Pizza Gusto is absolutely fantastic! I am in town for a conference and needed to catch up on work so ordered delivery. The calzone was perfection with pepperoni, mushroom, and red onion. Also had the Gusto’s Special pizza with no olives, add mushrooms. Preferred the calzone, but the pizza was still great and perfect for leftovers!!! I will certainly be ordering again next year.

So delicious. I ordered the Gusto special without olives and it was pizza perfection. Delivery to the hotel was really fast and the cheesecake was good as well. Definitely worth it; I will order from here again!

Got some delivery last night during a babysitting gig. We started off with the garlic knots and a Caesar salad. The garlic knots are great. Best part of the meal. The salad was alright. The dressing was a little too lemony for me. Almost sweet like a honey mustard. You could taste the anchovy though. Idk if they make it or not. The spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were tough y’all. They needed some serious moisture. The pasta and sauce was about what you’d expect. This was actually my dining partner’s order; I got some margherita pizza. It was pretty good. The sauce was good! There was a nice fresh basil flavor. The shaved parm on top wasn’t traditional but I like cheese so it was cool. Oh the best thing was that if you spend 25 dollars you get free cake or salad. We got cake. Honestly if I lived uptown I would order this again, but it’s no Pizza D.

Downtown on an incredibly rainy Monday night, nestled in my hotel room. Dinner plans with a friend fell through. Had received a flyer under my door for Pizza Gusto, and figured why not? Ordered way too much food, as usual — Extra large steak pizza: Probably could have used an extra drizzle of garlic sauce on top after baking. Entire pizza felt a little too dry for me. Not sure I loved the combination of the fresh mushrooms and capers. Tasted ok, but not entirely harmonious. Large Caesar salad with chicken: Basic salad, thinly sliced warm chicken wrapped separately, softer croutons, tangy so-so dressing. Came with bread sticks. All perfectly fine, though nothing to rave about. Meatball calzone: Best part of my meal. Nice flavor, not lacking in moisture, nice dough. My only request would be more garlic in the homemade sauce. I always want more garlic, though. Think I should travel with granulated garlic powder. If you order over $ 25, you can get either free bread sticks or free piece of chocolate cake. The chocolate cake is not overly sweet, which is nice. Crushed Oreo cookie crust, chocolate mousse, cake, mousse, ganache, and shavings. Makes a nice pick me up for breakfast. Props to those that deliver on nasty weather nights. This on-foot-only traveler truly appreciates you! Overall, you could do worse for a meal but you could also do better. I like trying new places on vacation, but sometimes it’s hit or miss. This one’s right in the middle.

Descent pizza, didnt blow my mind. Had fast delivery. Placed an order and they quoted me price that was higher than what was on the website. The lady said those prices were wrong and they should have changed the site. Im thinking why is that my problem? Change the damn website. Probably wouldn’t go again because the website thing is just lazy.

We were looking for dinner by delivery and so glad we chose Pizza Gusto. The calzones were very large and tasted great! Fresh lettuce and cheese on the salad, yet wrapped the shrimp to keep it fresh during delivery. Great food, would recommend. They even made sure to ask how many people were eating to ensure they sent enough eating utensils. Not many places go the extra mile.

My sister and I got one of their menus left on our door a few nights ago. At first, I thought to myself, «Great, another pizza place.» However, I was pleasantly surprised with how yummy it was. The lady on the phone was very nice. Deliver was quick and I really liked the care taken in packaging our food. We ordered the spinach & artichoke dip which came with yummy bread sticks. It wasn’t too cheesy and piping hot. We also ordered the lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs. They cut up my meatball which I liked and everything was flavorful and yummy. Because our order was over $ 25, we got a free piece of chocolate cake which was so good!!! This is not just another pizza place. It’s really good and I will definitely order again.

One of the nights I was staying at St. Vincent’s and staying in, I got hungry. It was cold, rainy, and dark outside and I didn’t wanna go far. This place was conveniently located within the hostel. Food came out relatively quick, nice big serving, nice cashier lady. I thought it was really good!

The pizza is good, if not necessarily great — on our first try we got the Gusto Special which had good ingredients and nice overall flavor. The main drawback about Pizza Gusto is the crust which is somewhat generic, and for me the crust often makes the pizza. For delivery to the LGD it’s a nice change of pace from Reginelli’s(which is just about the only other decent place with delivery) but my wife still prefers Reginelli’s overall. The added bonus of Pizza Gusto which bumps it up to 4 stars is the tasty garlic bread bites and free salad or slice of chocolate cake with an order of $ 25 or more. It took a couple bottles of soda to push me over $ 25 but the cake was good and my wife always appreciates a bite of chocolate in the evening so we’ll have that to enjoy during the next couple days. 3 or 3.5 stars for the pizza, 4 stars overall. Worth a call for delivery if you’re in the area — I presume they deliver to the Warehouse District, Lower Garden District, and Garden District plus possibly more of town which you would have to confirm.

This place has pretty tasty pizza and friendly service. I had the Spicy Meatball, which had flavorful meatball slices and was surprisingly spicy. FYI, it is somewhat hidden and not visible from Magazine. You need to go into the St. Vincent’s guesthouse, then go through the lobby and out into the courtyard. It’s good to have a solid pizza place in walking distance in this neighborhood.

Pizza Gusto is excellent! The spinach and artichoke pizza has a great combination of flavors without being«too much» and I think I just found the best hot wings in the city!!! Fabulous food and quick delivery~ Will recommend to all!
