I agree with A. H. The coffee is good, but the afternoon staff acts like you’re bothering them when you order something. The morning staff is always friendly. Time for some new staff members.

Really bad experience all around – staff, service, and coffee/tea. Can’t say anything nice. They do NOT like tourists. Don’t waste your money at this dismal establishment.

Great food for cheap(bagel+pecan bar+chicory coffee for less than $ 5!), really friendly staff and great environment. I loved it!

Still Perkin’s staff is very sweet and friendly — even with the huge influx of tourists everyday. Situated in a tour heavy area of the Garden District, this little coffee shop is connected to a small mall of shops. Cute indoors — cute chairs, cute gift items. Some things are pricey but what things in coffee shops aren’t? They get baked goods(muffins, breakfast bread, bagels) from various places in the city and tell you so.

I’m in here no less than 3 times a week for work. I can’t imagine the shopping center without this place. It’s a great meeting spot so can get quite hectic. Coffee is always hot and fresh. A delicious local roast provides nice flavor. The staff here works hard, they’re always buzzing about replenishing needed items and the display case. Frozen lemonade is so refreshing in the summer. They serve a fantastic Cranberry oat bar that I’ve enjoyed for years. Occasionally they have these gingersnap cookies in Ziploc bags(looking like homemade goodness) that are on the counter and yummy.

I must say I agree with lots of reviews on this place. The location is great, being right in the Garden District. Walking around the area in summer is so hot that you almost have no choice but to stop by this coffee shop. They also have a bathroom outside… definitely a plus. However, I thought my iced coffee was filled with too much ice and overpriced. The employees are kinda rude too.

Really clean. Fast service. Lots of different flavors of tea and cookies were really good.

I like the coffee here and everyone is fairly nice too. They have a nice selection of pastries and some sandwiches and it’s a good place to chill and enjoy your purchase. Sometimes it tends to get a bit crowded from the tour groups the congregate right outside so you have to watch for this. Also, if you buy anything that you want to put jelly on, they may charge you extra for a jelly packet as my friend found out recently. :(Otherwise, it’s nice and they have a nice patio for you to sit on when it’s not over 100 degrees.

Great stop for a refreshing beverage or light meal. The interior is lovely and relaxed with rattan chairs set around small tables. There is a nice patio for pleasant days. The staff is bustling and friendly. Their specials are written behind the counter on a chalkboard so they can be changed often. Try the frozen lemonade. It is magnificent! The crushed ice is small enough to drink but large enough to crunch. Simply perfect!!!

Great location! Other than that, plenty of better spots! Coffee ok, pastries not so good, and the only coffee shop that is not dog friendly! Live only a block away, but regularly walk right by and head to one of the many better spots in the neighborhood for a much better experience!

Came to meet our tour guide. While we were waiting, we had a small cup of Garden district blend. The small was a good size and the coffee was rich and robust. A big small was only $ 2.95! There’s a nice patio to sit outside.

Sitting pretty in the Garden District of NOLA, this busy coffee shop has great coffee however, unfortunately, the most dry Play doh like Peanut butter cookies. A major disappointment.

Excellent location. Right in the heart of the Garden District within a stone’s throw of Lafayette Cemetery. I imagine in the sweaty months of summer this is a oasis. When we were roaming around it was a perfectly balmy 72 degrees. Inside it’s a throw back to the 80s(not a good thing in this instance), but does have a nice shaded patio. My iced coffee was terrible(super weak and tasted like instant coffee). Unless you’re ready to pass out from the sweltering heat I say skip it.

Nice coffee place with great outdoors sitting, good music and reasonable food and coffee. Great place to take a break while strolling around the garden district.

It’s weird that I live in Austin but I have two recent check in’s here. Why? Well, because it’s that good. In addition to great coffee(I’ve tried iced coffee, americano, mocha, and latte), it’s inside a converted ice rink(super cool), is bright and clean and cute inside, has all kinds of fun trinkets/gifts, and lastly, makes for the perfect morning in NOLA. By this I mean, catch an early street car over to the Garden District. Stop for coffee at Still Perkin then stroll around and take it in. Or, you could do this in reverse order, walk around first then cool down(or warm up) at Still Perkin. Then, head over to Lafayette cemetery and wander around in awe. If you want to extend your Garden District day, head over to Magazine and hit up the shops(the thrift store and key shop are a must) then grab a bite(Rum House ftw!).

I know for a FACT I have reviewed Still Perkin’ before, because one of their employees emailed me about my experience the last time I was here. I guess my last review is hanging out somewhere with the Loch Ness monster and Bigfoot. Anyway, Still Perkin’ is a cute little Garden District shop with a friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Walking in, it almost doesn’t feel like you are in an actual coffee shop. The way the tables and chairs are setup, it almost feels a bit like a library. This isn’t a bad thing at all as I found the shop fairly quiet, considering I stopped in on a busy morning. If I had had time to stay, I probably would have and I can see how this would be a nice spot to do some work or study. I ordered an iced coffee(which I am still sipping as I type this) and it’s not too bad. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but for what it is it’s fairly good. I wish that the coffee had a bit more kick to it, as it tastes like all the other iced coffee that I seem to get at every other coffee place.

PASTRY’D BEBETTERAS A PAPERWEIGHT. From the muffins to the almandine biscuit all are often dry and stale. BITTERCOFFEE without a smooth thickness. I don’t think they’ve cleaned their filters in a while. I’VENEVERLIKEDTHISPLACEANYWAY. I don’t know how long exactly but I swear I’ve had over 25 years of consistently bad experiences here. And although it looks cozy on the surface the entitled bourgie crowd tries way to hard to play the part. MORENEIGHBORHOODYUPTOWNCOFFEECAFÉS: Boulangerie, Refuel, Krewe Du Brew, New Orleans Coffee & Beignet’s, Hey Café, Reservoir, Surrey’s, Maple Street Patisserie, Toast, CCs, Sanka in one of those burnt-orange Solo cozy cups…

We stopped in here briefly before our graveyard tour as it sits right across from the cemetery and it reminded me a good bit of Starbucks without the dark colors to be quite blunt. The lady who waited on us was very nice and the prices weren’t too bad. We each got an iced coffee which was top notch. The restaurant is nice and cool for those of us who want to escape the New Orleans heat and remarkably clean as well. It really feels comfortable as a place to just hang out and take a slight break and maybe catch up on some reading or just veg out. In other words it’s a great coffee shop and how all coffee shops should be. I’d definitely go back here and if we are in the area I likely will.

This is a really nice, casual, and spacious coffee shop to study at and just to chill at. I recently found out it’s connected to a mini mall area with other stores too from the inside. The service and staff here were also very friendly. It’s in a great location near the garden district and other places like commander’s palace. I ordered my usual ice latte here which was good, they also serve other things like lemonade, bagels, and pastries. The whole atmosphere is very comfortable, it feels like you’re at home. Nice place to visit!
