Moved here two years ago from Philly. This is as good as it gets. Fortunately my friend told me about this place. Based on my previous experience in the Tampa area I was skeptical, but was pleasantly surprised. Best I have found so far. They even have Whiz! On a side note, the fries are also very good.

I’ve been in search of the best Philly cheesesteak in FL for some time and finally found it at Rocky’s. It starts with a soft roll. The meat is chopped fine, is moist and most importantly, doesn’t skimp on the quantity. Requested mushrooms and jalapeños were also ample and delicious additions. Staff is pleasant and aim to please. Nice experience overall. I lived in Philly and can honestly say this cheesesteak tastes like «home». Have been there 3 times since I discovered them and can’t wait to go back.

I’m mainly writing this review because of the negative one I see right below it. While Barbara may have traveled to Philly a bunch of times (and probably had many many tourist cheesesteaks), I’m actually from Philly (Ridley Park). I have to say, this place is spot on. I’ve been to almost every Philly place in the area, and this is the only place in Tampa I would actually order a cheesesteak from.
Take it from me, if you are going to get a cheesesteak, and live in this area, this is the ONLY place to go.

Legit cheesesteak joint, just like the ones on the side-​streets of Philly I’ve been to. Steak was awesome, cheese fries were awesome, and the inside of the restaurant holds true to it’s Philly cheesesteak joint roots. If you’ve never had a legit Philly steak, you can get one here. Awesome job Rocky’s.

Wings were a little dry food was kinda cold pribably because we picked a wierd time to dine (4:00 Pm on a Tuesday), but the sauce on the wings definitely made up for it. Highly recommended.

We love Rocky’s! Everyone is friendly, the food is always hot and delicious. We recommend this place to everyone we know, especially people that just re-​located here from the North, it’s as close as they can get to home!

Absolutely the best Philly cheesesteak in the USA! The prices are really low for the quality and quantity you receive. This is always the first place we go to eat out after arriving in NPR for the season. Owner is personable and always lets you know that appreciates your business.

Tried this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Stopped in on a Wednesday night and was concerned we were the only customers but they took a few phone orders while we waited. Food was ready very quickly which was another surprise. Most of all I enjoyed being thanked for our business by who I think might have been the owner.
We had the steak and chicken philly sandwiches both were very yummy! Also had the mild and BBQ wings, tasty too! Fried mushrooms were average, didn’t care for the flavor of the breading on them. Lastly we somehow ended up with a bag of fries not sure if it was a mistake or came with something we ordered but they were very good, cooked perfectly and had a good amount of season salt on them which made it impossible to stop eating them! I do recommend this place!

Ate here multiple times since moving here from NY. Food is always amazing. Tonight was first time for delivery, took 11 minutes from call to door and driver was very nice. Food is delicious as always. Definitely recommend to anyone!

Love Rocky’s!!! I live in Tampa but whenever I’m in the New Port Richey area I love coming here for lunch! I always know what to expect and the service is always great. No matter how busy they are, the owner always pops his head around the corner to ask me how my food is which I think is so nice! Great local business that really takes pride in what they do!!!

I would never go back to this place after having a bad meal and the owner verbally accosted me for not liking his food. The cheese steak is good but the owner doesn’t know how go take a bad meal and turn it around to a long standing customer. too bad for his employees they ultimately lose.

Pleasantly surprised!
So, Rocky’s sits in a little seedy strip mall… and the outside is not super attractive. But inside is a neat little place in a 50’s diner style.
We ordered an appetizer of loaded tater tots… covered in cheese, sour cream and chives. Pretty good taste but the chives were kind of wilted.
I enjoyed my cheesesteak… real good bread and meat… I was worried that it would be thick ribeye meat with gristle like up north… but it was pretty good.
It would be cool if they had an Italian beef sandwich too… the meat is good enough to make it happen.
My son had boneless wings… they were fair, just soaking in sauce.
Service was excellent with a very friendly staff. I’m giving four stars with a chance to move up or down on next visit.
