Yet another fun Unilocal Event put on by Morgan! This wasn’t just a wine tasting. We got to play wine bingo and we were! encouraged! to drink all the wines! There was also a huge spread of crackers, cheeses, and spreads — oh so yummy. There were also games to be played — both board and video. And we got to explore the warehouse, which isn’t really a warehouse, just a few rows of shelves. The Brady’s staff was incredibly friendly and excited to host us. They were happy to talk about any of the wines, or beers, or other liquors they had available. This was definitely a fun time.

I loved this event! I had never been to Brady’s Wine Warehouse, so this was a treat. Tucked away in a strip store section of Oretha Castle was a beautiful, and fully stocked wine and beer store. We were treated to several tasting stations including whites, reds, and roses. Most were delish. A couple were a little too sweet for my liking. An amazing cheese spread was laid out for us, and I fell in love with the berry and chipotle jelly! YUM! It was great to meet Patrick Brady. You can tell he’s passionate about his new shop. We capped the night off with a game of Trivial Pursuit where my team took home the goodie bag! Some added pluses to make note of: There are NUMEROUS bottles under $ 15. Craft beer tastings on Friday afternoons. Off street parking. Video games!

C’mon I was greeted at the door with a delicious glass of bubbles… what else could a girl want? Oh wait… there’s more wine and cheese and delightful friends? That’s what else I could want. I couldn’t believe how huge this wine shop is… it goes much farther back than I thought. And the staff was great… friendly and knowledgeable. Their wine selections were tasty and different. The cheese spread was stunning and made my mousey self very happy. Who cares if the crackers were gobbled up? It was a great venue to stand around and chat with friends. Thanks to Brady’s & Morgan for having us.

Tons of wine, tons of cheese, tons of fun. Another fantastic event put on by Morgan and hosted by my new favorite wine shop, Brady’s Wine warehouse! Okay, it may be the only wine shop I’ve been to in the city, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be my favorite. I thought I was in heaven when I was greeted at the door with a glass of delicious Prosecco. Nope, still on this mortal coil, but that sweet bubbly made it that much more bearable. Follow that up with a few red wines(loved the Cabernet) and a few white wines(loved the Sauvignon Blanc and the Rose), plus some delicious snacks, and suddenly I feel like I could probably live in here really really happily. I want to thank all of my fellow Unilocalers who, when confronted with a lack of crackers, said, «Eh, whatever» and continued to go to town on that cheese. You are all people of my soul. #cheeseforever Can’t wait to make it back for some more tastings at Brady’s! Thanks so much for hosting us!

Great new Wine Bar /Store in one of my favorite up and coming neighborhoods. Very convenient to CBD and Downtown NOLA. Great group of folks who go out of their way to assist you. Awesome selection of wine and spirits.

The stars came together last night. An Elite Unilocal event at a wine store. I couldn’t ask for much more in life. The parking lot was packed, but since the stars were aligned, someone was leaving just as I pulled in. The event was off to a great start. Wandered into the store and as I was signing up, I was handed a glass of Prosecco. What a distraction, but I did remember to check in to the event and received my Brady’s Wine Warehouse wine and food pairing fridge magnet. And a Unilocal koozie for the next event that has beer. Plus the usual Unilocal swag. There was 8 wines altogether to try, the Prosecco, four more white wines and three red wines. As you sampled each one, you marked it off your Vingo card which was the entry fee to the raffle. I didn’t win. I’m not a big white wine fan, but I did like the Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. A nice citrus grapefruit taste that would go well chilled while sitting on the back porch in the late afternoon. My favorite among the reds was the Veedercrest Cabernet Sauvignon which was made with Napa and Mendocino grapes, plus some Syrah to give it a more of a garnet color. It wasn’t your traditional big bold Napa cab, but something a light lighter that you could drink by itself or with a lighter meat, such as ham or pork, rather than a steak. Liked it well enough, I bought four bottles to bring home. It was a great evening, chatted with some old friends, met some new friends, nibbled on some awesome cheese, and was sucked into the Trivial Pursuit game. Would I come back? Yes, even without a Unilocal event to entice me inside. I was impressed with their selection of wines.
