Two entrances. Walk on to the uptown platform, go downstairs to go to the downtown platform. If you exit through the exit on your left, assuming you’re facing the wall, you can enter the Museum of Natural History through the station. This train station is filled with pretty art. On the floor, on the wall, by the entrances. Just so pleasing to sit here and enjoy the view.

I give it four stars just because of the dinosaur mosaics that lead you to the Museum of Natural history. Nice touch, and it gives me a smile at the end of my long day in the greatest city in the world.

***This New York subway station lets out to the famed Museum of Natural History(a prominent New York restaurant Dovetail as well as a Shake Shack are also nearby); this station is also right next to Central Park and has a nice look(including a dinosaur fossil replica on the walls to tie in the nearby New York attraction); this station operates smoothly and allows you to get to Hell’s Kitchen, Columbus Circle and Times Square quickly; for your information, Uptown trains are located on the upper level while Downtown trains are located on the lower level*** This is not the most congested area of Manhattan, but I imagine parking here is both hard to find as well as very expensive.

This subway station was the closest to the hotel that my husband stayed at so we used this station often during our stay in NYC. It only serves local trains. I like the mosaic designs on the wall.

There’s nice décor on the walls here & they definitely play up being the stop for the Museum of Natural History. Otherwise, it’s a local stop and you don’t have to leave the station to get the subway in the other direction if you get off at the wrong stop.
