it was around in 6 months. They didn’t even bother to remove the sign of the previous restaurant, Mojitos, that’s how little they care.
