We came for vegan Sunday brunch, which was imaginative, homemade and delicious. Service was fantastic. $ 15 for a large 4 course meal. We’ll absolutely be back.

Don’t go to the vegan brunch. While they may be well intentioned and nice people, this is over priced and misleading. The portions are small and there are very few dishes actually available. We paid for 3 meals and didn’t even receive all our plates. The vegan waffles and syrup were very good, but they didn’t even have free water. The main quinoa/kale dish was disappointing as was the experience as a whole. I left hungry. Very weird considering this was ranked one of the best of the big easy, not up to par with what was advertised.

When we were talking about tea joints on the talk boards a few weeks ago, I somehow stumbled upon a FB page for this new place(open 1 month!) I created a listing and bookmarked it and I finally made it over last week. It’s located in the former residence side of a double which clearly has always been ½ business(now a barber shop) and ½ house. The front room is the counter and where you dress up your coffee or tea. And the next couple of rooms are set up with tables and a sofa and a chess board and games and plenty of beautiful murals. The teas were great with samples to smell on the counter. I chose a straight up Chinese green which was amazing and one I hadn’t had before. I’m not much for florals and fruits in my tea so I’m always happy to find a very traditional type. My companion had a blend of two teas and said it was delicious. I didn’t try any of the baked goods or lunch items, but will have to give those a shot on my next visit. Great addition to the neighborhood.

This is a study dream. A über amount of delicious tea options including a sweet ginger spice mate or strawberry oolong tea — or you can get a coconut dream coffee(coconut milk, coconut syrup i believe, coffee). The tables are plentiful in the back, there is free wifi, there are treats for all of your eating persuasions(gf coming i was told)… I’ve got a procrastinated paper due next week & i will be making this space my 2nd home this weekend. It’s also good for hang outs/board games. Sometimes I go to a coffee shop & feel bad for talking due to the serious business vibe at some spots — not here, this café is ideal for all kinds of social interactions.
