I am torn about this shop. The stock is diverse and created by local (or former local) artisans. There is blown glass, pottery, metalwork, woodwork, kitschy crafts, jewelry, and paper goods. The prices are varied depending on the artist. That’s the good.
The awkward is that the shopkeeper treats the store as her home… in a messy way. And that just feels uncomfortable to me.
The great or terrible? There are 3 shop cats who have run of the place and they are huge. I enjoyed them, but my Mom would freak out and my Dad would go into respiratory distress by walking in.
In summation, go to find handcrafted Louisiana upscale crafts… but not if you’re allergic to cats.
