A 7 Eleven in Chinatown?!? Seems kinda out of place doesn’t it? Oh well– it does exist and it’s small. It’s your basic convenient store and will do when you need something basic.

7-Eleven recently opened up at this location. I passed by this place several times when it was still closed and under construction. It never did open up in time for free slushie day, but the day I decided to take pictures of 7-Eleven, there was a 7-Eleven employee outside giving away free cups of cappuccino, brownie or blueberry bites. I got a free regular sized cappuccino and brownie bite. Woo-hoo! It foiled my plans to take full storefront picture as there were people gathering to get a taste of the freebies. Inside, 7-Eleven is clean and longish and there are the various items you can get quickly, from sodas, cold beverages, coffee, donuts and other prepackaged sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit and the regular stuff you can get at a convenience store. Oh yes! They even have my favorite Hostess Sno-Ball. To my amazement they even sold beef jerky and Slim Jim type jerky sausages where you can select the items yourself. The jerky was right in front by the cashiers. Right now, at this location there is a special of 4 mini empanadas for $ 1. 7-Eleven has specials in there stores and the prices of beverages sometimes go on sale. I have tried the glazed donuts before at the 14th Street location and they are very respectable and decent and price right for the 2 for $ 1 special. They are more affordable the the local drug stores in the area.
