If you want a place, «A guy» who is unpretentious, (as I have found most places.“people” in this industry can be…), that works with you, is fair and honest, and more than willing to share information with you, THIS IS THE PLACE. Alex and his wife (co-​owner) are great! Warm, friendly, personable, yet professional. I had checked out a few places on line, and this seemed to be the most reputable one I found. Thank you Unilocal and all reviewers! They did not steer me wrong! The first time I had met with Alex I knew I was in the right place. He made me feel comfortable and most welcomed and not just because I was «business». Took the time to give me the «what’s what» with what I was looking to sell, and didn’t just give me his opinion or what sounded good for HIS benefit. (Meaning he wasn’t trying to pull the wool over my eyes to scam me or what not). He took the time to go to, and review WITH ME «on-​line selling venues» to compare pricing/​value etc.; even made a few phone calls to «confirm and validate» as well. Didn’t make me feel awkward for «needing» to sell my items, and most importantly didn’t disparage, with words or attitude, for opting to hold on to a few pieces in hopes to increase my profit elsewhere, or for specifically coming into the office to meet with me, spending a good amount of time with me, for what ended up to be a very small transaction for him. Needless to say, I have returned more than once. Each and every time the same warm, welcoming, and valued experience. Greets me with hugs and sincere «personal» conversation and interest, not only with «the business at hand».
In short. (I know, too late.) this is THE place to go with confidence that you will not only get a fair, accurate and honest transaction, but a more than pleasant experience as well!!!

Very professional, located in an office building without visibility from the street. They have a secretary, great security, and nice staff. Checked three other places to sell my gold before coming here and this place was the best price by a long shot. Most places would not quote prices over the phone but they were happy to do so. They only work by appointment, but the wait was well worth it. Anytime I need to sell any gold, coins, or diamonds this is the only place I will ever go. Do yourself a favor and go to New Orleans Silver and Gold before ever stepping foot into a PAWN shop. Thanks Alex for your honest business practices!

Wow! What a great discovery! I had never been here before and I’m really glad I ventured in. The owners are very friendly and I must have spent about an hour looking at all of their jewelry. Great deals to be had here – most of their sterling silver earrings average around $ 30 and I came home with a purse full of affordable treasures! They also said they were expanding soon, can’t wait to see this place grow!
