First time trying this place and I really enjoyed my mocha coffee frappé. I had a great service too! She’s very helpful :) I will definitely be back here :)

Had a great experience at 16 Handles. Not only were the flavor choices excellent(Yummy Chocolicious, the new Chocolate Caramel, Mint Chip, Arriba Coffee, and Tahitian Vanilla are some of my favorites), but the service was stellar as well. Danny is wonderful. His customer service is excellent(helpful, knowledgeable, patient) and it is obvious that he puts 110% into his job. When he was not helpful customers, I noticed he was making sure the store was tidy). I would definitely go back to this location because of Danny.

I like the variety of flavors here(call it 16 handles!) — from NY Cheesecake over Mint Chocolate to Nutella and Pistachio. Compared to Pinkberry or Yogurtworld their flavors taste a bit artificial though, and some are too watery(Raspberry). Also, they don’t offer plain frozen yogurt which I found odd for a froyo place. In lack of better alternatives around I’d come back.

Really friendly staff with your usual selection, PLUS some oddities that seem to not yet be in or already be out of rotation at other NYC locations.

We love coming here for the Monday smoothie BOGOs. Pretty sad today is the last day! Always enjoy both the smoothies and froyo. The staff are always polite and friendly at checkout(even when I’ve seen them dealing with rude guests). Always a great place for a healthier option sweet treat!

Too many crazy flavors. Need to have a basic vanilla. Tart was ok. Service not great and was crowded. But probably due to timing of summer camps getting out. My yogurt was practically melted by the time we got it paid for.

16 Handles is a solid fro-yo place on the UWS close-ish to Columbia. They’ve got a lot of good flavors(I personally really like Birthday Cake), and they’re pretty cheap(cheaper with a student ID — don’t forget yours at home!). To me, 16 Handles doesn’t distinguish itself from most other fro-yo places; perhaps it’s better than Pinkberry per the cost and self-serve aspect, but it’s not so much better than, say, Off the Wall or something. I certainly think it’s a good fro-yo place and I’ll go back when my friends go on their next trip, but it’s not out-of-this-world good.

I’m a huge 16 Handles fan. Not only do their flavored taste great(personally a huge fan of their Nutella, pistachio, and graham cracker), but they’re so well priced! I believe they charge 59 cents an ounce, and with my student discount(that’s right, make sure you bring your student ID) it’s even cheaper. And in terms of comparison to pink berry(because we all know that’s the main competitor for froyo), I think 16 handles is much, much better.(Not to mention, usually half the price.)

This location is kosher so no mochi which is a huge disappointment to me. They seemed to have less of a fruit selection then other locations. Otherwise it’s your typical 16 Handles. They were out of rewards cards when I went.

The yogurt is great here, as it is at all other Handles locations, but this review is really for Ms. Cooper. I came in right after kids were getting let out of school and she expertly dealt with a packed store, non-English speaking customers, taste-testing, and a lost item, in addition to ringing up. She was absolutely excellent. She had the place on lock, and I trust now that this is the location to go to

Really enjoyed my frozen yogurt from here. I usually go to pinkberry and get mango with a whole bunch of fruit(yummy!). Since I was in the area of 16 handles and just had brunch, I wanted to go for something more dessert like and ended up loving it. We were allowed to try samples(clutch!) because there are way too many options to really know what you’re getting yourself into. And I’m pretty indecisive when it comes to these things. I ended up getting a little cheesecake, a little Cinnabon and a little cookies and cream. I got a few toppings and topped it off with warm fudge and whipped cream. AMAZING! A small size was more than enough and tasted great. I’ll be back!

Coming from the West Coast, a land heavily saturated with self-serve froyo, the prominence of Pinkberry in NYC and its ilk always surprised me. Thank the froyo gods for 16 Handles. The frozen yogurt here is great. The flavors are well blended and cross the flavor spectrum from tangy and fruity to sweet and chocolatey. The freedom to mix and match flavors to your choosing, scoop toppings to your own preference, and pay for it by weight at affordable prices is always worth it. Definitely coming again.

Glacé au poids. Mettez les saveurs, les coulis, les friandises que vous voulez. Les glaces sont savoureuses! Une véritable surprise pour le prix.

My bf and I were going to go here because he’s lactose intolerant and they usually have good dairy free fro yo flavors. On this particular occasion however, they only had key lime and watermelon and no other flavors so we left. They really should have a better selection for people who like ice cream but can’t have dairy. They should especially have flavors that would go better with their toppings. I can’t imagine putting chocolate or peanut butter on watermelon and key lime flavored fro-yo. And why don’t they have like a just plain chocolate or just plain vanilla dairy free fro-yo?

Dee. Lish. Almost tastes like ice cream. Hands down the best FroYo in the biz. It’s seriously so good, I dream of it. If this isn’t love, I don’t know what is.

I come to this location a lot, because it seems to be fairly close to all the restaurants I love, & self-serve frozen yogurt is the perfect dessert after a nice evening. Unfortunately, I’m not the only one who thinks so. It’s always busy here, & the flow of the froyo/topping stations is not conducive to the crowd of people trying to read the flavors & try free samples. BUT, there’s a lot of indoor & outdoor seating, so once you get your treats, you should be able to find a spot to enjoy it. The employees are very friendly, always saying«Welcome to 16 Handles!» when we walk in, and«Thank you!» when we leave. The froyo flavors are always up-to-date(and delicious!). Everything is kept clean & the toppings are well-stocked … and these are the real reasons I keep coming back.

Same excellent yogurt as all the locations, but this spot gets a lower rating since they still employ the foolish sample model of having someone serve you tiny little shots. Just let me get my own man. Still a great choice though especially with the lack of frozen yogurt in this area.
